    Hand prints in wall.

Engaged with Jeff of Tri Valley last year. Can't complete the work you pay him for, does not not have a competent crew and he's a bit crazy. He damaged my property dug holes and never filled them, broke my landscape lights, broke my irrigation and tells lies. He called the fire department on us after he broke our irrigation system. And it flooded here. Here's some nice communication from him: "You are a mother fucker I'm not paying for the damage you have to pay for it " And " and we will no longer be providing any services of any kind for you. Jeff " After he damaged everything. I called him, does not respond left garbage all over my property. Dirty foot prints etc. hand prints on walls.

5 Stars because... - Jeff is awesome and really cares - Project was done quickly and on time - Project was done on budget (with a very competitive estimate) - Jeff brought a great vision for our space - All the work was very professional with NO corners cut at all We had a FANTASTIC experience with Jeff and TriValley Landscape; they have our business for life. We've been through the whole process of getting quotes and browsing through Yelp for contractors and I can definitely say that the next time we have a landscaping project come up, we're going straight to Jeff. We received 5 estimates for our backyard - from companies large and small - and Jeff was the only one who actually listened to what we wanted and then gave thoughtful suggestions based on his expertise and actually had a vision for the space. Nearly every other company asked what we wanted but never asked any follow up questions or showed any interest in providing an expert opinion. That would be fine if I was a landscape architect and a botanist but... I'm not!! Jeff is extremely valuable not only for the high quality work that he and his team does, but for the knowledge and expertise that he brings to the table, and the fact that he actually CARES. Early on in the estimate process I mentioned to Jeff that we recently had a baby and that part of my motivation for updating our backyard was to make the space more functional as a fun play space for our son as he grows up. Jeff constantly tweaked the design and approach to accommodate this ultimate goal for the space. He purposefully laid out the plants and trees so that our son could run through the landscape once it grows in (which is tricky because the hillside is steep), he brought in extra boulders to give him something to climb up on and jump off of, and consciously steered us away from any poisonous or dangerous plants. Now, with the design that Jeff laid out, we are so so excited to see our son enjoy the backyard for years to come!! I should also mention that I have strong opinions when it comes to the design and layout of our home which made Jeff's approach even more impressive. Jeff seamlessly blended his professional opinion with my particular ideas and desires which made for a really enjoyable and collaborative experience; and ultimately a final product that we are VERY happy with! I don't usually write Yelp reviews (ever really) but our experience with Jeff was so positive that I felt compelled to write one here. That should say it all!

TriValley Landscape is AMAZING!! My mind was blown away at how knowledgeable Jeff is!! He was so awesome to work with! Best customer service ever!! The line of communication with him was phenomenal. I don't think there is another company I would use after our experience. I had called 4 different company's out for a quote 3 showed up. Not one was even close to having the best prices and customer service TriValley Landscape had!! They have a forever customer right here! Looking forward to future project with them!!

Seriously look NO FURTHER. Jeff came recommended from a friend I trust. Jeff was my 3rd and final bid. Instantly, I knew TriValley Landscape and I were a good fit. Jeff LISTENS to what your needs are. There is NO up selling, In fact where the other bidders wanted to replace EVERYTHING, Jeff made sure to utilize the existing sprinkler system. The plans and communications were amazing. I am so very happy with how everything turned out. It was a simple freshening up of a boring landscape, at a very reasonable rate. BONUS they maintain your new scape for 3 months who does that?! Jeff was also on site everyday to check on the work being done. When something needed to be followed up on, it was taken care of. I WILL be calling them again to do the backyard.

We interviewed several landscapers but Jeff was the one with a vision. He explained to us what every plant, currently in our yard, needed as to sun, the botanical name of each what kind of light and watering they needed. He took us to a wholesale location in San Ramon to see our future plants picking them out by name, color and placement in the yard. We had removed a pool and provided him with a blank slate and wow did he excel in listening to our ideas and making them even better! His team were on time, polite, professionals, that were tolerant with our questions and very hard working. Jeff never over promised, carefully as if painting on a canvas he provided us with a dream come true back yard. For years we could not enjoy the yard as it was 85% pool. Now it is beautiful, tranquil, and a yard we are happy to share with friends. Thank you Jeff for your service, honesty and friendship.

Jeff and his crew transformed our yard from a hodgepodge of plants to a beautiful coordinated front and side yard. When we called we weren't sure exactly what needed to be done, we just wanted our yard to look better, to have the sprinklers work, have drip watering, a concrete path, and have the flagstone path repaired. Jeff knows what he's doing. He choose the best plants for us considering sun, shade, soil, and watering conditions. It was obvious that everyone of his guys understood what he wanted and followed his directions. He, Antonio, and Chase worked hard to make sure things were done right. We are so happy with the results.

Tri Valley Landscape gets 5 stars from me. The owner helped me tremendously when he was the only contractor of 5 that I queried to provide a quote on a patio repair where the previous storm had uprooted a tree and damaged a portion of the 1,000 square foot tiled surface; other contractors thought the job was not profitable enough for them unless they could demo and rebuild, which I could not afford. Tri Valley did such a good job on the patio repair that I asked for an a la cart quote on a refresh of our 12 years old back yard. Very transparent pricing, was clear how much I would pay up front. They cut down and hauled off all the old ragged growth, planted new plants, laid new sod, spread mulch on all the beds, and even constructed 8x4 raised vegetable planters. We also chose a few areas for decomposed granite hardscape to save on water, which blended in with the overall look. The design process was easy and collaborative, the owner (Jeff) has a deep knowledge of native and non-native plants which really helped us choose a drought hardy final design. Finished landscape looks great !

Backyard: new sprinker system, sod, landscaping, and we will put a playstructure in the corner.

They were recommended by my swim spa dealer, Turbo Spas in Dublin. The crew was easy to work with, professional and followed my instructions to the letter. I just want to give some feedback from what I have learned since because this will help others avoid the same mistake I made. After waiting 28 days for the concrete to cure I set my 12' swim spa and 8' hot tub on the pad. 6 months later my swim spa cracked on the bottom. I am not sure about this but I believe the spa cracked because of the control lines running underneath the spa because that is where the spa shell cracked. Lessons learned is never add control lines where a swim spa will be set. This was no fault of Swanson's, It was my fault for recommending control line locations. All is well now because my swim spa was repaired and I have the spa floating on 3" of crushed rock and a spa pad. The spa pad and rock sit on top of 6" steel reinforced concrete.

They also carved out a lovely hillside with custom stairs, a spacious terrace, and game trails perfect for enjoying the view. LEI works with YesPlease.Garden (YPG) who managed the design process and Fresh Coat Restoration who completed the new fence. The partnerships were well integrated and it felt like working with a single team. See my Google Maps review for more on YPG. We are very happy with our project and would recommend LEI because they were professional, courteous, reliable, and provided clear and upfront pricing. Documenting decisions in writing proved helpful for keeping everyone on the same page. Any problems we had were resolved fairly, such as correcting the direction of our stairs. Aaron is a man of his word but prefers to conduct most of his business through texting. We first contacted LEI and they promptly scheduled a time to visit our property with YPG to see what was possible within the budget we set out. We completed the design with YPG and LEI scheduled a time for the project demolition. A later approximate time for planting was set, but that was dependent on the availability of the various plants we had selected. Everything scoped in the design was completed within the budget and any add-ons we later requested were priced separately and fairly.

After deciding to remove our pool, we hired Aaron as the installer for our new landscape project, and we are so glad we did. For months, work was moving forward almost every day, from demolition prep and grading to hardscape, planting, irrigation, lighting, fencing, pergola installation, pebble work, and the finishing touches. The quality of the work was excellent throughout. The paver patio, carport, and front entry all turned out beautifully, and the plants, irrigation, and lighting were installed with great care. We were especially impressed by the rock and pebble work, particularly the dry creek and front mow strip. The mix of stone sizes gave everything a natural, detailed, and polished look that really elevated the final result. Aaron also has a strong eye for detail. He regularly caught things that needed adjustment, even when we had not noticed them ourselves, and he stayed focused on getting everything right. While there were some issues that delayed finishing the project, Aaron took responsibility and worked with us to make them right, which we truly appreciated. In the end, what matters most is that we are thrilled with the outcome. Our yard feels beautiful, welcoming, and complete, and we look forward to years of enjoying it.

Foundation Repair of CA (FRC) is the most disreputable, dishonest company I've ever encountered. I…read morehired them because I didn't want to hire the lowest bidder for a change, and I regret it. I wouldn't sign the contract when told I'd have to do my own masonry repair until sales agent Jesse Marquez showed me FRC corporate material that indicated the brick facade would be removed with a masonry saw, in an approximate 2x2' square. That was false and deceptive advertising. This is what they did to my house. No masonry saw was used, only impact drills, which act as small jackhammers. FRC significantly damaged the entire brick facade, adjacent areas showed extensive cracking, entire areas had the brick facade knocked completely off the house, and the wall foundation was separated from the brick wall entirely. I told the work crew, headed by Luis, to stop using impact wrenches on the bricks immediately, then told them TWICE. Not only did they not stop, despite direct STOP work orders, they then took all of the bricks they'd destroyed, which legally is theft, called conveyance. Jesse Marquez explained that the bricks were so old they'd shattered. Luis returned the bricks after Jesse Marquez called, ignoring my several phone calls and texts. Jesse texted that the bricks were so old they'd shattered. Luis returned them, none were shattered, all were broken by the impact drills. Luis confirmed, texting that the bricks were "broken". They took the bricks to hide the damage. The day FRC received my Contractor's State Licensing Board complaint, FRC messaged that someone would come to assess the damage for repairs, and FRC would repair the masonry they'd destroyed. They first sent Robert Pagan, who acknowledged both that there were no masonry saw marks, and that the damage was excessive. According to FRC, Jesse stated Robert hadn't said this. It wasn't until I pointed out he'd said it while standing in front of a Ring camera did that lie die. FRC then sent Troy Knight, who acknowledged the same, and stated he was there to help, and would see that the masonry was repaired and more. I have several texts, voicemails and emails from FRC stating they will complete the job. They never did. FRC employee Mike Crites was sent to perform the repairs. He returned the following week with the wrong sized bricks in the wrong color, and proceeded to do more damage. This is the work that they did. FRC employee Mike Crites initially stated that he had retired as a mason, he later revised that statement, saying he'd only worked with pavers and concrete. The work performed was so substandard, FRC sent Jovincio, who was the only honest person in my entire dealings with FRC. Jovencio said he wasn't a mason, but had "some training". Jovencio replaced the work done by Mike Crites. This is Mike's effort, and Jovincio's replacement work. The work performed is clearly substandard and unacceptable. FRC acknowledged the workers sent lacked the skills, training and necessary certifications to perform masonry repairs. When I requested that FRC send a mason, and included photos of the work, FRC responded that they'd done me a favor; the workers sent were a courtesy. The very clause they'd ignored (and invalidated) by removing the bricks was cited. That they would do no more, leaving me with the bill for their damage. This is what they left. I obtained a second quote to repair the deficient masonry 'work' FRC workers had done - without a REQUIRED permit, with no mortar pins, odd-sized and broken bricks mortared in randomly, mortar lines that range from non-existent to more than an inch. Crites' also removed the brick facade foundation in several sections, replacing it with sloppy concrete. This is a code-violating 'repair' that is neither plumb nor square. The legitimate mason company from whom I obtained a repair quote updated the quote, which has nearly doubled BECAUSE of the 'repairs' performed by the unqualified FRC employees. FRC called this doing me a favor, saying the inept crew was sent as a 'courtesy'. This is not doing me a favor, this is not a courtesy, this is at best fraud. After signing the contract (under false pretenses), Jesse insisted I needed an additional pier ($3,155) because piers can no longer be placed under a window. A pier was placed under the window. Two other piers were not placed according to the county approved structural engineering ($1,850) diagram. Half the piers were installed in the wrong places, apparently according to Luis' whims. Yesterday Groundworks gave an estimate on properly placing those piers. That's how I learned that the improperly placed piers had lifted a joist completely off its foundation supports. This, too, will require additional expense to correct, before it damages my house - literally to the roof. I should have stuck with Groundworks. This is your cautionary tale - no one who values integrity, ESPECIALLY senior women, shouldn't hire FRC.
