I had an excellent experience with this company. They came over the same day I contacted them. Their rep was really helpful. They gave me a fair and competitive quote. They installed the turf six days later. Their men were extremely professional and did a great job. The results succeed my expectations. I would highly recommend!

Excellent responsive time, all the way through the job and reasonably priced. I found them through Yelp's multiple quote system and I was impressed with every step, from their online scheduling for free estimate, samples brought during the initial estimate to compare, clear contract delineating when payments were due, prompt arrival, timely completion (actually finished an hour early), and professional staff. Top notch! I had a putting green (prior owner) replaced with artificial turf and an area with rocks replaced with artificial turf. I have 2 dogs so they put a layer of pet odor deodorizer also. It looks great. The best part is they didn't charge me extra to pay with a credit card - so many companies do, especially for contract work around the house. And I didn't have to worry about paying thousands of dollars in cash to het the work done. I highly recommend this company.

I received 4x quotes and Bay Area Turf gave the best quote and timeline for our backyard project. I've had sod installed years ago, but now with doggies I couldn't maintain as I would liked to. Called them, got a great quote and they got the job done the following week. Great service, they had all the samples I needed to see which I preferred, service was done in hours and I'm one satisfied customer. I highly recommend them, they are a great crew, service and customer support. Thanks and will definitely use again!

If I could give Bay Area turf a zero, I definitely would! First of, they were very persistent with me when they were trying to win my business, the project manager, even the owner was reaching out to me via email really asking for my business. I thought that was admirable for a business to do that so I decided to give them a chance. I had two people come to give me a quote because something happened with their initial quote - no problem. The day of the scheduled installation, I got an email from their project manager that the turf I chose was no longer in stock so I had to choose another turf. That sucked because I didn't wanna have to choose another turf because my wife and I were pretty set on what we chose but we found another one that was close enough to what we chose so no problem. The turf was installed successfully but before the installers left, I asked them about how to care for the turf and if I needed to know anything about the turf. Thats when they told me "oh you need to tint your windows before Summer". When I asked why they said, the area that the turf was installed will likely get a lot of sun which will burn/melt the turf. Well, that was important information that was not relayed to me when Bay Area Turf folks came out not once but twice to give me a quote. We had a whole shaded side yard that we could have installed our turf if we knew about the sun burning though the turf. I think this is VERY IMPORTANT information that should have been relayed to us! Interestingly, we noticed lines in the turf in like february (turf was installed in October) - it wasnt even summer yet. So I thought maybe the turf was faulty and was falling apart. I reached out to Bay Area turf MULTIPLE TIMES, with no response even after escalating to the owner. Eventually, I got a response and they said the would send someone out to take a look. That also took almost 2-3 months of constant emails and then when the guy came out, he said that it was the sun burning through the turf. So I asked what was next, and he said he would like the company know and that they would follow up. That was in May of 2024. I'm still yet to hear from them... And yes, I have still followed up since, still no reply. Oh yea and the turf is full of weeds at this point its total garbage and waste of my money. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! They are persistent until they have your service and once they do, you never hear from them again.

I got a quote last week from Bay Area Turf and it was the best value we found! The company rep. Austin was great and very honest. Three days later we got the job done in ONE day! Very satisfied and I highly recommend this company!!!!

Upon finishing the job in June it looked great. On recommendation, we paid for the weed barrier. By November, weeds were through the turf. We hired (for an extra ~$350) Andrew Neal who claimed to still work with Bay Area Turf (and signed our contract with them), to remove the weeds December 9th, but weeds were back a week later. On December 29, he emailed to say he'd contact us the next week, but never did. He has ghosted all follow up calls and emails since. On January 25, I posted a negative review because of this. Matt, the owner, texted me asking me to remove the review to "give him a chance to make it right" so I did. On February 1, someone came out for an hour, hand pulled weeds from about 25% of the turf, and left. Matt said he may have planned to come back since he lives down the street from us (he did not come back). On February 7 Matt said he'd send someone out on Friday. Nobody showed, and he has not returned texts/voicemails since. It's February 14, and I can only assume this is his version of "making it right". Our neighbor installed turf (three feet from ours, also with a weed barrier) over a year ago, still weed-free, and has done nothing with it since. I suspect the weed barrier was never installed, or simply poor quality. I'm sure 90% of the time, they do great work, but the 10% when something goes wrong (as sometimes happens), they don't stand by their work (which a reputable/honest company does). A temporary fix of 25% of the turf is not "making it right"...

So I contacted three different landscaping/artificial turf companies on yelp for a project to transform my small backyard. Bay Area to Turf was the most prompt, professional, and price competitive out of all three. We had some scheduling problems and my job had to be rescheduled twice once due to weather, and once due to a fencing problem that I had. Communication wasn't the best. I would email, call or text and go unanswered, however, the job got scheduled and completed this past Monday. My dogs and I could not be happier with the finished result. It was a small job and quoted at one day and the team did it in 4 1/2 hours. Needless to say, I would highly recommend them, however, you need to be diligent about following up with them since communication does not appear to be the strongest. FYI Yelp is not allowing me to put the pictures in the correct order.

Very, very pleased with Bay Area Turf and sister company, GOAT (Greatest of All Turf). We bought a remnant of Silver 92 or 96 (I forget, 90-something) from GOAT a couple of years ago, to test in our backyard, and see how the dogs like it. We didn't add infill or anything, just laid it down like a throw rug. The dogs love it, and in direct sun most of the day, it doesn't get too hot. That was the test we needed. Fast-forward to today: We had BAT come out to install GOAT on two occasions. Once in July, and again in August. We worked with Daniel both times. In 'stage 1' we wanted to cover an area in our backyard that already had lots of concrete slab in odd shapes. BAT had a very fair price and it wasn't much more than if I attempted to do it myself. It turned out great - which led us to decide we wanted GOAT for our stage 2 (side of the house with the new RV Pad). In both installations, we went with Gold Flow 98 Olive with Zeofill pet-infill. Both jobs combined were about 600sqft, and each job was completed in one day. We've only had the turf a short period, but we love the look. The pets also have no issue walking on it at any time of day, and we've had some heat streaks here in Livermore. I was particularly impressed with the cleanliness of lines, seams and detail work around my AC and water filtration system. And just because, when the team was here to install the stage 2 section, they also, unprompted, blew away the leaves and power-broomed the turf installed in July. The turf is great, and the team is great to work with. I highly recommend.

Even though it was clear he had a very busy schedule, he made a point to visit the site daily and was always available to answer my calls, which I really appreciated. The crew themselves were hard workers and clearly skilled in their trade. That said, with a project of this scale, I found that being a highly involved homeowner was necessary. There were a couple of instances where I had to step in to point out issues that might have otherwise gone unnoticed. To their credit, FG Pavers corrected these items immediately once they were raised. I'd recommend them for their craftsmanship and their willingness to make things right.

FG answered all the questions and accommodated our requests to align with the tile vendor recommendations. What won me over with Turf World was: 1. Jason's transparency about the process with sending me his You Tube videos (the job went exactly as promised); 2. The turf itself was the best (was the closest replica to grass, the Catalina Pro was not the softest turf I sampled but was the sturdiest and prettiest and stood up the best like grass, and even my 6 year old daughter saw that it was the most realistic looking of 13 samples); 3) his communication, always prompt and complete, and 4) his price was the best. After researching this for 2 months, I went with Turf World and I am thrilled with the result. My advice? Go around and look at installations. Watch videos. I did and after a ton of consideration I went with Turf Word and I am a 100% happy and satisfied customer, And I'm not an easy target. PS remember as you are comparing the turf samples that soft turf flops easier. We originally called Jeff to talk about fixing our drainage issues - our yard would flood every time it rained, and pool near the patio and foundation. Jeff was so thorough and explained where all our pain points were and how we could most effectively fix them. We decided to install French drains and pumps on both sides of the house to get water moving the right direction. Once we started digging, Jeff and his team realized we could make the drainage work without pumps by grading the yard differently - saving us tons of money! Naturally, we got excited and decided to increase the scope of work to include more landscaping, a few footpaths, small seating area, a bunch of sod for a new lawn, irrigation and a ton of new plants and trees. Jeff and Courtney checked in with us about budget throughout the whole project, making sure to send us new estimates when I got excited about adding something else to the revamp. The team onsite were great - personable, on time, respectful, and they also seemed to really enjoy working with each other, which we felt was a good sign. He gave some great advice, and, frankly, he is the main reason we went with Synlawn. Installation was quick and done efficiently. Then it all went south! Mario said that it was great for pets, citing drainage and durability. It is not good if you have a puppy, which he knew we had, as puppies love to chew on things and the turf pulls out quite easily. Too, shortly after installation, we thought we had a ripple in the turf possibly due to installation. I contacted Mario and he said he would come by and take a look. We never heard from him again. To be honest, it turned out to be nothing, but, nonetheless, he never reached out again. After a couple of months was saw some discoloration around the fountain. I contacted Billy Bright, and he said it was due to the water from the fountain. He said to try CLR cleaner, which didn't change anything, and then he said to try GooGone, which also didn't work. He said Synlawn was not going to do anything about it, since it was due to the fountain. My point is, since it seems to be a known issue, why wasn't this mentioned at the time of the sale by our salesperson, Mario, with 17 years experience! The fountain has been in place long before the turf sale took place. Seemingly it is always what the salesperson doesn't tell you that comes back to bite you. Needless to say, that in no way can I recommend Synlawn to anyone. I am giving them one star as there is no zero.

We love our SYNLawn Synblue 745 lawn…read more Billy and Lou went going above and beyond in answering all my questions, coordinating with other warehouses so I could see samples in person while traveling (since they don't have local offices in the Bay Area, only Sacramento), and really diving in deep as I was analyzing every single detail + pros/cons of all the different turf lines as I was making my decision. Everyone was so patient and great. I probably called and talked to them at least 10+ times, Lou even answered my call while on vacation in Mexico! We only bought the turf and infill and used our own contractor to install in Oakland. However, I did about 6-12 months of research and sample gathering across many different turf companies and suppliers (WaterSavers, TigerTurf, SGS in LA, Heavenly Greens, BeeGreen, etc.) and SYNLawn's quality was consistently superior while also providing the most natural look. We also were considering the previous SynBlue 949 (which is no longer being manufactured) as it doesn't seem to require infill and many past customers in our area are extremely happy with it. It's super lush and felt very nice but has more of a yellowish hue when side-by-side with SynBlue 745. We also wanted to compare but weren't able to get a sample of the 545, but ultimately felt good about going with the higher density and face weight of the 745. Unfortunately, Yelp posted my pics in random order but you can see the general before and after. We're so thankful to have a wonderful place space for our kids, and to have found SYNLawn when we did (it was the last turf company I researched after someone recommended them from a neighborhood FB group). OTHER FINALISTS My other finalists were either Dune/Sage from SGS or an unidentified sample from Heavenly Greens. SGS to their credit was honest that those lines were meant for landscaping and may get matted down or have breakage over time with heavy play usage. We didn't enjoy the sales reps from Heavenly Greens and were unfortunately never able to narrow down the name of the sample we liked from them (there were no tags attached). Our neighbors installed Willow from WaterSavers, but it was not as plush or thick underfoot as the SynBlue 745, and not as natural in appearance. Overall, we're thrilled with our decision and hope this long overdue review helps someone else! (Our kids now use the other turf samples as "plates" on the turf when they play "restaurant." :))
