Back when games were in person, you could find an NYC Trivia League game on any day of the week in multiple areas--the hosts are friendly and fun and the questions are challenging and diverse (from Shakespeare to Real Housewives)! They even have league standings and playoffs! How cool!!! What has been even more amazing is their tenacity through these really challenging COVID times. NYC Trivia League has kept me sane with quizzes 3-4 times per week that are absolutely FREE! What a wonderful organization for giving us something to do and a way to virtually gather our friends together. I recently hired them for a private virtual birthday trivia event and it was an AMAZING time! Friends joined from all over the country and were so impressed at how well run the game was and how incredibly fun! The staff was rude to us all day but we were nothing but polite regardless, because we understood they were busy and who treats service staff poorly for no major reason? Eventually the place started to get packed with walk-ins and it became a game of musical chairs with every table competing for chairs. The nerve of the manager to come and eventually kick us out! If there's a tab minimum or a maximum amount of time, tell us in advance. Don't be rude to us all day and then tell us right before the game starts that we have to leave. Our group of all non-white customers politely left this very white establishment, as more white customers immediately took our chairs as we left.
