Super cool place. It has. The feel of a laid back neighborhood pub, but it was packed the Sunday we visited. And no surprise why. They have 28 draft beers available, and the food is amazing. I highly recommend the spicy chicken nachos. One of the best nachos plates I have ever had. If you try at least 51 different beers (the options are ever-changing, and they offer bottles/cans on top of the drafts), you can join The Connoisseur Club and get your name up on their wall of fame. Met a friend here in the afternoon for food and drinks and walked away liking the spot. It's got that European pub feel, dark wood, cozy corners, the kind of place built for lingering over a beer. And the beer selection backs it up. Genuinely good variety if that's what you're after. We split a cheesesteak, which was solid, though I'll admit I'm probably a little ruined at this point by bodega chopped cheese and real Philly cheesesteaks, so my bar is unfairly high. Didn't stay too long since we had somewhere to be, but it was busy when we came through, always a good sign. Overall: This is my favorite tap room in the city! There's always room, staff and patrons are always friendly, and the beer is always good. Worth stopping by if you're in the West Village! This place is a historical gem! I have been going here for over 20 years and every time I go in, no matter what the crowd is or who the new bartenders are, I feel like I never left! The crowd is pretty young, but as a mid-40s, I don't feel out of place. The bartenders are knowledgable and always helpful in making decisions. Why they didn't get 5-stars: This is actually a 4.5-star place and only gets dinged 1/2 star is that is can be hard to get a table or a spot to be. I always love Blind Tiger ! Being British, it reminds me of an old Brit pub! Old fashioned, quaint with low beams and a fireplace ! On this March day it was rather warm for New York so all the windows were open - we sat by one of them with a lovely view of Bleecker! Enjoyed some exceptional IPAs as they always have some amazing beers! We had the mixed buts, kale salad, grilled cheese and truffled veggies - all of which were absolutely delicious! The truffled veggies in particular were an unexpected suprise! The service was fantastic and friendly to the point we felt like we were regulars which is how a good pub should feel! Came here to watch the end of a sports game and they had a good amount of TVs to watch. They have a wide selection of craft beers for a good price. We had the nachos here, which were kind of small, but had great flavor and amazing chips. We also had a pretzel, which was EXTREMELY small. Perhaps that is the theme of the food at this bar. Blind Tiger is a classic beer bar to visit in the village. We stopped by in the afternoon on a winter Saturday. It was a quiet day in the city because of the weather, but Blind Tiger was a great place to spend the afternoon. Blind Tiger is one of the only spots in the city I've visited with a lit fireplace and it made the ambiance so cozy. Came here this past Sunday 10/5! Haven't been here for a long time! Beer selection is still phenomenal as it always was and still the best in NYC! However the 2 bartenders that day were total jerks who need to learn how to talk and treat patrons correctly! I thought maybe because I was much older than their usual patrons, that was the reason they were so rude! In any event I was a patron at the Blind Tiger when these guy's mothers were wiping milk off their noses and they should learn to be more courteous when dealing with older people! There's something infuriating about being denied service for being inebriated... when I haven't even had ONE beer. Did I just cone across awkward because I was waiting for the door guy to either say "ID please" or "You're good". Sometimes I come across as an awkward person, so stupid people will confuse me for being on something. When I told this door guy or bouncer as he was referred to, that I wasn't drunk, he tried telling me how he had been doing this for x amount of years, and he was certain I was drunk. Welp, it look likes he got it wrong, and I'm not letting this go. I may have come across as a littl tired from traveling... but I wasn't sleepy at all. I was told I could go to any other bar, but here's a things... i got stuck having to order Sam Adams at MaxDougal Street Alehouse... and i'm a craft beer drinker, so that would be why I go to Blind Tiger. I've wanted to check out this place for a while and had the chance to have a beer outside with my boyfriend tonight. It fell a little short of expectations. I was a little disappointed that their beer list didn't match what they had on their website, mostly because there were a couple I was excited to try that they didn't have when we went. However, it was still a unique beer list in a part of the city with notably few beer bars. Beers are around $8.50-$10. We showed up without a reservation (not sure if they do them) and were seated maybe 20-30 minutes after we arrived. They could have done a better job of having a system - they pretty much just told us to walk around until a table opened. It would have been nice to put our name on a wait list or something rather than just being a crap shoot. Outdoor seating is minimal, but the tables they have are nice. Service was fine, but we definitely felt a little rushed at the end (which was a solid 30 minutes before closing). As is the rule now, we had to order food with our drinks, and asked for the chips and guac. They said they were out of guac and asked if pico was fine instead. I assumed the pico would be cheaper than the guac ($6) but we were still charged the normal price. Kinda crazy for what was MAYBE 10 chips with a tiny little bit of salsa, but whatever. Glad I tried it once, likely won't return. read more

Pretty decent option for an ale house near Bleeker street. We were lucky to get a table when we did and it was nice they have hooks by the tables to hand coats and bags. I scanned the QR code for their menu and was really intrigued by the Brose rose cider crafted by 3 bros. The menu on the wall had different options than the online menu so I was a bit confused if they had things from both. When I ordered the "brose" the bartender said "one rose?" so I clarified "brose" but I guess he still didn't hear that because he got me a rose. Luckily another bartender was able to help me and get that resolved quickly. You'll be hard pressed to find that combination in this part of the city - most places are too fancy or too fratty to replicate what Blind Tiger offers in west village. There's a great beer list, with plenty of options from near and far. I've always been impressed with the offerings, it's never been hard to find at least one beer that'll keep me happy. Plus the menu is simple bar fare, done well. I like the grilled cheese, as a filling option that goes well with the drinks. But really the whole menu is solid. After a freezing-ass cold day exploring the city, Blind Tiger came to me as a recommendation from a friend and I am pumped on what I have found here. Place is pretty small, I think that is great. 15 seats or so at the bar, 8 tables or so. Plenty of space but intimate. Pretty good looking small menu, mix of things: wings, sandwiches, Mexican, grain bowls. Eclectic. I didn't eat but it looked pretty decent. COVID: they check ID and vaccine per the local regs.
