    Trivia Shower
    Lisa S.

I just worked with NYC Trivia for my daughter's bridal shower! Meredith was fabulous. I didn't want to put on a boring shower with women sitting around watching my daughter open up gifts so I brought in NYC Trivia to help. Meredith planned trivia games and I gave her input when needed for some extra questions related to my daughter. NYC Trivia was amazing! We had 50 women and four rounds of trivia and she worked in The Newlywed Game at the end, bringing in my daughter's fiancé in to answer questions. It was a blast! Everyone said it was the best shower ever!!! Meredith was innovative with questions and accessible the entire month leading into the shower! She was as excited as we were. If you need to throw a party and you don't want to worry about entertainment, this is hour answer.

Most fun we've had in awhile! Questions are challenging and hosts are enthusiastic. Looking forward to trying them out IRL soon!

I have been going to NYC trivia league events for four years now. They are consistently a blast. Beer and trivia. What else do you need?

What an AMAZING experience it was to do the Great Big Game Show in NYC!! First off, we did the…read moreEscape Games at the same venue, and saw a peek of the game show area. We asked about it, and they said they could actually do a quick demo for us-which was so nice! We played one game (the waiting one) and had so much fun! The next day, we decided to do the experience, and were paired off with another team of six people. The host was different this time, but both were so high energy and positive-we loved their vibes! Anyways, we played several games, from drawing blindfolded to a reverse family feud style game, etc...it was soo much fun! Btw, the host was recording while hosting (great job multitasking!) and ended up sending us a cute reel of the game highlights-loved it!! We will definitely be back, and will be checking out their other locations!!

We split up into 2 teams of our choice and our game show was hosted by the lovely Danny. She was very entertaining and kept the energy up throughout our time! She gave us the opportunity to pick between trivia, chance, or physical games as well, which we liked having the options. The chance games made everything more "fair", but trivia def kept the vibes fun and competitive! We were ~10 min late, so we weren't able to play all the games available, but had a BLAST regardless! This spot was located conveniently by Times Sq. If it weren't for its bright lights, I would've missed it since it was under scaffolding! If you're a smaller party, you'll likely share the room with other small parties. There are multiple rooms, so multiple Game Shows are occurring at once! There's a 10 min grace period for the reservation, otherwise it'll start without you and/or you'll have less time to play their games. Don't forget to fill out their quick waiver before/upon arrival. Staff is super friendly! Would highly rec this experience for any occasion and to have a fun time!!

I heard good things about zogsports but was pretty disappointed with my Sunday kickball league in…read moreCentral Park. The first part i was disappointed was the lack of communication. We were supposed to start the game on Sunday and we didn't receive a confirmation email about our roster and start times until Thursday night around 8 pm. In addition , the league did a terrible job of balancing the rosters. There were 3 teams in our coed league and one other team consisted of free agents. We had 4 girls on our team and the other team had 8 girls on theirs. Usually this is fine but league rules has it that you need at least 3 girls to play on defense and a girl has to kick once every 4 turns. Also one of our games the ref was late over an hour. Finally , they schedule double headers so the games run late. We had to call two of our games since they were running late. One we couldn't see anything in the pitch dark so we called it for a safety issue. The other game we had to end our playoff game early. We had a chance to kick since we were bottom of the inning but zogsports referee said since the Game was running late whoever scores first wins the game. Felt like we got cheated. It doesn't help that they take 30 minutes plus to explain the rules each game. They also have happy hour deals after the game but the bars are so far away it's not feasible.

This is from a while ago but 5 out of 7 cornhole games were cancelled by Zog and Zog refused to…read morerefund us for this. In our correspondence with Zog, they blamed the bar that hosted the games for not communicating with them properly (cancellations were often due to the space being used by the bar for another purpose) and said that that was why we would not be refunded, as it was the fault of the bar and not Zog, calling the bar "unreliable". However, it shouldn't matter as we paid Zog for a service that we did not receive and if they have an internal issue between them and the bar, we shouldn't be the ones financially penalized. The lack of logic here is the crux of the issue. Additionally, for each cancellation we were either told at the very last minute about the cancellation, and one time we were never told at all and found out when we showed up. The games being around 9pm made this highly inconvenient. There was even a time that the ref compromised with the bar who needed the space by allowing one cornhole set out (usually there's 2) so that only half the teams could play; my team was not one of those able to play. Two of the games were cancelled due to an unavailable referee, which makes you think it's important to have one. Turns out, it's not. He wasn't even in the same room while we played (all our 2 games). I don't blame him - it would be impossible for him to keep score because there are simultaneous games. But besides coming into the room once or twice to ask how we're doing, the ref is not involved. This is fine, but then again, why are we paying the price that we are? From our 2 very expensive games, we noticed that because of the amount of people per team (6), there isn't that much game time for each person. All of these things make it hard to justify the price tag for this.
