We used to love this restaurant. It was a great neighborhood place with inexpensive and delicious food. The menu has changed and so have the prices. The amazing nachos are now awful ( a few chips on a plate dabbed with tiny toppings), the pizzas are salty, over sauced sloppy messes and the salads are fancy, hardly there rabbit food. All of this is now overpriced. We are so disappointed to have to take the trophy room off our our rotation. We will sadly not be going back. read more

I hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else. I had made a reservation for my birthday dinner about two weeks in advance. Since it was a reservation for 10 I had problems finding a restaurant that still had table available. When I called the Trophy Room they seemed to not have any problem with fitting us in, which was a pleasant surprise. Sadly the surprises after that were everything but pleasant. I arrived with more than half of my party for the reservation at 8:30. The hostess greeted us and told us that the table was still being cleared but we would be seated shortly. After standing around for about 30min, not having been informed of the progress I asked the hostess again. She said that she was sorry but the people at the table seemed "not to care that she needed the table for us" she seemed unwilling to ask the previous guests to leave. After another 15min she finally told us that our table was ready. She led us to the table which turned out to be a booth, which could seat max. 6 people. I pointed this out to her and she explained that she would bet getting extra chairs and there was a table for two behind the booth where two more people from my party could sit. Now I am no expert but from previous experiences I have learned that it is the hostess' job to make sure that when a reservation is made 1. The people can be seated in time, even if this means reserving that table in advance to get it ready. 2. When a reservation is made to make sure that the table will actually fit that number of people. I explained to her that I usually do not invite people to my birthday that I don't like and hence would not be ok with them sitting at a separate table. She seemed to feel uncomfortable but didn't do anything beyond that. So we all squeezed into the booth and ordered drinks and a bottle of rose. Sadly this order got mixed up and the excuse was that "we currently have three parties of ten so everyone is stressing". We ordered another bottle of rose throughout dinner at the bar, where the bar tender informed us that the rose that we had ordered previously was out. We opted for the more expensive kind only to go back to the table and notice that our waiter had given us the more expensive bottle the first time around, without telling anyone. I went to the hostess to ask to speak to a manager and first had to explain the reason to her why I wanted to speak to one, very unprofessional. When the manager came out she listened to my story, and seemed not to care at all. She said nothing until I had finished and the said sorry one time and offered to mail a gift card. Nothing was comped on the bill; no one really cared about what had happened to us, or felt sorry for it. I received a gift card in the mail for $25 (barely worth 2 drinks) for a place that I will never go to again. All in all it was the most unsatisfying restaurant experience I have ever had; even one of these things would have been upsetting, let alone all of them. I just recently visited Boston and was told to check out the trophy room, to my surprise it was a very welcoming and comfortable environment. The ambience of the establishment was very relaxed, the service was fantastic, they made me feel at home and tended to each of my needs. The food was an entirely different story, everything I tried was easily beyond satisfaction, especially the burgers, with out a doubt the best burger I had while I was in Boston. Not only was the service and food exceptional, each drink was made perfectly and they had an excellent choice of beers. I'll definitely be going back next time I'm in town and I'll be telling all my friends. read more

Don't waste your time. Went on a Monday night. There were about fifteen people there with five of them being staff. Walked in, was not greeted sat down at a hightop. Four songs played and we were not acknowledged. Four songs played while we sat there. Finally we left, and as we walked out the door the bartender finally acknowledged us by saying goodbye. No women allowed!! At least that's how we were treated last night. We have frequented this establishment on a few occasions with no issues. Last night was a different story. My friends and I came here last night for a drink and were immediately turned away at the door by the bouncer saying, " you can't come in our staff saw you stumbling." We were taken aback asking how is that possible and thought he was joking. He said no and slammed the door in our face. We stood there for a moment in shock, no one was stumbling and for "their staff" no one even had a clear view of us walking. This appeared to me to be a clear cut case of discrimination. While walking away we noticed not one female was present and some men were making pretty nasty faces through the window Let's be clear, there were three of us, two females one male; we were not a Bachelorette party, we were not drunk, we simply wanted to have a drink. The food was absolutely horrible these people can't cook. I asked for spaghetti and they gave me something that looked like stringy lettuce. These people are not capable of making spaghetti, frys or nachos and God only knows what else. The staff is friendly I must say, but needs to wear more loose fitting clothes. I like this place. No problem with it. I've been here many times for drinks. I've never even written a Yelp review before. But I am compelled by simple human decency to report that the nachos I had here earlier today constituted an egregious affront to our shared humanity. Sixteen tortilla chips with a few scant traces of cheese, some sad dollops of guacamole paste fresh from a plastic tube, and an inscrutable orange paste the color and consistency of Velveeta cheese. Nachos are cheap to make. With nachos, mediocre quality can easily be made up for with generous portion size. The idea that anyone working in any capacity in the hospitality industry could serve these to a customer without experiencing a daily, severe crisis of conscience speaks to a sociopathic hatred of one's fellow man that, frankly, terrifies the living crap out of me. read more

Been here twice for Saturday afternoon drinks and both experiences didn't disappoint! The atmosphere and the vibe of the whole place is very relaxed and casual while maintaining an upscale hip feel. We sat at the bar both times. Bartenders were very attentive and engaged in just the right amount of conversation. The noise level and music were both perfect. Neither time was it overly crowded when we were there but as we were leaving just after 6 it was definitely starting to fill up. Staying at the Chandler Inn and decided to go downstairs to The Trophy Room for dinner. Superb decision. Had the mussels-to die for!!! My husband and I each had a different burger and we were delighted with our choices! Bellied up to the bar after for a couple of after dinner drinks and were treated courteously and immediately. Good food, good drinks, good service. We grew up in MA, and moved to charleston, SC, but have been back up visiting family. We both said we'd stay at Chandler again and the Trophy Room will be tops on our list for yummy food and drinks!! (Next time we promise to try the s'mores pie!!) Thanks all!! read more

Had I not had such a glowingly outstanding experience, I would have skipped over this process. The food was undoubdyly outstanding [ The 8ox filet especially ]. Furthermore, the buffalo cauliflower wings are an absolute favorite by vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike; kept from the old menu. But the new menu has some outstanding items the chef introduces; the lamb chops that melt Off the bone or the mouth watering pretzel sticks with a delicious Honey Mustard Dijon dipping sauce mmmhhh. And not mention the perfectly seasoned Italian Meata Ballss. If you're looking for a quick drink and delicious meal, the Trophy Room is the exact spot you should find yourself in. This place is just right. Amazing drinks, stellar apps, and perfect dinners. I met an old friend at the bar after work. As soon as I came through the door I felt taken care of. The restaurant is attached to the Chandler Inn, another good find for anyone looking for value and modern comfort. I arrived a bit early and sat at the bar, with my phone of course! One of the barmen made me a great tequila martini, with fresh lime. For those of us who like sports on TV, there are large screens with the game of the moment, but the music is what you will be hearing. They have a DJ on staff who mixes the best of the best, background lounge hip beats, you may not even notice, that's how good it is. My friend arrived and we split the empanada (2), as flaky and tasty as any I have had in PR. For dinner we each had the fillet, and we split a salad. The fillet was cooked perfectly and the sides were large. The salad was too big for us to finish. Sitting and eating, content, everyone around us so happy with their experience, the place was alive. It's a good thing I don't live too close, I'd be there all the time. It's a great place to bring friends, or have a romantic dinner. FUN! read more

The Chandler Sidewalk was amazing with gooey cheese, ham, & bacon with delicous potatoes. The bellinis were refreshing. The service kept us comfortable and completely relaxed. My girlfriend and I stayed at the Chandler Hotel, attached to this bar. We popped in twice during our week long stay, once for dinner and drinks, once for breakfast. Both times we were thrilled with the service and food. Their fish tacos were superb. They were served to us deconstructed, so when putting the tacos together you could really tell that the cod was fresh and perfectly cooked, as well as the corn salsa and other trimmings. The following day we came for breakfast. My girlfriend had the Eggs Benedict with crab meat, and I had the lobster omelette. Both were fantastic. As a craft beer fan, their sudsy offerings were a handful of nicely curated selections. I strongly suggest anyone in the area to come in and be impressed by their menu. read more

The rumors are true; this place is truly THE gem in the South End. If you've never been and have been thinking about it, do yourself a favor and GO ALREADY!! James was my server, I would highly recommend requesting him to take care of you and your friends. His witty charm and humor made my friends and I feel right at home, instantly. And don't get me started on the food, ok fine I'll spill the deets.. I ordered the vegan spaghetti, now I'm no vegan but let me tell you, it was DIVINE. My partner ordered the steak frites which was cooked to a perfect medium rare. James recommended Ghost Pines Cab to be paired. It may have been some type of witch craft but they went together like peanut butter and jelly, folks!! The only way that the night could have been any better was adding a little live music, which happened to round out the whole evening at 8:00! This place couldn't have struck a worse cord with me. I can't believe it's been named a top ten bar in Boston. Came here with my wife, brother and sister in law, and my other sister in law. Ordered drinks, they came super late. Ordered food, it never came, we literally sat for an hour and a half there for nothing. During that time this guy acted as a worker only to flirt with me and my brother in law --that bothered me half as much as the fact that he started to share pics of his lovers with us, telling us their life stories, "this guy is married with three kids, and I sleep with him" was one of his conversation points; I don't think there could have been a trashier lowlife bothering us and the management didn't even bother. I paid the bill for the drinks, even tipped the waiter because, who knows, maybe, even probably, it's not his fault, and bugged the f out of there. GLAM BRUNCH BINGO gives just the right dose of weekend laughter and conversation to slap you back to reality and have you enjoying one of their signature cocktails (seasonal frozen rosé) alongside some good old fashion bingo and a newly-designed menu. Aside from GLAM BRUNCH BINGO, I also attended the Friday night showing of RU PAUL'S DRAG RACE and you'll get the same kind of hospitality with the Queens providing some hilarious commentary. This certainly is the place that I'd frequent for good music (DJ IAN DIVER), fashionable Queens and great service (AMY and CHRISTOPHER). Not sure how this place has so many stars. My experience was terrible. Started off when my husband and I each ordered a beer and both beers were out of stock. We should have left at that point. But we stayed. For an appetizer I ordered the white bean chili which had no white beans that I could tell and was basically a bowl of white broth and pearl onions. But not wanting to offend, I sent it back stating I wasn't a fan of onions and rather than apologize and take the chili off my bill (which they did not do), I was reprimanded for ordering a vegetarian "white bean" chili and not liking onions. The chef salad I ordered was good (although I had to ask for dressing), but my husband's stuffed chicken roulade, was simply a dry, unseasoned piece of chicken breast sitting on top of undercooked brussell sprouts (the restaurant was out of the hash that was supposed to come with the meal). The only positive is that the room is nice and bright with lots of windows and good ambiance. read more

We were out of state visitors staying at the inn upstairs and went down for a drink, not really expecting much. This was easily the best bar experience I've ever had. I have never, ever felt so safe being a female in a bar, as I did in this bar. It was a completely foreign experience from what I am used to, and a little overwhelming. Everyone was so incredibly friendly, and they really go out of their way to make sure everyone is 100% comfortable. There were so many happy couples and people just starting friendly conversations with strangers...it's the kind of place that made me want to start looking at local real estate. I'm sure that sounds over the top but everything was absolutely perfect. Phenomenal drink menu, great food, all the bartenders were wonderful and attentive, the atmosphere is just incredible. It is really a special place. If I had a single criticism it does get extremely loud as the night goes on, especially for a small space, but it really didn't bother me all that much because it's impossible to not have an amazing night here. The hangover was pretty intense as well, but totally worth it. I will never have another trip to Boston without stopping back for at least one drink (although I probably won't stop at just one). read more
