This car wash is awesome. Normally I don't get excited about a car wash, but Tropic is the best. Washes are 5-10 bucks and every wash gets the use of their free vacuums. As you drive in there are six bays for scrubbing excess dirt, bugs and grime prior to entering the main wash. After you pay at their automated machine the gate opens and you pull up for your wash. Put your car in neutral, hands off the wheel and foot of the brake as your car is pulled through the high tech wash. After the wash is done you can pull in to one of their vacuum bays. There are trash cans and vacuums on both sides so it is easy and there is no dragging hoses across your car. The vacuums are high suction and really get your carpet clean. I really like this wash. It is far superior to gas station or pressure wash type places. Your car ends up with that hand washed look without all of the work. I highly recommend Tropic. All I really knew about this place was that John LOVES it. So since my car needed a bath AND I had errands to run on the Westbank, I figured I'd check it out. It was definitely not what I expected. I liked that you use a touchscreen to select your carwash and can then just pay with a card or cash at the machine. Then you sit in your car while it runs through the wash, an attendant is on hand to make sure you're in the right position. Then you can pull around and use the free vacuums and mat cleaner yourself. Yep you do the labor. No gathering up your valuables out of the car in case of sticky fingers. No complaining that "someone" missed a spot because that someone is you. I even bought a sponge from the vending machine (for $1) to wipe down the doors and dash. And while the place was busy, I still felt like it was money and time well spent. Minus 1 star because I think I was too close to the car in front so my bumper wasn't grime free. read more

Hello can anyone help me I recently have moved out of the state and I tried calling the car wash during the working hours and it went straight to some message saying it cannot take the call. I'm still being charged the 39.99 and I only thought It would charge me if I went not if I stoped going. Can anyone help or can some give me a number so I can stop getting charged on my car?!?!? Leaves water all over car and spots all over windshield. Save your money. I paid $15. My 9 year old can do much better.

I haven't been to a car wash establishment in years. Perhaps it's due to laziness and it rains so much here, I keep telling myself, 'the rain will wash the dirt away.' So that excuse didn't hold up any longer, as I needed to wash my car badly. This was my first time seeing a manual scrub first, which makes sense as the machine just slaps your car. They have multiple stations with scrubs, to fully scrub away dirt and grime, and then we paid $12 to run through a regular car wash. The next station also includes vaccine, to clean the interior. I also did it to show my baby all the colors and wipes. Then 3 weeks later, my mechanic told me to stop going through the automated car washes, as it could damage my car... but this place is very well designed. read more

I purchased the $10 car wash and the entire rear of my car was still covered in soap after it was finished. Maybe it's because I have a Prius which has an oddly shaped hatchback, but I haven't had this problem at other car washes. I think the spoiler blocked the water jets from rinsing they way they should. The vacuums are strong, but they only provide the crevice attachment which makes vacuuming your floor mats and big spaces a big pain in the ass. Also, the vacuum is not long enough to gain access to your trunk or hatchback. You'll need to back out of the spot you're in and back into the spot to get the trunk. This was a frustrating waste of time and I won't be going back. I work on the westbank, and I'll just go back to Washwego next time I'm in that area- they have attendants that give you complimentary rags for wiping down, and there's another attendant that sprays your car with rain-x before you drive it in. This car wash was awesome. I paid $10 and my car came out nice. It is a do it yourself car wash so you will have to scrub our car with a brush and soapy water before you go into the car wash and then vacuum your car at the end. It a great place I will definitely be going back. read more

Been using this car wash for years I can't really complain at all. Not as good as hand washing of course, but as far as machine washes go this has been one of my better experiences. For the most part my white 2002 Chevy Avalanche comes out very clean except for a few very small areas which I hit with a towel while drying. These areas are inside my door handles and the very edge of my windows. Like I said not complaining because even when I hand wash I forget about these areas. The service people do a very good job keeping the machines filled with new soap. The pre-wash station is a really good idea which comes in very handy, and I can't complain at all about the FREE vacuum stations which are covered to keep the sun from baking in any left over soap (if any). I've never had an issue with my services here and been coming here since 2005 at least once a month. read more

$15 and you get the privilege of scrubbing your car down before going through the wash and then cleaning off everything it missed including the soap afterwards. First time, I thought it was a fluke. Second? Maybe I was doing something wrong. Third? Yea, I'm a sucker. read more

Nice set up however, re-think utilizing establishment if you take pride in your vehicles exterior. Machines very faulty and need calibration: leaves swirls in paint job and multiple superficial and deep scratches. One star rating for tire shine! read more

The place has large water buckets with brushes that you can use to scrub the car before putting it through an automatic car wash. There are 5 different options for the car wash - from $5 to $15. And there are free vacuum stations for the inside. One star off because the car comes out still wet from the car wash. read more

today i visited this establishment & was faced with the absolute worse customer experience by this man! i do not know if he's the owner or a worker, but i think you should know how he treats paying customers! my car had spots on it when i came out of the wash. they were very noticeable so i called him over. he totally dismissed me saying it was in my paint job, but the spots covered my windshield as well! i asked to be ran back through & he agreed but not until after he abruptly told me what "wasn't" going to happen if the spots didn't clear away. after the 2nd wash the spots cleared away, but not 100% & when i went to tell him, instead of him apologizing he revealed his ignorance and lost tropical wash a customer! i hope he is the owner because i would hate for someone's business to suffer as a result of someone they have on payroll! read more
