If I could give a zero I would. I called to get some information about if my car needed work done from a service recall. First two people I talked to, didn't say much outside of where can I direct your call. Explained what was going on, transferred me forward. Finally reaching a Service Advisor after the second person couldn't explain what the service was. I literally spent five minutes trying to first bring up my VIN which the second person was able to by my name and phone number. Then, another ten trying to understand what was going to happen to my car. He kept saying the same thing over and over "reflashing the ECU." Which not being a car person, I don't have a clue what that means. Becoming very frustrated, I asked if he was the one who did the work and if not could I speak with the tech who might? He said no, they won't tell you anything. Acting very defensive as if I'm asking for company secrets. He asked when I would like to come in, I replied you have not answered my question. When I finally asked him, could you give me an another verb to what is occurring. He finally said, "re-programming." I purchased my Ford Focus at this dealership so whenI had an accident last night and drove to the dealership. First I went Tropical Ford's Body Shop who advised me it was more mechanical. I went back to service and spoke to the Service Advisor, Donnie. When I explained what happened, he turns to me, looks me square in the eye and told me that either I or my partner had left a bad review on him and the dealership. (we brought the car there for a recall on the door locks and the car went in fine and when we came back the back door rattled) Therefore he would not help me. He had brought up the "other guy" several times. He knew that was my partner as he dealt with the recall while I was in the hospital. My partner was not with me so out of all his customers he remembered the "other guy" who was not even with me today. So whether is was the poor rating I gave him or homophobia I had to leave because I was refused service. Driving home, there was a loud noise and then my front tire no longer turned. The car was no longer driveable and had to be towed. Avoid this dealer at all cost. Whether personal or professional there is discrimination. Someone should learn from their poor evaluations not use them against a customer in their next interaction. I received lifetime oil changes with my car, now I am not going back to get something :"FREE" because I can not trust the service department and I will leave it at that. Then after we picked our vehicle we told our salesman we were preapproved- just get everything together. I have been to many of the Ford dealerships in this area over the years and have gotten some really bad service and even charged for service that was never done. But, so far at Tropical Ford the experience has been pretty good. I brought in my Taurus and the service department was always very friendly. I had a Bronco Sport on order through two other dealerships and was not treated very well, so I switched to Tropical Ford. I just received the Bronco Sport about five days ago and I have to say again the experience was all good and pleasant. Steve Lucius helped me through the whole process and couldn't have been any friendlier. I was pleasantly surprised with the price of the vehicle especially after hearing about other dealers marking up the price. Got a brand new tire here in Jan and got a flat so I took it back here in April with my original receipt. I was the first person here at 7:20 am and it is now 8:20 am and I'm still waiting in the lounge to get this replaced. The guy at the counter said it was going to be 20 bucks. I told the guy at the counter that if they just fix it I will save the 20 bucks and just put it on myself. Shouldn't take more than 10 min to swap a tire out. That's how long it took me to put my spare on! I've spent more than 3k at this place in the last 3 months. It's a rip off and the technicians are very slow. I never leave reviews except for good ones but I need to share my experience in hopes that they change their process. I have a very busy job and my husband made a car appointment for me online at 10:30 for check engine light. I drove all the way to the appointment only to be ignored by the customer service representatives and then when I Told him I was here for my 1030 appointment, they quite rudely informed me that they do not provide service to cars that are older than 10 years and are not previously seen at this dealership. When I came in to buy a car, I had requested someone who wasn't super pushy and would be honest with me about pricing, and he was awesome throughout the entire process. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a car from this dealership. Additionally, the folks at the repair department are friendly and good at getting things repaired in a timely manner. When I called back the receptionist was extremely rude and acted like my call was an issue when all I was asking for was to be transferred to service. I have been a customer of this Ford dealership for about three years, but my recent experience was absolutely unacceptable. I dropped off my vehicle for a scheduled service appointment as my A/C wasn't operating correctly. Specifically, it wasn't cooling and there was a loud clicking noise when Max Air was selected. These issues were noted on a form by the service rep who was assisting me when I dropped off my vehicle. I received a phone call the following day of my scheduled appointment to let me know my vehicle was ready for pick-up. I sat in an hour of Orlando traffic to get to Tropical Ford and then paid the required co-pay in order for my vehicle to be brought to me. I paid this money with the understanding that my vehicle was completely fixed (obviously). Unfortunately this was not the case as the loud clicking noise had not been fixed. The service rep who I had been working with took no responsibility for this issue and his only suggestion was for me to bring my vehicle back another day as he had no one onsite to work on my vehicle, but he assured me the clicking noise would be a "quick fix." I had no choice but to leave with my vehicle and sit in yet another hour of Orlando traffic to get home. A few days later, when my scheduled allowed and when Tropical Ford was open again after July 4, I brought my vehicle back in to have the work I paid for several days prior to be completed. Again I received no apology and was sent to wait in the customer lounge- for an hour and a half. After that time the same service rep approached me and advised that the work required for my vehicle was actually highly labor intensive and it would probably take a few hours to fix my vehicle. I was offered a rental vehicle for the afternoon, which I declined, and instead decided to visit the Florida Mall down the street to continue waiting offsite. After about an hour I received a phone call advising that my vehicle was ready. I requested a refund for the co-pay that I had paid several days earlier as the services I paid for were not rendered nor did I receive an apology. Tropical Ford is denying me these funds and refuses to take any responsibility for their error. They have even gone as far as to block me on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. read more

This review is an attempt to counter some of them. I've been using them for service for about 5 years now. I started going to them because they are close enough to my office to make it convenient, and they offer a 15% Disney Cast discount on service. All of that aside, I've been completely satisfied with all of the work they've done. They've performed most of our scheduled maintenance and repairs on my and wife's cars over that time. I'll be taking the Flex in tomorrow to check out the wheel balance. If it's been like all my other experiences, I'll drop it off around 8:00 AM, they will shuttle me to work, and some time after lunch I'll receive a phone call that they are all done, and then they'll come pick me up around 3:00 or so. I almost never wait there, because my office is reasonably close. However, I have done it when necessary. If they say it'll be less than an hour, you'll find me sitting on one of the bar stools typing away on my MacBook. read more

When you come back they give you attitude for being mad at them. Don't complain in their social media either because they will block you. A friend of mine purchased a car from Jesus Valentin some 10 years ago and they described him as the epitome of a customer service expert. They described this sharp witted man as very friendly, courtesy, and honest. He made them feel welcome, he listened to their concerns, and tried to find them exactly what they were looking for. Jesus even found the exact car my friend wanted at another dealership knowing full well that he'd lose his 'sale'. Jesus didn't lose this sale though. Since then, more friends, myself, and even my family have turned to Jesus' expert attitude. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH MISGUIDED INFORMATION I own a Ford CMAX Energy (Hybrid) and needed a new 12V battery installed. Upon arriving I was told that my basic battery could not be serviced there and that I needed to drive out to the Hybrid dealer at GreenWay. I drove out there to be informed that I would need to pay a $135 Diagnostic fee, the cost of the battery replacement and $250 Labor fee to install. Additionally I would need to pay for a rental car for the day while it was serviced. I am not a mechanic, rather an accountant so when things didn't add up, I drove home, watched a you tube on how to access the battery. Drove to Lowes bought a $12 tool kit and within 25 minutes had access to the battery. I drove to Autozone where they happily sold me the battery and installed it for the cost of the battery $129. This is very disappointing and shows the lack of knowledge on a basic level in the service departments. Even after speaking with the service managers at both deanships, I was still inclined to do it myself. I can only praise the employees (Super Mechanics) at Autozone! FYI - I am a middle aged woman with no mechanical experience. If I was able to replace my battery via YouTube, I can't imagine the level of skill that is required to work at FORD. read more

I go in for a quick lane service and I mark a tire with chalk so I know they get rotated and sure enough the same tire was in the same place I left it. I reported it to them and nothing but a sir we wouldn't not do the correct work on the truck. Then 2 days later I noticed the heat shield under the truck was falling apart. I have called numerous times and this morning talking with the service manager it was useless. He was cursing and then wanted to be rude with me. I recently took my 2016 Mustang to the collision center at Tropical Ford. The customer service was great but the workmanship was terrible. The paint is spotty, my car was scratched in multiple places and overall not happy. The manager tried to tell me that the spottiness was there before but I know for sure it was not. They are mad about previous honest and negative feedback we gave on surveys from Ford about our experiences at Tropical. The manager told me they earn money based on those surveys and they have lost money because of us.
