Worst Tropical Grille location that exists. I have never been treated with professionalism or kindness. The employees are rude, abrupt and totally lack any sort of customer service skills. I used to go every day but stopped due to this but today I decided to give it another try after taking a few months break.. but nope. They are as terrible as ever so today will be my final time. In addition to the horrible service, they give me mustard curry cups that look like they were already used up. There's like a thin layer that almost covers the bottom of the cup but not quite. They were doing this for awhile back when I was coming every day so I ordered 3 extra in anticipation of this and sure enough all 5 cups were almost empty. As someone who has worked in fast food I would never eat here again. My husband and I both got bowls from here and it had hair in it. We came in for it to be remade and no one that was making bowls or cooking the food had hair or beard nets on. The dining area was disgusting as well. The food is very good, and the meats have a lot of flavor even without the sauces. I have eaten here numerous times, generally inside, and that service is quick and pleasant. The drive-through is slower. I love the bowls, and both the chicken and pulled pork are delicious. If you order the large, it is enough for two meals. Also I like to get a side of plantains, always good. The interior is clean, and so are the restrooms. Drinks are self-serve, so easily refillable. read more

By far the worst tropical grille I've been to. I always think if I wait a while to go back, they'll improve but each time I'm disappointed. There is little to no seasoning on the rice and chicken. Pros: good fresh food made to order. Great portion sizes (especially the rice bowls) for the price. Great atmosphere for quick family dining Cons: the evening we went to this location, the service wasn't the greatest. Placed order for vegetarian bowl with no dairy product (no cheese/sour cream since I have an allergy) and added shrimp. Took a while to prepare since made fresh (no problem there) but bowl and shrimp was covered in sour cream and pieces of cheese. Returned it for them to redo do but all they did was scrape the cheese and sour cream off top of the shrimp (which was poorly done bc your could still see the sc and cheese on the shrimp) and put in new rice bowl. This time veggies were missing as well. After the server noticed the looked of shock on our faces, she said "give that back to me!", not to re-do it but to add the missing veggies! I had to explain to her, I'm ALLERGIC to dairy and this needs to be done completely over. After she explained it may take a while bc they had to re-cook some new shrimp, I assured her it was okay and Im willing to wait for it to be done properly. Maybe some additional training of the staff to remind them NOT re-take food they have already served (proper way is to dispose of the food once returned) and remake fresh. Also, change out gloves if they are going between preparing food items and taking care of non-prep duties (cleaning, getting supplies, etc). read more

I love Tropical Grille but this location is Lack Luster. I swung by on my way home to Greer to pick up some dinner for the family. The service wasn't great, young kids serve with an attitude as if its a privelge to order food from here. The only saving Grace was Kerri who I believe is the manager was very helpful and corteous to correct a mistake on the order. But something as simple as asking for sauce I was practically reprimanded and told next time by a young kid to detail that at the time of order. In my experience at other locations they ask at the end what sauces you want. Then when I get home I start eating and the rice is hard, the portion of pork in the cuban roast pork bowl was extremely small and i bit into a piece of plastic mixed into the beans. At this point I'm not going to take the 25 min dirve to complain. Also the order of yucca fires was not fully cooked and had to pop them in the air fyrer. I usually don't put up reviews but this is one too may mistakes to let go. I guess when you franchise and grow quality does fall off. read more
