We started with the fried green tomatoes -- and I can confidently say they were the best I've ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served over the most delicious, creamy grits that I'm still thinking about. That combination alone is worth the visit. For my entrée, I went with the fried chicken, paired with mac and cheese and bacon green beans. The chicken was golden, crispy, and juicy with so much flavor in every bite. The mac and cheese was rich and comforting, and the bacon green beans added the perfect savory balance to the plate. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and full of that true Southern flavor you hope for when dining in Asheville. Generous portions, bold flavors, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I would absolutely come back again -- and honestly, I'm already looking forward to ordering those fried green tomatoes again.

During busy times they stop taking orders if there is no seating available. We were able to wait at the register (tapping our feet, watching for a departure) until someone got up to leave and then we could order, but the experience was weird. Like- can we eat here or not? Other guests behind us in the queue left. My biscuit arrived cold. Not sure if that was how it was supposed to be. They have a jam station with butter as well. You put those yummies in a little cup and bring it back to your table. Only problem is that the butter was hard as a rock- didn't work when you have a cold biscuit. Dishes around us looked tasty but as a purist, I found the texture, flavor, and temperature of the biscuit to be pretty meh. Energy at the place is good. Despite the seating thing at the beginning, I didn't feel pressure to leave while we sat at our table and enjoyed our coffee. Would go back but might order something to jazz up the biscuit and will watch our time of arrival given that it can get busy.

I thought the lien moved fast and food came out in a reasonable time. Plenty of Seating inside and out. Kinda pricey for breakfast for two, but the biscuits are the size of a cats head.

I got the triathlete, egg white omelet do over cooked and rubbery but it was leaking liquid on the gross side. Inside like 2 mushroom cut in 8 tiny pieces no spinach, onion, tomato not get but 2/3 can of cheap hatch chills everywhere as the egg whites gave birth to the chillis. I had to send it back. 3. Husband got the wrap, what a joke maybe 1 or 1/2 egg white no goodies inside no spinach, the turkey sausage pieces looked like a nuclear experiment it also was leaking terrible this wouldn't fill an anorexic. Needless to say awful we go there for the fresh food, clean atmosphere definitely not for the prices but well over pay for good food, fresh food. SUNNY POINT CAFE EXPENSIVE BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY. My husband had to eat alone he was embarrassed to return his morsel. We left and drove to a Starbucks at least they are consistent and filling. Ruined the start to our Saturday !! We were greeted with friendly smiles when we entered the restaurant and after our conversation with a very friendly waitress, her name, Laurie, we decided on ordering some onion rings as an appetizer. For my main meal, I decided to get the fillet tips dinner with okra, and baked potato. My friend settled on their cheeseburger platter. When the onion rings came out, we started devouring them as they were simply delicious, one of the best tasting onion rings that I have eaten in a long time. The batter was light the seasoning was just perfect. Our dishes came out and my fillet tips, with grilled onions and finally chopped green peppers grilled, were delicious. The okra was crunchy tasty and delightful as well as my baked potato. My friend said her cheeseburger was excellent and we were very happy with our meal. We indulged also in their delicious homemade coconut cake, wow, what a treat that was! We certainly enjoyed ourselves and In The conversations we had with our waitress, Laurie, she just made everything perfect for our visit here! I will be returning again soon!
