I use to work in customer service so I get the struggles. However I have been having numerous issues with consistency with what I get. For example I order the buffalo chicken wrap with no tomato, but I end up getting tomato. I feel like it's hit or miss, on most days. Even today I was waiting for 15 plus minutes for my order. I have a few issues with TS, some of which are with the chain, some with this location. But overall I like it, and will continue eating here. The Styrofoam cups need to go. It's kind of appalling that a chain of this size still utilizes this material. They are long overdue in switching to a sustainable material for their cups and food packaging. I was really sad when they got rid of the salads. Now they have 'bowls' which are similar, but it seems like the quality of the lettuce has gone down. However, they've added the quesadillas which are really good! And I like how they are packaged. They don't get crushed or make a mess on the drive home. The smoothies, while really high in sugar, are really delicious. I pretty much stick to the triple berry oat because of the nutrition in this particular one. But I've tried many different flavors and they all taste really good. do think they need to add more nutrients and lower the sugar in the kids smoothies, and I would love it if they offered a smaller size in the regular smoothies. They do have an option to swap sugar for splenda, which would lower the sugar. I'm tempted to ask for neither, but I'm not sure how that would taste. The app has been a game changer! I love the option of ordering ahead for pickup, and the rewards actually add up really quickly. We've received $5 off rewards many times, and they often have $1 off smoothie days. There have been a few issues where options shown on the desktop site are not available on the mobile app, which is a little frustrating, but not enough to deter me from ordering here. This particular location: I like that they have a drive thru, but it does sometimes take quite a bit longer than you would expect. I've had a few issues when picking up an order placed ahead of time. They have a location at the counter with a sign indicating it is where you pick up orders. But no matter how long you stand there the staff never comes over and will serve everyone at the main register first. Usually if I order ahead now I just wait in the regular line and tell them I'm picking up an order, or if there is no line at the drive thru I'll pick up at the window. I love Tropical Smoothie! This location is smaller but well maintained and clean. The workers are young but very nice! The quality of the food has consistently been excellent and their smoothies are also consistently delicious. This is one of my favorite places to go to eat! Highly recommend! read more

My biggest gripe is their use of non-recyclable styrofoam cups and no recycling receptacles. It's 2019 you guys and our oceans are full of waste from these kinds of single use plastic items, ya'll really should do more to be a less wasteful company. read more

AWFUL EXPIRIENCE! On my last visit to the northland drive tropical smoothie, I ordered a Bahama mama smoothie and a supergreen ceaser wrap with no chicken. The Bahama mama was clearly unblinded, with huge chunks of ice making it almost impossible to use a straw. Now, I would have normally let that go but the wrap itself was basically inedible. They gave me chicken, which isn't a big deal I understand mistakes happen, but the chicken was litterally raw and had contaminated the entire wrap with its pink underbelly. For the final kicker they forgot my banana. Safe to say I will not be coming back again and would recommend everyone else to do the same. read more

Been here a lot. Good smoothies. Annoyed now though, hate when businesses close 5-10 minutes earlier than their stated time. Walked in at 8:55pm and they close at 9. The girls turned the lights off when they saw me walking up. Told me they closed when I walked in. Pretty annoying is all. I don't like showing up 5 minutes before close either but still. This place is a basic chain, I get that and for that reason don't generally think about writing reviews on businesses like this one. I have to make an exception for this place. There really isn't much for healthy and fast on the NE end, but this place fits the bill. I love the chicken pesto dishes. I love that you can also ask for Splenda as your sweetener of choice. I refuse to go to this location until they make recycling available to customers. It angers me at how much waste we produce, and the fact that this this Tropical Smoothie location is contributing to that ever growing waste problem, makes me very disappointed. So I used to work here and all I wanna say is that the workers are very polite and work hard to make your food on time even if it is a long wait. The blenders and ovens take a lot longer than at a Mcdonald's or Burger King. The manager is quite shady however. Lots of gossip floats around that place and she picks and chooses her favorites (if you aren't one of them, you'll probably have the worst time working there.)
