This is Bow with Chicken, Euro, cucumber, tomatoes, onion, and rice. Yum!!!

If you're looking for the Holy Grail of good eating, you've officially found it. Healthy, fair portions, and fairly priced. This is saying a ton in the 2024 economy. The environment isn't slow, or too fast paced, but simple. That simplicity is more than enough. This place is about the food, and how good it is. The experience is in the eating. This is gym go-er, healthy eater, foodie type cuisine meant to keep you going through the day. Mediterranean food does that soooooo well. Highly recommended!!!

half eaten sandweech :)

Service was amazing! All the workers were super friendly and so helpful. The food was very good, about 30$ for two meals, fries and a drink. the restaurant is small, with few seating but it is more of a take out place like qudoba or subway. I would definitely come back again.

Awful. Not a Gyro in any sense of the word and overpriced. Brand new but not up to Greek cuisine in service or product.

I went with the fattoush salad with dark meat chicken and feta, and Nate got the "sandweech" (wrap) combo with gyro meat.

Normally this is my go-to spot on a chilly day. It's close to home and always have so many options…read more I've never had a soup here I didn't love and the staff are all friendly. They will let you try samples in store if you ask. I recently tried their new summer menu and while the picnic burger was delicious, I expected it to be a bit larger for the price (it was on a slider bun). The Hawaiian mac salad was tasty, but was a little heavy handed on the red onion for my own personal preference. I will for sure be trying some other things on their picnic menu, but honestly looking forward to the fall hoping that they will switch back to their regular menu with soup and grilled cheese. I support whatever helps them stay open since I assume soup isn't the most popular option come July and heat waves!

I was craving a grilled cheese and some soup recently so I ordered a pickup order from Uncle…read moreCheetah's Soup Shop. Their menu includes 10+ different soups each day, as well as several sandwiches and some salads. I ordered the garage sale: white cheddar, fresh mozz, rosemary goat mousse, havarti, and swiss on challah. I also got the steak and mushroom soup and the snert soup for Nate. When I arrived my order was waiting for me - it was nicely packaged and secure so everything was safely contained for my short drive home. The sandwich wasn't very melty, I ended up heating it up in a pan myself which helped. It was super tasty, though! I love the combination of cheeses. The steak and mushroom soup was really good, with chunks of meat in a creamy broth. The snert soup was very salty! The menu description indicated the snert soup should have sausage or kielbasa in it, but we didn't notice any. The restaurant itself is pretty small with limited seating, but I'd probably just order there next time. You can also get samples.

This is (still) one of the city's coolest hidden gems! New City Cafe is a student-run restaurant…read morethat serves wood-fired pizzas, salads, soup, and bakery items. Their mission is "empowering youth to reach their full potential" and all the teens we interacted with were so great and polite. They're only open on Thursdays in the summer from 4-7 pm, but it's definitely worth seeking out if you like pizza with a purpose. They offer specialty pizzas that change each week, in addition to cheese pizza and pepperoni pizza. You can even build your own pizza with their farm fresh ingredients (literally, they source many of their ingredients from the 1-acre urban farm located next to the cafe). There's lots of outdoor seating as well as a super cute dining area inside with a colorful and fun mural. You can order online ahead of time and take your food to go as well. Nate and I tried the Micaela, a pepperoni and pineapple pizza, and their supreme with pepperoni, bacon, sausage, onions, peppers, and mushrooms. The pizza came out quickly and it was so delicious - super cheesy and flavorful. I love the char on the crust that comes from the super hot wood oven. Prices range from $10-$15 and they have at least one vegan option each week. We sat inside and it was nice and cool, but it did get pretty loud. Family-friendly spot, we saw lots of kids. I love the mission and food at New City Cafe and make it a priority to visit at least once each summer. Hoping I can make it back again before their season ends!

They use a sourdough base from Field and Fire and cook each pizza in a brick oven. Every week, their menu changes and I haven't had something I didn't like. I had Chicken and wild rice soup (which is my favorite) and it was very runny and watery. I also found a legit frozen piece of chicken in my salad. Then about hour 2, I started to feel pain in my stomach and then my body turned achy and I became weak. I vomited a few minutes later at work and had to lay on the floor because I was too weak. After vomiting 3 more times, all it came out was the egg and cheese sandwich, I had not eaten anything for 14 hours, I decided to call Panera to let them know that they should check the cheese because of what happened to me. The woman on the floor told me that it could not have been them because if it was a lot of people would have gotten sick as well. Surprised with her lack of empathy, I told her that it was possible that people may associate vomiting to something else, I happened to not have eaten for multiple hours (intermittent fasting) she argued with me even though she said she didn't want to argue, she cut me off saying she understood what I said. I told her that I knew she understood me, we were both speaking English, but I was expecting empathy not just a dismissal of what I had gone through. I called out her attitude toward a well intended complaint and she became extremely defensive, I asked to talk to a manager and she said she was the manager. I asked to talk to someone else and she put me on hold for a few seconds and then hanged on me. I called twice again and no one picked up. I know a lot of young people work there, I've seen attitudes but this lady took it to a different level. Do better. I visit this restaurant often for years, this was new and very disappointing. I keep calling and it doesn't even go to voicemail, someone just cancels the call. They don't want to listen or face accountability
