Not the best experience. No "hello" when arriving to place an order. Didn't seem to want to take our order and then my food was cold. Smoothies were ok but really messy all over the lid and leaking down the sides. Would find another location. read more

Both my wife and I have had less than solid experiences at this location. We're both big fans of Trop and have been for years. We live near this location and would go a lot more if there was a higher level of service, or really any at all. Simple eye contact and a smile go a very long way for us. The food and smoothies are honestly fine.. when they get the order correct. This has been a common issue. Possibly more training needed for employees? Not their fault if they aren't coached up. Worth nothing that the last couple of times we've been in the restaurant, the music has been so loud that we're not even sure that the employees can hear our order. I really don't want to deter business from any location, but hopefully this provides some feedback that is useful. read more

To begin they shut their phone off in the morning so they can't receive calls. Then the general manager Trenton had a very nasty attitude when I say something about the phone being off. Then he tried to give me a very soupy smoothie to hurry me out his store. I asked him why is it like this He quotes "you watched me make it." Just an update since we were back lately. The Jerk chicken quesadilla is great, a must try if you were there. Maybe not bring home but eat right there while it is warm; you won't be disappointed. Bahama Mama smoothie is really delicious while Paradise Point smoothie, you didn't taste much of mango but pineapple only. read more

Smoothies and food were to be expected having had them at other locations. I arrived a full hour before closing and the had all of the chairs out away and they (there were 3 people I saw working) were cleaning. I asked if they were closed and they said no. So I ordered and then asked if it would be easier for me to take down a barstool from the counter or a chair from the table and was told that I can't eat inside. So I had to eat in my car. read more

Whenever I go in this place is busy! Yet, the staff are friendly and working hard. Today was a new crew I hadn't seen on previous visits. All women busting out food, smoothies, smiles, and good attitudes. I appreciate their smoothies and the food. I recommend the Island Chicken Quesadilla or Super Green Chicken Ceasar Wrap. Both fill me up and are tasty!! If I were to have a complaint it would be about 2 things. There was a manager at the store for awhile, a guy, who yelled a lot. It was always hyped up and tense when he was in there. I had started making it a habit of ordering for pickup because he was there. I fortunately haven't seen him in awhile. And the atmosphere, while hard working, is more relaxed and tropical. My other little nitpick is when you order a supplement, ask them to blend it again. Otherwise, I seem to end up with a clump of supplement in the middle of the smoothie, and that's not tasty to suck up a straw. read more

I gave a 4 because of the smoothie (Jetty). BUT please talk to your employees about how what they say, we can all hear... one young man said he wanted to just quit today and had a horrible attitude. I know some days are bad and these employees have to wear masks so I brushed it off... even though we could all hear him complaining. He then went to a female employee and told her she was annoying. That was upsetting. This young lady was just making one smoothie after another busting her butt. While he talked down to her. Please talk about kindness with them and tell them that it is not good for anyone's mental health. I left feeling sick because this girl had to work with that negativity... during a pandemic! I don't know who was the manager on site because they all looked the same age and no one was really directing them which with six people in that small area it looked chaotic. Again, your establishment don't deserve zero stars based on an employees bad attitude but should definitely give them some more training to them. read more

My boyfriend and I would come here often in the last few months because we loved tropical smoothie and their food but this recent time was terrible. My boyfriend's chia banana max with peanut butter smoothie was so chunky he had to wait for the protein power to dissolve to even drink it but it was still hard to drink with the straw. I thought my Bahama mama smoothie was fine until I got halfway through it and then I kept pulling tiny strands of plastic/fabric/mysterious material out of my mouth. Not sure what happened because they were usually pretty good but I don't think we're gonna return to this location ever again. read more

I am a loyal Tropical Smoothie Cafe customer, and it's very troubling to have to write this review, but I feel as though the customers as well as the public should know about my experience, be very careful and watchful when ordering from the S. Cedar St Lansing MI location, I ordered my smoothie and a girl literally took the whole pitcher In the back for while, and In my heart I know that she had done something to because of prior concerns with her, and had only shared my concerns with the manager, after watching her I didn't feel good about the situation, so I politely asked for my money back and left, after witnessing this nasty behavior, I feel that Belle is a liability to this company, and not a asset, you should never tamper with anyone's food or drinks, I will never go to this location again EVER! read more

I went in there today for lunch and ordered about $30.00 worth of food. Obviously there is no managers on staff today. Having 2 very young inexperienced girls trying to take orders, make all the food, and smoothies isn't exactly great planning on managers part. I would caulk it up to a bad day or someone called in or quit but this has been my last three times I've been here. Now I have taken notice because its 3 times in a row. It just took me 45 minutes for 3 smoothies and two sandwiches with only to customers in the whole store. I got my 2 hot sandwiches about 30 minutes after I arrived then waited another 15 minutes for the two smoothies. Needless to say sandwiches are now cold. I asked for a manager and what do ya know they aren't in today. This place is slacking and needs direction from someone that cares. Then while I was walking out the girl accidently dropped one of the smoothie lids on the ground. She didn't bother to pick it up right away but yet let it lay there for a few then picked it up and put it back in with all of the clean lids to be used on someone else. I love Tropical Smoothie (and was very excited to hear we were getting one on the south side of town) but will go out of my way to visit the other locations. I've only been in there a couple of times (doesn't seem to be a good environment ) but the last time, I witnessed an employee who is apparently "the manager" yelling and degrading the employees in front of the customers - BAD for service!!! On the way out, I told the associate she did a great job making my smoothie, trying to put a smile on her face, and asked for "the managers" name. On Monday I ordered curbside service for 6:00. I called immediately as the sign stated and they said they would be right out. As 20 minutes went by others were getting their items, but not me. I called back and was told that I had to come in and get it myself. I told them I didn't have a mask and the response was "if you want your smoothie and food, you have to come in and get it.
