I saw Smoothie King and thought perfect! I can't remember what kind it was but it was delicious. I also tried one of their new chicken Panini's with pesto it was absolutely delicious. Totally enjoyed it. I am now back in Lawrence and I have been to smoothie King twice. I tried the flatbread chicken Panini again and a strawberry kiwi breeze. I added some things along with some enhancers smoothie was delicious. I didn't like the Panini this time. I think it was because it wasn't evenly distributed. There was too much meat and cheese in one area and not in the other, so it was wet and clumpy. Today I went back for another smoothie and took my granddaughter we enjoyed them immensely. Both times I was greeted at the door and allowed to take my time perusing the menu. The first couple of times I was even given suggestions based on what my likes were. They are a little pricey, but pretty much everybody is now. I forgot pics this time.

I guess the adult there could see utter fright on my face & he assuredly let me know that the kids were alright & had each been treated to a smoothie & the last of the large group was on their way out. As we meandered through the masses & made our way in, the staff seemed to handle the group very well and soon they were all given their smoothies and out the door they went! Thank GOD! I began reading the detailed menu & asking questions as I read. There seemed to be a smoothie for any & everything imaginable which I found impressive. I'd much rather have more than enough choices than too few. The owner & staff were extremely knowledgeable & explained so many different health/medicinal benefits. I was certainly being educated on all the herbs, vegetables & other content & how each worked with this or that. I even received a lesson on water that was sold there which was right up my alley. There was also literature handy on healthy eating, getting fit & tips on the role that smoothies played in overall wellness. The owner as well as his staff were personable, appreciative of our business & very knowledgeable with each inquiry & oh so patient. The owner shared his personal experience of how he selected each smoothie based upon what his body needed & even let me in on his daily workout routine & things that he did to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The ingredients were displayed in such a pristine fashion & were very fresh. The appearance of this C's Sensational Smoothies was nice, neat, clean & inviting. Every smoothie or juice I've had so far has been absolutely refreshing and delicious. The nice part is the kitchen is open area for customers to watch the employees make the smoothies. Today I ordered the avocado smoothie and it is absolutely delicious. I watched the employee make my smoothie and she put in fresh juices, fresh lime, squeeze, fresh avocado, and fresh kale. This is my new favorite. The mango bomb, guava burner is also good as well as the hangover. I can't wait to try out more of them.

My sister and I split 3 entrees (we like to try as much as possible)- the chili, the southwest chicken quinoa bowl, and the blueberry cranberry turkey sandwich. My favorite was probably the sandwich... now, when you read the ingredient list, it includes 'cabbage' with no other description (which we found odd). It's actually thinly sliced red cabbage that both visually and texturally adds so much to the experience. As a coffee person (I like it black), I was pleased to see a self-serve station, though the addition of rock sugar sticks as coffee stirrers is a cute addition! There are never any good coupons, promotions, or discount days, but even so, I continued to support your business, spending on average $17 a visit. I kept hoping that once you were more established, you'd start showing some appreciation to your customers. But today was the last straw. My bowl wasn't even filled to the top. When I politely asked the employee for a bit more fruit, especially since there were only five blueberries in my bowl and plenty of room left, I was told that management has instructed staff to put no more than five blueberries in each bowl. They are not allowed to fill the bowls anymore. This is a lousy business practice, and it speaks volumes about how little you value your customers. There's a new açaí bowl establishment just miles away that offers BOGO days, a rewards program that actually counts, and bowls filled to the brim. You can keep your five blueberries. I'll be going elsewhere from now on.
