Don't be fooled by 'small' - they're plenty big as a meal for one person. We both had the mixed greens but there were many greens options. Then came a myriad of vegetable options, the cheese, beans and more. Then dressings galore. All of these are included in the base salad price. $9.95 in my case with the small salad. Then came the protein options, both animal and vegan. I got grilled chicken and my wife got grilled salmon. The salads are made in stainless steel bowls. Near the end of the line, they use tongs to toss the salad well with your chosen dressing. My wife had 2 different dressings, both on the side. Then you can choose bread. I chose none. My wife chose what looked like baked of fried pita bread chips. Adding protein to the salads drove the cost by $3.95 (chicken) and $4.95 (salmon). My wife ordered a tea - that was $2.75. With tax and 15% gratuity, our lunch out cost $38.89. Not inexpensive. We both felt the lettuce and vegetables were all fresh. The proteins were great too. She enjoyed her ginger tea as well. Was the value there? This is a close one. I felt it was a bit too spend, yet I did enjoy the meal. Salata for me is a place I will return to, but will not be in heavy rotation. My wife had a Gyro (menu item #1) and I had a Gyro Salad (menu item #12). Both were decent food items but they weren't head and shoulders above anywhere else I've eaten the same. The amount of Gyro meat was adequate (it was carefully weighed during assembly), not over abundant. The Tzatziki sauce was definitely lacking. It was there but it wasn't flavorful. The Greek dressing was decent and the amount of lettuce was good as well. The store wasn't busy around 1 pm on a Saturday. The indoor seating area is quite large. There were ceiling fans going and it kept the interior very cool. We put on our light jackets. I found the place to be clean as well. If I was at the east end of town and wanted a quick Greek meal, I would eat again at Stop-N-Go Gyros. Likewise, if I was on the 287 corridor, I'd definitely stop at Gyro Stop.

I ordered that same item another time with a spice level of 3 and could barely eat it because it felt like I was eating straight heat. The mistakes and inconsistencies haven't been enough to stop us from ordering though since we really do enjoy their food, and the portions are generous. I've been there in person once to pick up a replacement order after one of the errors b/c they don't have their own delivery drivers so there's no way to bring you the correct food order after the initial delivery. It was nice inside; appeared to be very clean with good ambiance. The girls at the counter were very nice and were quick to help get me my corrected order. All the sudden one of the kitchen expeditors delivered our entrees. Oh yummy, everything looked wonderful. She loves 54th Street's fries. So the French fries were the first to be tasted. I saw an ugly face and wondered what was wrong. I tasted one of the fries and made the same ugly face. The was WAY TOO much salt on the fries. They were inedible. Fortunately one of the managers was close by and I summoned him to our table. My wife explained what the issue was with the fries. Since the French fries were on a separate plate, the manager asked if he could taste them. Yep, ugly face, way over seasoned. He said he'd be right back. He took the plate back to the kitchen.
