Ordered food at 10:40 am. Ordered 2 chipotle chicken clubs and a smoothie. Was given 1 chipotle chicken club around 10:50am. My friends didn't come out until 11:20... and his smoothie was nowhere in sight. The smoothie didn't get made until 11:40am. AN HOUR LATER. Rediculous. Food was great, and I loved the jalapeño corn side, but with wait times like that... and forcing me to eat my food cold since I had to wait for my friends meal to be made... Never again.

Love tropical smoothie! I always recommend their chicken pesto flatbread. I've never gotten a bad one, chicken is cooked well, with a bunch of veggies and fresh flatbread. They also load up the pesto! For smoothies, i like the peanut paradise (peanut butter and banana) alongside the triple berry oat. Both were delicious and pretty standard smoothies. Everything is customizable and can be as cheap/simple or expensive as you'd like. Download the app too to accumulate points!

The Hummus Veggie wrap was so good!! Def recommend the mango magic smoothie too!

My wrap was so good! And my mango magic smoothie lasted almost all day - it was awesome.

very slow and poor customer service

my experience kinda pissed me off. i came here to pick up a smoothie and a bag of chips, why did i get here at 11:03 and it's now 11:15? no sign of when my order gone be ready. everybody in here pissed off, the employees talking trash about their manager because he (or she) forced them to work this early morning sunday shift, and i got places to be. i just got my stuff as im making this review and my smoothie is liquid. all i know is, this young man and young lady are about to need an ambulance soon if they don't stop playin with people's food, time, and money.

    Chipotle Chicken Club

Called in an order for 2 chicken clubs and 2 tropicooladas , got there around 15 mins after i called, only my smoothies were made, took 20 minutes for them to finish my 2 sandwiches while i watch everyone else get the food they just ordered, get home and get ready to dig in and theres no bacon on my sandwich. Im not the type to get upset over fast food service but this is unacceptable i did not pay 25 dollars for 2 sandwiches and smoothies for the sandwich i ordered to not have the ingredients that come on the sandwich. very unsatisfied, feel like ive been robbed of my $25 , definitely not going again and if i were you i wouldnt eat here either

I would give these guys 10 stars if I could. I literally pass three other tropical smoothie stores to get my smoothies from this location. Not only do they taste the best, by a lot! But they are so consistent, I've always had an amazing experience. All the other tropical smoothie stores in Brevard County are hit or miss, (especially the one between Sarno and Eau Gallie on Wickham, they suck on a very consistent basis) The other tropical smoothies, even their best days don't compare with the smoothies from the Palm bay store on Babcock. I know it sounds far-fetched, but I'm telling you the truth, this place is by far THE BEST tropical smoothie café I've ever been to in the States.

Carmen's Restaurant and Catering 2280 Harris Ave NE Palm Bay, FL 32905…read more 4 Stars After what appeared to be a mistake in my last Jamaican joint review (whoa, that has a few connotations), I thought I was being punished by immediately being sent to another one by my random name generator. After smacking it on the side a few times and shaking it, I found it to be working correctly, so I proceeded to Carmen's Restaurant and Catering in Palm Bay, FL. What a world of difference! Carmen is the proprietor and a one-woman show and boyo, let me tell ya, she sure shines. I found Carmen's menu to be a joy to behold, as eclectic as my vinyl collection. As such, I decided to go in a different direction today and steered away from the traditional Jamaican fare such as Jerk Chicken and Curried Goat and went with an order of Carmen's Fried Chicken with sides of rice, beans and potato salad along with an order of her Bang Bang Fried Shrimp Tacos (the same name as the drek at the horrid Bonefish Grill) with fries. As Carmen got to work on my eats, I took in the interior. I found it to be open, welcoming, bright, and cheery, not unlike the owner! Carmen was out in no time with my foodstuffs. Taking a few before pictures, I got to work. I turned my attention and palate to the Fried Chicken. The first thing I noticed was the crunch of the coating. If you look at the picture I've attached, you can see what I mean. That coating was slathered on without care for conservation. It wasn't too much, it was just enough. The chicken, blanketed in a tender, juicy, succulent coating, tasted superb. The rice and beans were well-cooked and seasoned with love. The potato salad, like everything else, I assume was made by Carmen and if your Grandmother makes a better potato salad, I will eat these words! I can't speak for you, but when I hear or read the words, Bang Bang, I immediately think of three things. First, playing cops and robbers as a child and "shooting" the bad guy with my finger gun while shouting, "Bang! Bang!" The second is the Bollywood bad remake of a worse film, "Bang Bang!" The third thing I think of is Chinese Street Chicken. None of this has anything to do with Carmen's Bang Bang Fried Shrimp Tacos, other than the Bang Bang sauce is loosely based on the Chinese Street Chicken tossing sauce. Carmen's Bang Bang sauce was a mixture of mayo, spicy stuff and it was mahvalous, dahling! The shrimp were coated with the same love and care as the chicken and were just as tender and juicy. Got Dayum! Carmen knows her way around a kitchen. I can only assume these are her recipes as well. She should open a restaurant and share this with...oh, wait. Never mind. With this meal and the success of the Fried Chicken at Cajun Soul, my hopes have been raised considerably. The Big Boy says, "If you want good eats served with love and a friendly smile, visit Carmen. Tell her the Big Boy sent ya (it's safe this time)!"

If you have ever been to Jamaica, then you would love the food here. I even got their beef patties with sauce. I could make a meal with those alone. They are so good. Well packed with meat and flavor, the sauce just adds to it and takes it over the top. When we finished, I had a very happy tummy. There is more I want to try, so I will definitely be going back. They have signs that they do a Sunday brunch and will have to give that a try. If you use credit or debit cards they do add a 4% fee. Have noticed a lot of places are doing that now. Just another reason to carry some cash. But even if you don't 4% really isn't that back as their food is worth it. Stop in give they a try.

It was delicious and different from your typical coffee drink. Everything from the food to the service made this a memorable stop during our trip. The chicken salad was a tad dry for me so next time I will ask for extra mayo to add in. It came with tortilla chips (from a bag I would imagine and they tasted like it) and some of their homemade beet hummus. A hard pass next time. Not my thing apparently. Also it says it comes with tomato. Missing on my wrap. Just noticed reviewing the menu. That may have helped with the dryness. They had a cooler that had drinks in it, but the bottle of tea I grabbed was warm. They also have a thing of water you can help yourself to. But it could have used some ice. It was room temp. But free. Busy cafe and they were pumping out the food and drinks. Coffee drinks appeared to be very popular from my vantage point. Gonna have to give it a go again and try a bowl. I finished my workout at the gym (Planet Fitness) and had to walk back to my vehicle which was parked a bit further west due to how full the gym was. I usually get something from Rita's but noticed the SS Cafe almost next to it. Not ever hearing about this cafe and thinking it was possibly an independent business, a mom-and-pop per se, I went in to check it out. The interior was very simplistic, semi-minimalist with warm relaxing colors. There was a Buddha painting in the back area and a number of framed coffee shop art and positive affirmations. The front service desk had the menu of food items adorned on chalkboards on the floor leaning on the desk's front board. There were an assorted array of smoothie flavors, baked goods, acai berry bowls, and paninis. All this delicious food is made with love and affection by the owner and chef extraordinaire of SS Cafe, Gabby. On a sidenote as a joke with a dash of honesty, I joked with Gabby the reason why so many men come in is because she's a one-two punch: creates delicious food, and is gorgeous. But seriously, it is great to see more mom-and-pop businesses, especially restaurants take root in Palm Bay, FL. The restaurant is simplistic and nice, food is great, and Gabby is very presentational. As for pricing, it is fair but I will admit they are higher on average given its locale. Will definitely return and try more of their paninis as well as more of their drink, especially smoothie, flavors.
