The kids size was less than $2 cheaper than a small, but instead of accommodating the request, they lost the sale entirely. What made it especially frustrating was that after making my smoothie, there was plenty left over. They offered my sister a sample and then poured the rest into the trash. It made absolutely no sense to refuse to sell me a smaller portion, only to waste that much product moments later. I understand businesses have policies, but this one resulted in poor customer service, a lost sale, and unnecessary waste. A little common sense and flexibility would have gone a long way.
