5 years ago BEFORE all these Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations started opening up, there were only 1 in Hicksville, which I frequent every week and also the closest to me (25 minutes away) but ever since I moved, I haven't had it in like years. Was at HomeGoods today and decided to walk next door to this TSC bc I was actually craving the "Jetty Punch" (strawberries & banana) smoothie (my favorite!). I had placed my order through the app about 10 minutes prior and when I arrived, my 4 drinks were all ready. A little pricey at $7.59 a smoothie (24 oz.) but it was really good so it's worth it. This location was very clean and spacious with ample parking. And the staff were friendly and attentive. Besides smoothies, they also have wraps, flatbreads, sandwiches, salads, quesadillas as well as breakfast items (opens at 7 am on the weekdays). I used to always get the "Pair And Save" (smoothie and a wrap). Their Thai chicken wrap is delicious. Will definitely be back again to try the Island Green and Avocolada smoothies. read more

I am obsessed with this place . The sign out side is so vibrant and welcoming . You walk inside and it's nice and bright and the staff is so friendly. My favorite items on the menu are the capri sandwich and the strawberry and banana smooth. Yummy . This location is located in a mini mall so there's a huge parking lot with plenty of space . Great place , great food and the price is cheap which is great . read more

service is awful at this location. employees are as rude as they come and shouldn't be in the service industry. its giving a mean girl cafeteria vibe. they don't greet you when you walk in, there's never an apology for constantly incorrect orders, half of the time i'm waiting for service bc the employees are hiding in the back. and when they do finally come out they're so awful and nasty, glaring the whole time with dirty looks, clearly pissed off to have been bothered. sorry that you have to do your job and make a smoothie, how rough won't be coming to this location anymore even though i love trop's food. i'd recommend getting your staff some proper training or replacing them with people who enjoy their work and aren't so clearly miserable to be there. read more

A good addition to the limited food option plaza here at port. Menu is simple and offers variety. One popular item is their Jamaican/jerk chicken bowl. Portions are not measured to share, maybe between two children but for an adult, barely. Price is decent but a bit more portion would be more qualified. Taste isn't all that great either. I do not recall exactly what the size was--was definitely large. Got into Union Station to be picked up by my girl friend. We were on our way north to Acadia National Park for fleece-wearing weather in mid July 2019. These smoothies were a great help to the start off 8-hour journey north. That was the weekend the major heat wave hit the Northeast. CONS: - None: Limited assessment secondary to not knowing the cost of the drinks as well as not obtaining the in-dining experience. On a quest to find healthy, fresh, quick service food near home and this place takes the cake. Found it on Uber Eats and have since visited the premises twice. Never had a bad meal. Smoothies are refreshing, and the portions are great! Order a Baja Chicken bowl for only 470 calories, filled to the brim with a ton of great ingredients. Apple Kale Slaw was adventurous for me but I'm glad I tried it. Tropical decor is fun; staff is very warm. Definitely recommend this place. read more

This place is ok. I usually make my own smoothies every day but come here if I'm out and need something quick and healthy. I thought their smoothies were pretty good until I learned they put sugar in them (but don't list it as an ingredient smh) there's nothing healthy about dumping sugar in a smoothie !!! So I started ordering my smoothies with no sugar and discovered the sugar is what makes them taste good. Without it they're watered down and just not that good. Again, I make smoothies at home everyday and never add sugar and they're always sweet so now I'm questioning the ripeness or quality of fruit they're using. If you have their app you can accumulate for a $5 credit (once you purchase reach up to $55 and so on). Staff is very casual and simple, NO experts here in the health nutrition. Amazing! This place is everything and more than what I expected. There are the right amount of choices on the menu. I tried the BBQ chicken flat bread and I instantly fell in love at the first bite! Ordered online which was easy breezy but there was a bit of confusion when I went to get my order. No biggie until o got home with my Baja salad with NO avocado and no flavor whatsoever. The chicken was moist and tender which was a good thing just not enough to make it worthwhile. read more

This place is kind of like Jamba Juice but serves food. Fresh smoothies are pretty good here. Favorite is the green detox which is pretty tasty. Nice alternative to Jamba and nice to have a smoothie place in Port Washington. read more

This was a really bad experience and unhealthy smoothies. The employees are very nice but know nothing about food allergies, neither does the manager. Half of the fruit is sitting in syrup, and they flavor them with syrups... that can't be good for you. When I sent mine back because it was so bad, the manager actually charged me for a whole new smoothie. read more

I'm surprised to be only the second reviewer since there are always customers here when I come. Tropical smoothie cafe is delicious! My favorite is the Detox Island Green smoothie (I swap out banana for coconut) and add fat burn. There's no sugar added which is why I get it. You can ask for any other smoothie to be made using Splenda to reduce calories/sugar. The food here is also good. I've gotten the fish tacos and they were really delicious. I've gotten the chicken quesadilla for my kids and that was great too. The place is always clean and the girls behind the counter and friendly and accommodating. My only requests would be that they offer different sizes (sometimes the huge cup they use is just too much) and that they offer delivery. That would be a dream come true! read more

I looked up their closing time and it said they closed at 8pm. I got to their location at 7:25pm and when I walked in the girl said they were closing early. Well the smoothies taste good but they have to much sugar. Plus isn't it just frozen fruit and not fresh fruit. I don't think that makes a very healthy smoothie. Plus you should have some more vegetarian options. read more

Can I give zero? I work for a car dealership and twice I've had incidents with these people being rude. You have to spend $40 for them to even deliver to you. Then we made an order and they forgot two smoothies. My coworker told me they were going to send mine, I called to ask if I could get splenda before they send it. I said, you know how I usually get it, since the owner knows my name. The OWNER answers and starts yelling at me. I was confused, I was told you're going to bring it.. He said NO (yelling) and that he's not going to drive 15 miles to deliver it. 15 miles where?! We're in East Hills and they are in Port Washington. We also order at least 3 times a week from them.( Picking it up ourselves too) I started saying, this is really bad customer service. I didn't once raise my voice at him. We're constantly having issues with this store. A co-worker called back and the owner 'left." So we spent over $55 and two people don't have the drinks they asked for...( We also pay the delivery fee and make sure we have enough for them to deliver..) I can't wait for the Carle Place location to open. read more
