My oldest LOVES the super green, healthy smoothies after a workout at Vasa. Kale, avocado, etc. My youngest wanted to try the place out. My 15-year-old was mostly along for the ride. They both told me what they got, I don't remember. We've been Jamba patrons for years. They both said it was good but tasted more like something we have made at home. I concurred. That doesn't mean it was bad. It just means that we prefer to go out for stuff we can't equal at home. Looks like they've got a "full" menu for breakfast and lunch. Dinner, too but not so much. I believe all smoothies are 24 ounces and cost $5.00. I could be wrong. My oldest bought a plastic insulated Tropical Smoothie Cafe cup. The build-out of this place is first class. The kitchen, finish carpentry, decor - all first class. Did I mention it was first class? Went in to wash my hands. The bathroom was one of the best bathrooms I've used in a public place in recent memory. It was about noon on a Sunday. They only had one employee. Seemingly constant trickle of customers. She was super efficient. We were in and out in just a few minutes. So, it's no Jamba as far as the smoothies go.. Looks like their other offerings are light years away from Jamba. (Maybe that's the "Cafe part of their name?). My oldest is a big Jamba fan but that's been entirely supplanted by this place. I hope they create lots of customers like my oldest. Their smoothies are awesome with tons of options. I think their best deal is the smoothie with half a sandwich for 7.50. All their smoothies are 22 oz and cheaper than Jamba Juice. Customer service was great too. read more

We came back to this place twice while visiting family and friends in the area. Why? It's so refreshing to find fast food that has some nutrition. Also, I have many food allergies, so not just any smoothie will do. I can't have dairy, soy, or almond, which is usually your choices for liquid in a smoothie. Well, it was awesome to find out that here they do all fruit and veggie and only use water as the liquid! We even asked about the kid's smoothie and they said they add a little bit of sugar, but then offered to leave it out if we wanted. Loved that! A huge plus is that it's not only the smoothies that are delicious, but the sandwiches are too! You just can't go wrong. One piece of advice, the smoothies are HUGE and can most definitely be split between two adults or three kids. read more

I've been sitting at the drive thru window for 11 minutes as I start writing this review.. they took my order and I moved up as the car in front of me left. If I could give zero stars I would. On a Wednesday night at 7:28pm I pulled into the drive-in window of this place. There were three cars in front of me. I sat in the line for 30 minutes to get one smoothie... 30 minutes!!!! When I tried to address it with the kid running the drive through there were zero apologies and loads of excuses about being under-staffed and having too many online orders yet I only saw 2 people go into doors while o sat in the drive through. Today I pulled up to the drive-through, and I saw two of the employees sitting at a table and you could see them through the window. The female with the headset told me I could order whenever I was ready but failed to turn her microphone off because they started making fun of me while I was sitting there, listening to what they were saying. They proceeded to look through the window laughing at me and she said "ope" and turned the microphone off so I drove off without ordering because that was so rude and very unprofessional. At least turn your mic off next time if you're gonna talk shit on someone. Makes me never want to come back especially if you guys hire shitty humans. read more

Got the California club flat bread. It's not a huge portion but reasonably priced for a great tasting smaller portion sandwich. Between it and the smoothie it will be plenty. I like that they discount he smoothie to 3.50 with meal purchases. This was a great location visit. Smoothie tasted even better than when I get it at the st george location (Bahama mama). They use expired food, you can look at the dates if you look over the smoothie bar. They are also exceptionally rude and slow, especially the short blond with the attitude and angry tone in the mornings. If you are in a rush don't bother going here. Smoothies are good, nothing especially great, the staff was friendly and the store itself was very clean with a great lobby area. However when we went there the employees were outside working on a car and apparently didn't hear us come in. We waited in the lobby for nearly 15 minutes before he realized we were there and served us. I had high hopes for this place but by the time I got my smoothie I was already frustrated with the service. UPDATE: I went back recently to give it a second chance, and was much more impressed by their service. It must have been a one-time fluke and I also appreciate the quick response from the management. They have great smoothies. However every time I've been through their drive through the employee taking my order cannot understand me. I don't know why it cannot pick up my Voice. I don't have that problem at other drive through restaurants. And instead of asking me to pull up to the window to clarify what I want. They always guess or have me awkwardly sit at the menu sign in silence. Good customer service would have me just pull up and tell them my order Face to face as to not make a mistake in it. I arrived about thirty minutes after they were supposed to be open. Doors were still locked and the lights were off. Luckily I waited for a second and someone came out. It's a shame because the food is actually quite good (sometimes, it's a hit/miss) but the service is awful. If you're in a hurry don't even bother going there because you will wait a MINIMUM of 15-20 minutes. Drive through or walking in. I went to tropical smoothie today to get the coffee smoothie (mocha madness). Usually this smoothie is very good but today is was absolutely disgusting. The coffee they used was not instant coffee but regular ground up coffee that does not blend or dissolve. I was practically chewing my smoothie & didn't get very far before I poured it down the drain. All of the coffee was sitting at the top of the rim. I mentioned this to one of the employees & he replied with, "that's how we make it now." He didn't offer to replace it or blend it again. I have always loved Tropical Smoothie Cafe and usually order the cranberry pecan chicken salad sandwich. I decided to buy one for my step-mom, dad, my partner and myself around 5:00 p.m. Friday March 4th, I guess they were low on the fixin's wirh only enough for one sandwich, which they made into four. What we had was bread with a bit of the chicken salad. I had difficulty finding a bite of chicken to give my dog. I was so disappointed. Normally these sandwiches are loaded and so delicious. I saw the bad review complaining about how long she waited. This isn't McDonalds. They make your food when you order it just like smoothies so if someone in front of you placed a big order in the drive thru, you are going to have to wait. Be prepared for it to take time to cook the food. It's worth it and means you aren't getting heavily processed food. Healthy food that tastes great. It's one of our family and coworker favorites. I first experiences TS in Virginia and was excited to see it is here. I've also had it in Vegas. I've been to this location MANY times and took out of town guests here a couple of weeks ago who RAVED about it. I highly recommend this restaurant. The only thing I wish they would change is catering delivery. They did this in Virginia, and I used them for my work. There are so many office buildings close by.
