I did have to purchase a minimum of $2 worth so picked up two chocolate chip cookies. I didn't have mine yet but my husband loved his. This is an older location compared to ones I've visited in Sarasota and Orlando. They have a sign that the restroom is out of order here. Service was straight forward, but not friendly. read more

I couldn't tell what was worse, the service or the smoothie. I ordered a Bahama Mama and it was genuinely the worst Bahama Mama I have ever tasted. It had zero flavor, I added banana and couldn't even taste the banana, the smoothie just tasted like water. I went back to ask for a refund and they asked me how can they give me a refund, and instead asked if I wanted anything else. I proceeded to ask for it to be remade since apparently that's all I can do just for it to taste the same. I will never be coming back to this establishment again, and will never recommend this tropical smoothie in particular to anyone. read more

Tropical Smoothie Cafe is our go-to place for smoothies. We discovered it during a stay near Fleming Island. The juniors loved it and we stopped by a couple of times each week while we were in North Florida. We have been going to TSC in South Tampa for a few months now. The staff is very kind and happily split whatever smoothie the juniors select between two cups. The Avocolada is fantastic... very smooth and rice.. with avocado, spinach, kale, pineapple and coconut. I have been known to google hacks of this smoothie in an effort to try to make it myself. I also love the detox Island Green... which is the opposite of the Avocolada... lots of greens and juice... not rich and smooth at all. The juniors are currently smitten by Mango Magic... or any other smoothie with mango in it. The bowls are also quite good. Just the right size with good flavor. I like the Thai bowl the best but would happily eat any of them. We haven't tried any of the wraps... maybe one day. Great place.. great people! read more

They always mess up my food order and/or make it WAYYYY later than the app says it'll be ready. Not even just at this location but all of them around the state. They always seem confused and understaffed. They shouldn't have an app with to go orders and times if it won't be ready on time. Smoothies are decent. This is one of my favorite places to get a healthful smoothie or quick snack when I'm in a hurry. Leon, the owner of this location of TSC is very pleasant and personable and remembers most of his regular and repeat customers by name. I think that's generally unheard of in this day and age and I appreciate his hospitality and warmth. I also like that he gives back to the community and donates to local organizations as evidenced by his community board in the restaurant. Great job, Leon. The smoothies and snacks I have gotten from thus location are always fresh and made to order. I like that I can customize menu items without issue. I always ask for smoothie to be made without turbinado but Splenda is a substitution option. The workers are diligent and work to get orders out correctly and efficiently and are also pleasant. I have tried some breakfast wraps from here and the quinoa bowl and have enjoyed everything. I like that Beyond Meat strips are able to be substituted for chicken in wraps which offer chicken as a protein. I enjoy trying the seasonal offerings. My recently favorite has been the beet smoothies without turbinado. I also enjoy the Avocolada. Kudos to Leon and staff for keeping a tightly run operation which yields quick treats. I've visited this location so many times and every time there's the same employees, I'm not sure if they're owners but they're not friendly, no customer service what so ever. Boo. Thought I would be brave and order a healthy wrap and it was super disappointing. I wanted the Hummus wrap with veggies and didn't receive any Hummus. I knew It would be kind of bland and that's ok. I like my veggies plain. But, the Hummus was my protein and was totally left out. Cute smoothie place with good options. They have plenty of fun, fresh options and the smoothies are large. I've liked all the smoothies I've tried so far. I really like the Bahama Mama smoothie, I get it all the time! They have some other great options too. I like to switch it up with food and try new things every time. I love this Tropical Smoothie location! Their parking lot is a bit small and tends to be crowded due to having so many neighboring businesses, but the parking lot hassle is totally worth the trip! The staff working here is really friendly - and very funny. Our short conversations make me feel welcome and keep me returning to this spot rather than the downtown location. As for the smoothies - I love raspberries but hate the seeds that accompany many of the raspberry-based smoothies so I generally stick with the Peaches 'N Silk or the Kiwi Quencher. I also love the yogurt-based smoothies and being that the staff is super flexible, I usually add yogurt to one of my smoothies for a small up-charge. One more star for them for being available on UberEats. Picking up and completing their deliveries gives me an excuse to keep coming back for more smoothies! Keep up the great work T.S.! read more

This Tropical Smoothie on Neptune Street in Tampa used to be very good: Not ANYMORE. There is new management , a couple from India. They are extremely rude. 1. The place looks very dirty. 2. I ordered a combo and my smoothie was so sweet and the employee told me that they were using MORE SUGAR and LESS FRUIT!!! 3. Ordered a chicken flatbread and the chicken smelled horrible so I told this new owner and he said I was lying and that it was fresh. Then the other young employees came and were backing the "new owner" saying I was wrong and that the chicken was good . As i didn't want to get a food poisoning I left the store and will never go back . Will drive to other location and be safe. Used to really love Tropical Smoothie at this location; however they are not even attempting to practice COVID-19 precautions. No sign on door "Masks Required" Employees are mostly compliant, but had same employee on 2 occasions handle my fresh fruit with no gloves and she had to be reminded by fellow employee "Let customer pick up their fruit". No social distancing, place is crammed in with customers, UBER and other delivery service drivers and many guests not wearing masks. This is not the norm at any Tampa restaurant I have encountered since the pandemic. I will not return u til they can practice safe and responsible policies. read more

After years of coming to this Tropical Smoothie Cafe because they are so friendly, my most recent two trips have cemented them as the best in town! Last time I visited I called ahead to ask if they could take my order over the phone. The gentleman was positive and cheerful as he took my one smoothie order. Breezing in and out without waiting made all the difference that day. And today's visit topped my last. This morning I went in wanting one particular smoothie, as the woman began making it she noticed they didn't have enough/ the usual amount of carrots. She asked if I wanted the original order with the few carrots they or if I wanted something different. She was very patient while pursued the menu looking for an alternative. Within a short amount of time the substitute was made. ...That was all simple enough and how I would expect customer centered service to be provided...what was the figurative cherry on top was that she gave me a coupon for a free smoothie to make up for not being able to make my original request.
