These guys are all natural, non-GMO, plant-based, gluten-free, dairy-free, refined sugar free, no additives, artificial flavors, preservatives, or gums. I got the double chocolate and the coconut ice cream (after tasting almost half the store), and got it on top of a teff waffle (which apparently is like this Ethiopian low glycemic grass grain?). The combo was great. The homemade hazelnut chocolate sauce on top was a total slam-dunk - that made the dish complete. I would NOT miss out on the hazelnut sauce if you go! What this place is NOT - a place to get normal ice cream. I wouldn't say it tastes exactly like normal ice cream and waffles. The mouthfeel is a little less creamy than normal ice cream. But it definitely tastes amazing and it tastes like you're eating real food. I mean, I scarfed it down. You can find "healthy", "vegan" and "sugar-free" frozen ice cream out there but if you look at the ingredients, it is still packed with sugar, processed ingredients, alcohols, gums, aspartame, and other junk. I originally went here as part of the Yelp event, but since I ended up buying my own anyway I decided to leave my review here instead! For the event, I ended up trying a bite of almost all the flavors here so I can confidently say that even if you're not a big fan of vegan ice cream, you won't find flavors like these anywhere else. You can tell she is a very kind person at heart and honestly, it was a pleasure to eat the ice cream that she hand crafts. Everything tasted REAL! It's also a plus that she's open so late at night.
