Absolutely awful. I used to love this place but it has seriously gone downhill. My mom and I just waited half an hour for our order (one smoothie, one wrap, and an açaí bowl). The guy working in there was pulling the weight of the whole team while three girls behind the counter just goofed off and couldn't even greet customers waiting in line. When I finally got my wrap it was wrong, I had asked for ranch on the side instead of in it. Not a big deal except I didn't have another 30 minutes to wait for another one. The only reason I'm leaving two stars instead of one is because the manager was very sweet and quickly remade it for me. My mom's Açaí bowl was frozen, it's not fresh. We are so tired of spending money on food that isn't even halfway decent. Pro: delivery app. Con: price, bad food Was working at the hospital and my coworker suggested that we should order some random food through the door dash app. So, while randomly scrolling through the app I remember eating some good food from tropical smoothie back in Maryland a while ago so we decide to order here. I had the chicken bacon ranch flatbread and the mango magic smoothie. The flatbread was very dry and the flavor profile was flat. The only good thing was that the smoothie was very tropical tasting. While the employees were very kind, the store was very dirty. When entering, I immediately noticed trash all over the floor and dirty tables. Despite nobody else being in line to order and nobody being in the drive-thru, we had to wait a couple of minutes for an employee to come up to the register. This did not bother us much as we needed time to decide what to order. I ordered the Kiwi Quencher, my husband ordered the Bahama Mama, and we ordered a Jetty Punch to take to my dad. While waiting for the smoothies, I had to use the restroom. I was shocked at the uncleanliness of the bathroom. The toilet paper holder was empty and literally falling off the wall. There was nowhere to hang my purse and the floors were quite dirty, in addition to every other surface. It was obvious the bathroom hadn't been maintained in quite a while. Walked into an empty restaurant with one employee behind the counter. No greeting what so ever. She walked towards the back of the store and left me up front. My order was waiting for me to pick it up but I needed a cup holder. I can hear all the chatter in the back so literally had to yell "hello " a few times to get someone's attention. Finally a young lady came out and I asked her for a drink holder. She reached up on the shelf to get a cup holder then tossed it across the counter to me without saying a word. You will sit in the drive thru for 10+ minutes even if it's only you in the drive Thru. Multiple cars, you'll be there forever. I just watched the three employee make my smoothie, set it by the window, then proceed to all go laughing together into the back out of sight, take literally over 4 minutes before returning and handing the smoothie that just sat inside the window instead of handing to me. Unfortunately the first time we waited in the drive thru line for 20 minutes, we were told they were out of ingredients (as we watched someone walk in saying they had them). Oh well, stuff happens. Then we decided to try again on a different day and at 6:00 pm on a Thursday, we were told they were drive thru only. No signage on the door. Nothing. After seeing the line backed up and not wanting to risk them not having ingredients, we decided to go to the other tropical smoothie 10 minutes out of our way. Yes, I understand staffing can be an issue but based on the average rating, I shouldn't be surprised this happened. But if you are going to close the inside, lock the door and put a sign up. I don't mind paying the price that's not the problem it just tasted bad. Foods decent. Depends on who is working. Only come here if you have an hour to spare waiting on 2 people in front of you. I usually choose tropical because it's healthier than most "fast food" places. Staff are usually very amazing. But some other times you'll get teenagers doing their own thing not caring. I think they should pay their staff better and it would improve this location a lot. Bring in more serious people who are there to work, not play. My husband and I went through the drive thru this evening. It was our first time, and it will be our last visit. The line in the drive thru was quite extensive. We sat, patiently, for over 15 minutes. So, of course, we presumed that this place must be the best of the best, right? Wrong. After ordering 4 smoothies and a turkey, bacon, ranch, we then sat at the window for another 7 minutes to wait on our order. The employees were all very lax in their demeanor. After another 6 minutes, we were handed the bag with the only food item they "prepared" for us. It should've been THE BEST thing I'd ever eaten after waiting all that time, right? Again, wrong. The turkey was dry and brittle, it was like it had been sitting out all day under a heat lamp. The bacon is that prepackaged filth that you see at every fast food place around. The ranch was put on in such a haphazard way, it was impossible to hold the sandwich, without being drenched in it. The lettuce was the star of this sandwich. Really?! Lettuce? She once again acts bothered, I proceed to tell her the issue w my order- no apology was given and she made sure to emphasize it's 9 and they are technically closed. Well ma'am I was sitting there 30/40 mins- it had been maybe 1 mins since I got my order- it isn't not my problem that you messed it up - and no one should make the customer that patient enough to stay in line - feel line they're in the wrong for needing their food made properly. She had an attitude, took my bag, said fine I'll remake it but I have to close the door. I entered this location on Sunday night, 20 October 2019, at 7:30pm. The store sign states it closes at 9pm. I ordered and sat down to eat, the only customer in the store. About 7:40 the lights were turned off on me. I got up to see what was going on and an employee told me they were closed. I mentioned the sign and was told, "Yeah, we'll, we're closing early." I asked for the manager's contact information and was told, "I'm the manager, my name is Tristan." I had to leave my uneaten meal at the table.
