I suspect my burners were dirty leading to a delayed ignition. I scheduled, they came and cleaned them real quick. Painless experience.

After hearing the issue she said it's probably a capacitor that costs about 32 bucks at Ace Hardware but if we come put it on there'd be a $450 charge. So I Googled and You Tubed...how do you fix a capacitor on a Trane A/C? After watching a couple...I went to Ace and bought a new capacitor...yanked the old one off and put the new one on...with a little bit of Jerry-rigging as it was skinnier than the old one and didn't fit the bracket...and voila! Air conditioner is humming along nicely!!! Saved a lot of money! Thanks Dorothy at Davey Heating and Cooling! It's nice to have great customer service even though I never used your service. Dorothy offered to schedule a tech that afternoon and then started running through the most common causes. I got the recommendation for Controlling Systems through ChatGPT and they didn't disappoint. The sales process best of the bunch. Chris, our sales rep. took the time to do a manual J measurement throughout the house to ensure we were getting the right system for the house, which none of the other contractors even considered. After showing me all the options, we went with their RUUD top of the line system which came with a multi stage furnance, variable stage AC, and a heat pump. They applied the rebates offered by Xcel, so we didn't have to wait for the rebates, we just signed over the rebates to them during the sales process. The installers were top notch, kind, and ensured they took good care of our home. I couldnt be happier and highly recommend them. From a price point, they came out thousands less than the closest competitor, and I'd note the closest competitor wasn't willing to do a transfer of the rebates. We would have had to claim those after the sale.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY…read more Research their history on the Better Business Bureau website. They have engaged in similar practices in the past. My 86-year-old father hired them to replace two toilet fill valves and flappers. They charged him $677 twice, totaling $1354. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, I was unable to obtain a return call. I eventually spoke with Cyan, Kevin, and Jillian (none of whom were able to assist). I left several messages and sent two emails. Finally, I spoke with Marissa, the manager, who insisted that the price was reasonable for Castle Rock, CO. She now requires my father to obtain another quote, learn to navigate the internet, scan and email her the quote in order to price match a fair charge for the same service. They are not honoring their 100% satisfaction guarantee, which is prominently displayed on their website and in the paperwork/invoice that I had to request from them. My father was unaware of the typical charge for this service and did not inform me until it was completed and paid for. He even tipped the technician, Cameron Woods, $20 to purchase lunch after the job. He accepted the tip! This constitutes fraud against the elderly on an unprecedented scale. I posted on Nextdoor seeking advice and received over 80 comments from plumbers, neighbors, and handymen who indicated how unfair this situation was. I will report them to the Federal Trade Commission, the Attorney General's office, the Colorado Electrical Examining Board of Plumbers, the Better Business Bureau, and local news stations to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

After the fourth visit and two failed inspections, I asked to speak with the owner. He said he'd show up on the final day and didn't. Not showing up after committing to do so speaks volumes. On multiple occasions, employees attempted to -- or did -- walk through my home beyond where work was being completed with their shoes on. This is a basic courtesy that should not have needed to be addressed. On the final day, an employee complained about the time spent waiting for the inspector to arrive. After five+ weeks of doing exactly that myself, I couldn't help but laugh internally. Most importantly, Summit advertises a "100% Right or 100% Free" guarantee on their website. These are not complicated words -- 100% means 100%, and free means free. There is no secondary meaning to either. When I raised this, I was told it essentially means they will keep trying until the job is done correctly -- which is admirable in theory, but falls well short of what "100% Free" implies when a customer has invested THOUSANDS of dollars. After reading the other reviews, I'm hoping the problem with my AC wasn't just a leak somewhere that could have been fixed for much less. I would strongly encourage potential customers to clarify what that guarantee truly means before signing a contract, and to get everything in writing.

Dimitri, the owner came out promptly to assess the noise issue, diagnosed the problem, and said "I can replace the motor and you can probably get a few more years, maybe", out of this and gave me a ballpark cost. The furnace issues were more severe. I decided to replace both AC & furnace. The price quoted for a Trane unit was very fair. The install crew Ivan & Arvy were very experienced.
