We came here after the beach and sat outside to eat and Sasha was awesome! She provided great service and made sure we were able to enjoy and relax. She told us about the Chile lime fries that taste like Mexican street corn and we fell in love! Their food was unique, delicious and flavorful! We also came back later in the night to enjoy the music. Overall this place is a hit

Hubby and I love Tropics! We always make sure to stop by whenever we visit Coco Beach. The food is always great, cocktail options are crafted beautifully and they even offer to-go drinks. Every time we visit we opt for their Chile Lime Fries and their Fried Cauliflower. Both are so good and fresh! The bartenders recognized when it was our first time here and went over the menu options and even offered neighboring bars to visit which we appreciated! The inside was quaint and tropical. They mentioned they have live music as well at night which we can't wait to go back for. Highly recommend stopping by on your way back from the beach!

Really friendly bartenders and cool open space. Definitely stop by here for a fun cocktail! They have a discount if you pay with cash , and that's the price on the menus so be aware of that. Overall, it's a really relaxed vibe, it's a good to people watch too! We've gotten Mojitos (both classic and flavored), and the Florida man which were all good!

Good drinks, good atmosphere, Aarla is a great bartender love her! :) for sure recommend

I have some friends that moved from one area of Cocoa Beach to another, and they moved to a neighborhood that's literally less than a 10 minute walk from this place. The first time I went to visit their new digs, they brought me here, and I am so glad they did! First of all, the location is unbeatable. You're about 50 feet away from the sand of the beach, and the whole bar is super open, so you can do some excellent people watching as they all pour into or out of the beach. Second of all, this place has a proud mocktail menu, which is very rare non only in this country, but in this state, and especially in this county. So I really enjoyed that. FYI, I got the Virgin Pina Colada on the Rock (w/ coconut syrup, lime, pineapple, whipped cream, dark cherry), and it was very good. Very coconuty, with that lime to balance it out nicely. I also got the Fresh Brewed Sun Tea (w/mango), which is less of a mocktail and more of just, tea. But the mango flavor was Strong. Very sweet, so beware. Another couple joined us, so the six of us split a number of food items. Chile Lime Fries (cilantro-lime crema, cotija cheese, Tajin chili spice). Very fun. Crispy fried with a tangy crema everywhere, that creamy cheese, and the Tajin putting pops of intense twang in each bite. I liked it. Filipino Cheesesticks (cheese fried in lumpia wrappers w/ sweet chili sauce). Oooh. Very fun. Not sure the kind of cheese, but it was ooey and gooey and melty. Take a dip in the sauce and take a very crispy bite out of the lumpia wrapper. Awesome. And the Musubi (2 pieces, griddled Spam, pineapple teriyaki, furikake, green onion & sushi rice, wrapped in nori). If you know what musubi is, you know. If you don't, it's one of the best snacks on the planet. This is a very big musubi, very sharable, and a nice hunk of Spam for you to fill up on. Overall, the island vibe of this place was undeniable. I don't come out to Cocoa Beach very often, but when I do, I will probably be coming to this place every time.

Hey, DJ is that throw back Ciara from the early 2000s?! Omg yes! Because of the awesome throwback jams from last nights DJ, my family found ourselves at Tropics Cocktail Bar. So much fun! Ciara, the bartender was super personable and made some delicious stiffies. I would highly recommend Tropics out of the surrounding bars in this area because the drinks are good, the music was bangin' and the restrooms are super clean!

The sliders are a must, and the bartender (Tish) was the best. This is a must stop when you're down here.

This bar is great! They have a perfect location right by the beach, it's beautiful. They have a full bar with craft cocktails and always have great bartenders. The good menu is elevated bar food, and they have some vegan options. Overall a great place!

Tropics Cocktail Bar, Cocoa Beach, FL- 1-Star "I tend to stay away from the big tourist traps." - A. Wersching Taking my eyes from the road for a brief second, I glanced down at my random name generator nestled in the center counsel of the Big Boy Mobile. It hadn't changed since I pulled out of my driveway. I was still destined for a meal at Hollywood & Vine or Times Square. That's right, I was headed for ground zero for tourist hell. I reckon that approximately 90% of the humans I saw are from out of town. I have to mention that it is a good thing I only rate execution of foodstuffs in my reviews as this place was a swill purveyor. I haven't been to a place this filthy since long before COVID made everyone and their mama germ-a-phoebes. My waitress/bartender was Amber and she appeared as grungy and repulsive as the surroundings. Her service was as poor as her attitude. I always wonder how sour wait staff impact the review. I always try to remove horrid service from my review but I must admit Amber is probably the WORST waiter in Brevard County After glancing at the menu I was struck by the interesting flavor combinations represented and, in spite of the surroundings, I was looking forward to sampling the offerings from their kitchen. To that end, I asked Amber for a single malt whiskey--neat and four sliders, two with cheese and garlic aioli and two Caribbean pork with guava BBQ sauce. After 238 days of not drinking and staring at such a generous, beautiful pour of whiskey, it was hard to pass, but pass I did. Forcing my eyes from the whiskey glass, I concentrated on the food before me, snapped a few pictures and commenced dining. First up on the Big Boy's discerning palate were the aforementioned cheese and garlic aioli sliders. The aioli was the blandest aioli I have yet tasted (read plain mayo tasting). The meat was cooked properly, though nothing spectacular jumped out at me. These sliders, despite how well they read in the menu, were below average. Moving on to the item that really peaked my inquisitiveness, the Caribbean pork sliders with guava BBQ sauce. While like its predecessor, these buns were grilled (my favorite), I am fairly certain that the pork was microwaved. It just had that microwaved texture. As bland as the garlic aioli was, I found these to be the better of the two however terrible. Both plates came with fries and slaw. The fries were plug and play, but they were cooked properly and seasoned--huge props for that. The slaw was also very nice, not top shelf, but obliviously not the bottom of the barrel foodservice sludge either. While I found the place lacking, I am sure the typical drunk tourist would love it. The Big Boy says, "unless your cruising for drunk tourists, I would avoid this dump." #bigboydiningout #bigboy

I have been meaning to come here!! I come to cocoa beach every weekend and barely had a drink here, today! Really love how this bar is set up, very open for bar sitting / tables. Such beautiful drinks - made by great bartenders! Love that you can take on the go. I got the Caesar spears and added shrimp. Light app and it was so worth it!! I will keep coming!

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Apparently, the Yelp Skynet a.k.a. the AI that green or red flags reviews, doesn't like the actual name of this pub despite the fact it is the pub's name. Ergo, I will use the abbreviation VI for the remainder of this review. Besides that, you really can't go wrong going to any of the pubs in Historic Cocoa Village. VI is one of the pubs on the eastern side of the Village, in between the famous Fat Donkey's Ice Cream and the furthest east pub in the village, Ryan's. Appearance-wise, the outside fits primarily with the building, but there are some minute details that give it its own personality, primarily around its name. There is also a section of the road and sidewalk that have been garrisoned for VI as outdoor seating and games such as bean bag toss. Indoors, it is definitely your kinda pub that many of the patrons are friends. The right side (East) have long tables with many pub and drinking games such as Hook & Ring and Shut The Box. There is a bookshelf filled to the brim with board games in case patrons prefer traditional or childhood classics. The left side (West) is the "Patio," a room that is decorated by numerous plants, neon lighting, widker and a black-and-white checkerboard floor. Finally, the middle of the pub is the actual bar, in the form of an L-shape serving a nice arrangement of beers from many breweries, cideries, distilleries, and meaderies across the United States. I had the Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale by Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co. Other beer selections I would recommend include the Pineapple Cider by the famous Carib Brewing Co. and the Mango Cart by Golden Road Brewing. Personal note on the latter: Mango Carts, well for me, only taste good when straight from the tap. Cans are not good. And the food, it is minimal, but boy does VI know how to tug at my heartstrings as everything they have features, or could feature, cheese. They have pretzels with cheese, pickles with cheese, and my personal favorite, grilled cheese sandwiches. And for the more sophisticated patron, they have numerous choices in charcuterie boards, too. I will also state the drink prices are a bit on the high side compared to some other places I been to. And there are two restrooms that are single-serving and gender-specific. I don't believe the latter has to be gender-specific because they are single-serving. The barn doors are an interesting choice because they are not very good at blocking sound. I guess that is why VI blasts the music so nobody can hear the flatulence. Speaking of music, VI does have a small corner stage for small acts, possibly singular, to perform. Unless there is a pull-out large stage for outdoor performances, I don't see big bands, per se in higher number of members, performing here unless they can all jam in that tight-spaced stage. Ultimately, I am going to give VI three-out-of-five stars for this review. They are a solid pub that has all the fixin's of a good bar to go to. Maybe it is safe to say they really don't stand out too much, especially amongst the more unique bars in Historic Cocoa Village. But still, a good place to have a drink with friends with that "Everybody knows your name" kinda vibe.

The decor is nice, and there's even a small beer garden out back, but what's truly important is the beer. When we arrived we were greeted by the beer tender who told us that he had only four beers on tap, and of those four, THREE were guest taps of commercially-available beer, and the other was a barley wine (which is actually not a wine, but a beer often as strong as many wines) and is not as "mainstream" as many stouts, porters, ales, lagers and IPA's. We'd traveled out of our way to visit this brewery and were understandably disappointed by their lack of house-brewed beer. The bartender mentioned that the brewer had a health-related concern and hadn't brewed for a while. I wish the brewer well, and hope he/she recovers quickly, but if you're a beer enthusiast and are considering a visit, call beforehand and ask what's on the tap list!

Burger came out over done, with the entire bottom bun completely soaked in juice. It basically fell apart by the end of the meal. I will say the fries were really good but for $45 with a tip FOR ONE PERSON this place is way over priced for what you get. I also thought my service was just okay as well.
