I enjoyed one of their NA mocktails which was delightful (low hanging fruit was the name) and hubs enjoyed a vodka based cocktail called waste management, served in a mini trash can! We were worried it would be too sweet and Summer convinced us otherwise. Hubs said it was balanced, not too sweet, and refreshing... anything but garbage! Went to The Alibi for happy hour during a port stop at Port Canaveral. It's a cool bar, with dim lighting, old school furniture, and excellent service. My wife and I sat at the bar, where the bartender was enthusiastic about taking our orders. We ordered drinks, the French and an Old Fashioned. They were so good, we ordered a second round, and the bartender even added smoke to my old fashioned with a blowtorch. We also got most of the food on the happy hour menu, including the Mussels, fish dip, and lettuce wraps. The mussels were on the small side but tasty, especially at $8 for an order. The fish dip was also good, but my favorite were the lettuce wraps. The ground beef was seasoned well and the butter lettuce was fresh. I would definitely come regularly if i were a local. read more

They had a huge cocktail menu with reasonable prices and a variety of drinks. It was a Saturday night and it was BUSY but we were able to find a spot at the bar. The bartender was attentive and friendly, he made us feel welcome even though he was very busy. We did not eat but the food items that we did see looked great. I forget the name of the drink I got but it was similar to an old fashioned and my BF got a mezcal drink that was on their online menu but not in print and the bartender still made it for him. Sadly, because there isn't the largest audience for craft cocktails, in Cocoa Beach, they do a lot of the more "beach bar" stuff to get by. When you turn them loose though, on their classic cocktails, and ask the bartenders for their creations, you get some pretty awesome drinks. Food? More of a mixed bag. The charcuterie board is okay. The place, nearby, that doesn't have a full bar, but does charcuterie, has them beat, on that one. The kitchen isn't their real strength, although, with a little work, it could be. The happy hour food offerings were different than what we read online and were pretty heavy on the dips. So we had the fish dip which was good. The smokiness of the mezcal paired with the chartreuse and fruity foam... wowza. If you are a fan of aesthetically pleasing drinks in Instagrammable containers, the Waste Management drink should be on your list! It comes in a mini-size trash bin and presented with a cinammon stick and lime garnish. Their charcuterie board is filled with pita, cheeses, cured meats, candied walnuts, and some of the best honey I've ever had. So glad I got a chance to stop by this cocktail bar before we left Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach. We had a situation with our Lyft getting into a car accident with us in the car, ridiculous. Lucky us because they weren't our first choice. NO TVs. That is a good thing. Come here to disconnect for a bit. Talk to the bar manager who is a younger, thinner version of me with great hair haha. The charcuterie board was rockin. It was huge and presented with care. Wine was great. The place has an interesting history. Stop in, grab a drink and a bite, and speak to the staff about it. Went here on a couples & cocktails night with some friends without having been here before, but looking for a "cocktail" place. We were blown away! The sleepy beachy Space Coast area is seriously lacking in places like this. The vibe was great, the interior was speakeasy spot on, the service was exceptional, the drinks were perfect, and the food matched with what you want with cocktails in hand. We all had a great time. One drink was ordered that wasn't to the person's liking, but the waitress and bartender were so accommodating with a no-cost replacement and recommendations that we never missed a beat worrying about it. We saw the outdoor area in the back, but we were seated inside (it looked nice, but I wonder what it's really like in August out there). We were there ~3 hrs, which is super easy to do. You'll drink them easily so, with food, your bill may surprise you. Just keep in mind that you're getting quality drinks and service and not 2-for-1 Bud Lights and quarter wings at one of the other nearby establishments and you'll be fine. Parking is limited on the street nearby, but there is a parking garage within walking distance. Locals will be able to figure out where else to park, but I'm not sharing my personal tips & tricks and losing my secret parking spot! read more

Went here with some girl friends for apps while on vacation. The building its self is super cute - kind of a feminine speakeasy vibe. They have a smaller apps and dinner menu with an extensive cocktail menu. I had a Paloma which was good, a bit on the sour side. For apps we ordered 2 bruschetta plates and a mushroom truffle flatbread. Service was great until after we ordered our food. We sat with empty drinks wanting to order more and waited over 30 minutes for our apps. The table next to us sat down, ordered, and ate within the time of us waiting for our food. We finally got our food - the bruschetta was flavor less and the bread was stale. The flatbread was actually quite delicious- I would eat it again. After not seeing our waitress for almost an hour we stopped a different waiter and explained our server never came back and wanted our tabs; my friends were pretty unhappy. We received our tabs from a manager who apologized for the server... great but not a single sever check on us in almost an hour even when they saw us with empty drinks looking around for service. However, I am determined to seek out the hidden gems among the countless fly-by-night tourist traps. Why? Because that's the kind of guy I am. Also, I like to eat, drink, and be merry and get my thrills from discovering delightfully delivered delicacies. So, implored by some of my dear readers to give another outlet on Florida's #10 Party Beach a try, I ended up at The Alibi Cocktails & Bites, and I'm glad I did. Space Coast history buffs will love that the original Alibi Bar was the first business to be given a business license in Cocoa Beach when it opened at this location in the 1950s. In those days, it was reportedly a hot spot for astronauts, local celebrities, and barbermongers. Today, the Alibi is a quaint locale for kicking off a date night or hobnobbing with the "in crowd." Or you could venture in alone and imagine Major Nelson and Jeannie sipping Whiskey Sours at a cozy booth in the corner. The bar of the Alibi is stunning, with indigo and red up lighting adding a chic mystique. I LOVE the ambiance of this bar. Truly cool with tons of craft cocktails. Unfortunately, I am fighting to stay sober, otherwise I would be all over the Sazerac. If I could drink heavily, I would gladly come here on the reg. But as I approach 57, I need to either give up the booze or go easy on the food; and well, the Big Boy ain't quittin' food. Of the seven deadly sins, my favorite is gluttony. Luckily, this place is called, "The Alibi Cocktails & BITES," and I'm ready to sample some savories. Joe the barkeep is a friendly guy. He looks like he was headed to another gig and got roped into tending bar. But I'm impressed that he is prompt despite a full bar and a wall separating us. From the Small Plates, I choose the Ahi Tuna Stack, a layered delight of ginger-garlic Ahi tuna, avocado, wasabi vinaigrette cucumbers, sesame-siracha aioli, sesame seeds, micro cilantro, and crunchy chow mein noodles. To the great presentation, freshness, and pleasing taste, I say, "Bravo." Of the Flatbreads, I go with the Pork Belly, containing pork belly, Gorgonzola cheese, pears, pecans, pickled red onions, balsamic drizzle, and rosemary-infused olive oil. Let's be honest, flatbread anything is a corner-cutting dish, but if I sat at this gorgeous bar guzzling potent potables all day this tangy amiable dish would hit the spot for round five of day drinking.
