We have not been here in over 10 years, and sadly it's not as good as we remembered :( Ambiance 4 stars! The ambiance was fun, good vibes, tiki feel, nice covered patio and seating. Service 4 stars: We brought our dog and sat at the patio. The waitress was nice, and brought our dog some fresh water in a dog bowl. The food also came quickly. Food 2 stars... sadly! We were both very disappointed with the quality and taste of the food. We ordered the "NY Style Pizza"... it was not NY style, the crust was too thick. It looked and tasted like a frozen pizza... way overpriced! My "Fresh Catch of the Day" mahi mahi did not taste fresh and was overcooked.. very tuff! Super disappointed at every bite. Drinks... this was a toss up! My Lava Flow was tasty, but my husband's draft beer tasted like the line hasn't been cleaned out for a while. Sadly, I will not be coming back, unless it was for just drinks not from the tap. read more

We landed at Sandbar on trivia night and had a blast. Service was quick. The place was packed and other folks were friendly. Drinks were strong and prices were reasonable. The service was great. Our server was very quick and friendly. This place is an absolute beach bar decorated appropriately. They have plenty of TV's for all the games Come relaxed, thirsty and hungry. We had the peel and eat shrimp and the nachos. Both were great. The nachos were stacked real high. My only complaint is that the live music was way too loud. I love live music but not at the expense to great conversation. read more

What a fun place! Right on the beautiful Atlantic Ocean! A fun place for all the NFL Sunday fans to come together and just have a blast. Did not partake in the Cat 5 hurricane drink, but did hear wonderful things about it. Sweet tea was very refreshing. The drinks my friends had were very reasonably priced. I did have the delicious conch fritters. They were very different from the normal fritters as these were much flatter but still tasty. Did have a wonderful shrimp taco. It was absolutely PERFECT! The atmosphere is quite loud but very fun. The servers were completely on top of all the tables and customers. Cannot wait to come back! read more

Whenever I am in town for a visit, Sandbar is a must visit for me. I love the vibe, always live music and a huge crowd. The staff are always so attentive and friendly even when it is so busy. They have great options for shareable items and obsessed with their non-alcoholic piña colada. Inside and outdoor seating available. Parking lots are located directly behind the restaurant as well as across the street. Free parking after 7pm. Restrooms are located when you first enter from the frontside of the restaurant. read more

I went with family to Sandbar Sports Grill to watch a football game. We all shared an order of their Collosal Onion Rings and an order of their Alligator Tail. Then we all also shared a large BBQ Chicken Pizza. Everything was delicious! Waitress was great! She was very attentive to our table and also she graciously turned the tv to the Hawkeye football game that we wanted to watch. I loved their awesome patio and seating options around their bar. We like to visit this place whenever we are in town on vacation. It has been a few years since we came last. The food is always very tasty. Some honorable mentions include their tacos, wraps, burritos, and salads. We love the outdoor seating. The service is also very friendly. However this time around we did wait over an hour for our food, so just keep this in mind. Definitely recommend giving it a try. read more

This place is a great hangout spot steps away from the beach. You can hear the waves crashing while enjoying your food and drinks. It's family friendly until about 8pm. Well here I'm hitting a small spot with a punch. I stop after spending a day at Cape Canaveral and this place was not a disappointment. This has become a family favorite. The service is always TOP TIER! It is always a bit loud and chaotic but in a good way. The food has always hit good. Definitely get that fried shrimp basket. 10/10 every time. My only wish is that they had tartar sauce. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because sometimes the atmosphere can be a little overwhelming but it is still a good time. I will always go back! read more

Seat yourself and have a good time. Great service, food and drinks. They even had a live band on a Saturday afternoon. Gator tacos were sooooo good!! Loved the chipotle sauce in them. Rice and beans & the plantains were good too. There's parking across the street. Just remember your parking spot # so you can pay at station. This has been a great spot to go for many years. There are 2 bars inside, lots of seating, bands all the time, and most importantly, Yo. She's been there for many many years and continues to kick butt at her job! The smoked fish dip and the queso with beef are the best apps to get there. read more

Went here last night because their crab legs are $10 off on Friday's and Corona's are $3.50. The food was so good and fresh, would definitely go here again. Driving through town and we decided to stop at Sandbar because we remembered it was cute, lively, and served a full menu of food and drinks. (Last time we visited it was just for drinks.). It was a Thursday in March, around 3:00, and already very busy. It had a good mix of beach-goers,, locals, and tourists. The place is airy with open entrances on the street side and the beach side with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There are bumper stickers and cute beach-themed and bar signs everywhere. Fun to read! We seated ourselves and were quickly approached by a server. ( I believe her name was Peyton.). We ordered some cold beers, (extensive bar menu,) and perused the food menu. I ordered the Tostado Salad with chicken. It was absolutely delicious! Lots of fresh lettuce and tomato with black beans and grilled chicken cooked to perfection. I did order some cilantro-lime dressing which I was surprised they charged me $.75 for because the salad was a little dry without dressing, but the dressing added the perfect touch. The green tostado shell-bowl was really good too. My husband had the fish sandwich with French fries. He said that it was really tasty as well. It was very fresh and he particularly liked the jalapeño sauce that came with it. We visit Cocoa Beach occasionally; but drive through on our way to Daytona a few times a year. With a full bar, yummy food,, good service, and reasonable prices we will definitely be visiting the Sandbar restaurant more often.....highly recommend! Fun place! read more

It's a huge sports bar! Love this local joint where I could get my pina colada and hubby got a cold draft beer. You seat yourself and we got a great spot at the bar. The bartender was awesome and friendly. Great music too! Another cool thing about this place is that they have their own parking lot so you can pay for parking before you head over and you get the amount of the parking off your bill. We tried to see the Delta 4 rocket lift off towards the end of our outing there but the takeoff was delayed. If I was a local, this would be my fav spot! read more

Is this a kind of divey beach restaurant with slightly overpriced food? Sure. Is it also the perfect spot for your beach day, especially with kids? 100% yes. Met a girlfriend and her kids here for lunch before heading to the beach. We nabbed a picnic table outside that ended up being perfect for our large group that included 6 restless kiddos. The kids menu was pretty extensive and all of them loved their food. The waitress didn't bat an eye at our large group, which I appreciated. I got the mahi wrap w/ fries and it was perfect for a beach day-- filling but not heavy and the fries were slightly crispy and perfectly seasoned. Super yummy. I also got their tropicolada which was delicious and refreshing. There's a parking lot behind the restaurant sandwiched between beach access and the restaurant itself, so a perfect transition. I also spied access to the restaurant from our spot on the beach, so it's a perfect beachy experience. Can't wait to come back!! read more

And the blond woman whom I presume to be a manager spoke to the couple behind us to ask if everything and she ignored us as well. This must be a local thing. Visiting? Skip it. We stopped in on our walk to the pier. We had the pretzel rods. They said six but it was actually three cut in half so don't be upset by that. Lol lol. We also had the chips and salsa for 3.99 and a margarita and beers. Good spot to stop although the happy hour specials start at 4 PM which we missed by about four hours. read more

Avoid this place if your disability requires a service animal. I showed up last night with a fully documented and credentialed service animal. I was denied access because of the dog. I went around to the outdoor bar where I have seen many dogs on previous visits. I was able to get a drink, and then "Nick" the bouncer showed up and told me to get my dog off of the property. I asked him where the property line was, and he indicated a point, literally, 18" from where my professionally trained service dog was lying. I moved the dog the required 18". I have never been so insulted by redneck bar backs in my life. I'll be filing a complaint with the ADA/Department of Justice tomorrow. I used to like this place. I'll never go there again and will imcite as much federal wrath as I can direct. This is the most blatant, overt, and hostile action I have ever witnessed against the disabled. read more

Sandbar has always been one of our favorite places to visit in cocoa beach for the past 5 years since we started coming down from Ohio. The food is tasty, consistent and service is usually fair. The only reason I am not giving the full 5stars is because we felt uncomfortable the other night when we got drinks from the bar outside around 11:15 and then sat at a table. When our waitress finally came around 20 min later the first thing she said was "do you have a tab at the bar? Because if so you need to close it." It wasn't a warm and friendly welcoming and we said never mind and we will order from the bar and sit there. We did receive good service from blonde bartender at the big bar outside and ended up having a great night. We understand servers have assigned sections but I think the server could have been more welcoming. read more

The Manager and/or Owner is a feckless, Obtuse, miserable prick who enjoys chatting up the female customers and dissing the regular male customers by refusing to let them run a tab. This Halloween we went up there for a 10:00 pm costume contest at 9:15 spending $30 and having to go back to work AM Thursday and the idiot either running or I think owning the place just arbitrarily moved the costume judging contest an hour later thereby eliminating people that have to go to work in the morning. This place sucks off of a few locals and mainly tourists that don;t know any better. Best you spend your money elsewhere because just a location near the beach (you can't actually see the Atlantic from the bar...it a parking lot) makes this p;ace a waist of time in the long run. read more

The bouncer called the cops on me as I left and reported me as a drunk driver. We were leaving on our own, not being thrown out in any way. We were in the parking lot minding our own biz, and getting ready to go, and the door moron came over, shouted obscenities in front of my 2 daughters and proceeded to call in my tag) This was after we spent over $100. The bar manager, Scott seemed to be running some kind credit card scam where he wanted to keep our credit card before we got our food. This has never happened in the 5 years I have come here so we knew it was a scam. Don't trust this guy - pay cash and check your credit cards. We came on Saturday night leaving for a cruise on Sunday on the recommendation of a local we met at the hotel. We came to try the shrimp tacos which were amazing! But we stayed till they closed because of the band that was playing. Fundecided. Great show. We danced all night. The mahi Reuben was a complete disaster. The bread was so soggy and waterlogged that it literally fell apart. It wasn't just bad, it was inedible. Who knew that sour kraut must be at a premium when it wasn't even added. Any kitchen, or server, with even the slightest standards would have thrown it in the trash, along with the cold soggy fries. Instead, it was served without a second thought. The most frustrating part is that this isn't a one-time experience and seems to be more the norm than the exception. The kitchen has been going downhill for a while with LONG wait times and mediocre food and it seems that nobody is interested in fixing it. Orders take forever, quality continues to decline and the response from staff seems to range from indifference to excuses. A restaurant doesn't survive for decades because of its building or location. It survives because of loyal customers. I've know Pineda through many owners, it now feels like management is relying entirely on a reputation that was earned decades ago while doing very little to maintain it. After almost 30 years, this was the worst experience I've ever had here. An hour wait for two sandwiches, and inedible meal, and the only explanation being "it's not my fault." Maybe that's the problem. Everyone has an excuse, but nobody has a solution. At this point, the biggest disappointment isn't the food, it's the overwhelming feeling that nobody cares. And it's sad, as I've met the owners at their other establishment - I expect and deserve better - especially at $17 FOR A SANDWICH!!!

We, my brother and I, were there for dinner and our focus was food. We ordered cheeseburgers. My was order, medium, and my brothers was medium rare. Both burgers came out, displayed perfectly. They tasted very good. The french fries were french fries with no special taste. They were fresh and crunchy to our liking. Overall, the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere. The service was good. The restaurant needs a little bit of fixing up.
