Oxtail with yellow rice and plantains
    Gizela T.

Big portion sizes and tasty food. It was really hard to decide what to get. I got the oxtail with yellow rice and plantains. The pepper sauce was super yummy and a nice addition to the yuca fries. They kept on turning on and off the lights. I heard this place turns into a club. The drinks were decent and so was the customer service.

Guyanese beer, now brewed in Barbados. Great taste.

This is definitely something different in Schenectady. Cuisine of the city's diverse Guyanese, Jamaican and Spanish Cultures. I've lived in this town 33 years. They make a kick ass Mohito, can compete with the best of Miami. But if you want something more New York, they make a Manhatten. But its a full service bar with a generous pour. Tried the Jamaca Jerk Chicken, its hot, its good served on a bed of Lo Mien. Prices are reasonable. Portions are generous. The owners daughter was the bar tender. Gather the place is jumping on Friday nights with current top 40 DJ, and Saturday with Latin nights. The facility is basic, was an Auto Parts store in its last life. But definitely has the feel of Little Cuba. I will be back.

Mediocre service. Called ahead an hour and entrees were not ready. Will not be ordering for an event here again.

Bread and Apps: The roti mmmm mmmm! Dinning Area: Pretty Small, and cramped. A little drafty. Prices: Relatively cheap. 2 Roti, goat and chicken w rice, and a couple of drinks I got away for $44. Parking: Plenty of space, private lot. Bathrooms: Bathrooms were clean and smaller in size. Atmosphere: During the weekday Dinner rush, pretty slow, I did not wait long. Staff/Attendants: Not very talkative. Nice and quick. Awesome experience wish my wife and I had our anniversary dinner here, I will be back! 8/10

A fried rice with jerk chicken cost $16, which is ridiculously high, especially since I'm coming from Queens. But, I figured that the food was probably THAT good and let it go. As I ran through the menu while on the phone with my mom, the employees kept looking at each other and then at me. When I asked about cookup rice, I received a subtle attitude and saw the workers exchange looks yet again. Needless to say, the stares and attitude I received immediately threw me off as I would have purchased regardless of the price. However, I left without purchasing anything and will definitely not return there. Some advice: Don't give your customers dirty stares and exchange looks with your coworkers IN FRONT OF the customers.

The businesses are located a couple of blocks from the gateway marking the entrance to Schenectady's Little Italy. So much history, food and romance in this neighborhood. We had Sunday brunch at More Perreca's. The bakery is closed on Sunday but I got a Sausage Lettuce Tomato sandwich served on toasted Perreca's bread. It was so delish. The Italian sausage was served with lettuce, tomato, roasted garlic puree, mayo and side salad. Everything was so fresh. My $11 meal was reasonably priced. The garlic purée was amazing. They need to bottle it. I'd buy some. My friend had the Mac and cheese and an espresso martini. He loved both. Rachelle was our server. She was wonderful. Very helpful. She explained some of the menu to me because there were a number of Italian sausage dishes. The food was prepared quickly which was great because we were hungry. Rachelle came back later to check on us. I gave her a thumbs up and a smile while busily chewing a bite of sandwich. The restaurant is charming with nice tin ceilings and big windows to let the light in. There are many booths which makes it cozy. When we arrived most of the tables were full. Based on the chatter in the room it sounded as though a lot of friends had gathered at the restaurant to literally break bread over brunch. The menu offers a nice variety: from egg breakfasts, assorted salads to Italian classics. It was an all around yummy and enjoyable experience. I let Rachelle know that we'll be coming back.

Every table around us? Wild vibes. Plates stacked like skyscrapers, people laughing, yelling, living their best family life -- basically a full-on Italian festival. The Hostess was SUPER friendly and she never stopped working - cleaning tables and checking with guests to be sure everything was satisfactory. The waiter, Gregg, was very attentive and friendly. He did a great job The food was terrific! I ordered Pasta Bolognese and it was absolutely the best I have ever had. Magnificent sauce. My wife ordered "street tacos" and they were great. stuffed with wonderful ingredients - including shrimp. This trip as a perfect experience and we shall return. (sorry the pasta photo is not great. It looked so good I ate quite a bit before I remembered to take a photo)

I've been to Innovo Kitchen in Latham several times over the years and I've enjoyed it every time. They have a unique menu that changes periodically, but I always find something that catches my eye. The interior has an industrial feel which I like, with a lot of exposed brick. The tables are made from old bowling lane wood, which is a really cool touch. When you walk in there is also a bowling pin displayed in a glass case. I remember there being a bowling alley somewhere in that plaza when I was a kid, so it seems likely the building has some history tied to that. The tables are also nice and large, which makes the dining experience more comfortable. Tonight I ordered the Monte Cristo burger which is described as battered Buckley's Bread sourdough, a 6 oz special grind burger, Taylor pork roll, Swiss, and Twin Leaf Farms maple aioli. It was quite tasty and I really enjoyed the hint of maple syrup flavor on the burger. The crinkle cut fries that came with it were also very good. Another person in our party ordered the White Chicken Parmesan, described as a crisp chicken cutlet topped with ricotta and garlic spinach and fresh mozzarella, with garlic parmesan cream and lumache pasta. They said it was delicious. Someone else had the Crispy Skin Salmon and enjoyed that as well. A child at our table ordered macaroni with red sauce. The portion was surprisingly large and they liked it, which is impressive because they are particularly finicky. For dessert we ordered something we've had here several times before, the peanut butter mud pie. It's basically ice cream in pie form with an Oreo cookie crust and chocolate fudge. It's very tasty and also a generous portion. At the end of your meal they also offer everyone at the table a tasty piece of gourmet chocolate. One thing that really stood out tonight was the attentiveness of the management. Two different managers stopped by our table at different times to check and make sure everything was good. I recognized one of them because I've seen him there before and he always seems to make a point of checking in with guests. The other person had seated us so I initially thought she was the hostess, but after she stopped by during the meal I asked if she was a manager and she confirmed that she was. I mentioned that I was impressed that two different managers had checked on us, and that every time I've dined there a manager has stopped by to make sure everything was good. I thanked her and told her it was appreciated. During the summer and fall they also have a very nice patio area for outdoor dining. On cooler nights they have heaters and a fireplace which makes it a great place to sit outside. I will definitely return here again in the future. 5 stars
