This place is a life-saver (in the glam department that is of course lol) I was leaving town on a last minute work trip earlier this week where a dress was required for an event. Seeing how it's not beach season, my legs were white as a ghost. New to the area, I looked up tanning places near me and after reading reviews choose this one, thank goodness! They were so helpful in making sure my skin looked like I just returned from Maui in a matter of minutes. I also was introduced to a great at home self tanner to use as maintenance that is natural AND paraben free! The staff was so sweet and welcoming, trust me I've been to a few in LA where the staff is so snobby and cold as ice. Also they have red light therapy which I have heard great things about. Tropitana has been my go-to tanning spot for years. It's a great salon with a really relaxing atmosphere. The Mystic tans come out perfect. I always get one before a vacation. The beds are good too, I use them from time to time to maintain color. Very clean and very accessible. read more

I love this place! I don't usually write reviews but I need to write about Tropitana. I'm very fair and take a long time to tan so for summer and special occasions I get spray tans. I also have some serious scar and fascia issues from a previous injury and was so excited when I found out Tropitana has red-light therapy too. If you don't know anything about Red-light therapy look it up. It is incredibly healing, helps reduce inflammation and free-radicals, boosts collagen formation ...etc etc...I am a nurse so cleanliness is of top importance to me. Tropitana is the whole package. It is clean, affordable, service is excellent (Lauren the owner is the nicest and easiest person to talk to)! It's so nice to walk into a place and feel so comfortable. Highly recommended. read more

I had a great experience here today. It's been years since I've tanned and I have a cruise coming up so I stopped in here on my lunch break. The woman there was SO nice and SO helpful in giving me advice on how to best get the tan I want before cruise time! She even suggested to me a discount package they had, and how I should schedule them before my trip. Also, I've been to places where you had to buy/bring your own goggles, but they had both goggles and hair ties available. Great place with great prices too! read more

I was searching for a good tanning salon that also had Mystic tans in the area and found Tropitana. The prices are great and the employees are very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. The salon is clean and there are plenty of beds so you never have to wait and if you do it isn't very long. I was also very pleased that they offer Red Light Therapy as well. The owner Lauren is so friendly! I go in maybe once a month and she always remembers me, asks how things are, and best of all is NOT pushy with her sales. I love this place! I was recommended by a friend and started coming here every now and then. I got to know the owner between coming here and her coming to my work and she is the SWEETEST!! Meant not coming here on a regular basis we usually talk a little before and after to get to know each other. I notice, though, that the "regulars" walk in and go to their usual room. It is unfortunate that now whenever I pass this tanning shop on my way to work that I no longer think, "Yay how convenient. I need to try it someday!" But rather, "Wow I am never going back THERE again!" The reason for this poor rating was not even the fact that I can get the same tan in Hollywood for exactly $7 less but more to do with the rude and downright chilly behavior I received from the rather young female at the front desk. If I had to guess, she seemed spoiled and forced to work there and very unhappy with it. It was my first time as a customer and I was very nice to her but she wouldn't budge. She wasn't just unfriendly, she was plain mean. Being that I am somewhat of a tanning newbie I did have a few questions but the girl at the front desk made me feel awkward about this and as I was leaving she didn't even thank me or act act professional in any way. I would have gone back even though the prices are really high because it was near work. Now I will never go back because first impressions stick I guess. They need to pick friendlier people to work here because those things do matter when it comes to where you spend your money. read more

They provide the BEST customer service here. I always want a clean and decent looking salon, but service always outranks the wallcovering and artwork. They provide BOTH. The Manager is AMAZING, friendly, courteous and always personable. In addition, her staff are SUPER sweet and professional, not to mention accommodating. amazing, FAST results. got the unlimited one month uv tanning package for the regular/high intensity bed one week ago and i've only tanned 5 times(im SO fair skinned) and i hardly burned the first session and now i have a gorgeous golden glow and i am so pleased! no peeling, no white spots, i'm so happy and can't wait to see how tan i am at the end of the month. the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and make you happy to be there. i'm from bakersfield and the tanning salons there have nothing on Tropitana! happy, tan girl!:) read more

I love that I never get that orangy color from the spray or get burned in the beds. I purchased a one-month, use as often as you like, pass for Red Light Therapy at Tropitana. Have only used a week of it, but already feel it is helping my skin. One of the main reasons I wanted to try it was for a little rosacea I have on my face. I love the relaxed feeling you get when you've finished a treatment, and at 15 minutes each time, it's easy to fit into your schedule. The owner, Lauren, is great. She and her staff are very knowledgeable and really make you feel comfortable. They also offer a $28 'mystic tan' application, and have a 2 for 1 offer at the moment. Can't beat that!
