Best place to shop for all your needs! Clothing, furniture, books, frames and more The people here are wonderful very helpful and nice! The prices are very good and the quality of items is great.

. "We don't wrap furniture ". After debating they did secure the drawers so they didn't fly out during transport

Manager very rude. Items damaged from their loaders and items left that they forgot to load bring out to be loaded left at store. Didn't find out until I drove 45 min. Dinning set that I purchased wasn't able to be disassembled due to rust and condition of bolts. Wasn't aware of this before I purchased. Table top was glass so it probably wouldn't make it that far assembled on back of a truck. I asked for refund on items left at store and the dinning set. They refused. No refund policy???? Wow. The items never left the store. I asked for a store credit, refused that also. I have spent thousands of dollars to this place helping clients who need furniture. These expenses came from my personal money. I shopped here because I support the cause and as a Mental Health And Substance Abuse Professional I have several clients as I'm trying to aide in their recovery. I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism by a few of the loading crew and one of the managers (Marilyn) something like that. Sarcastic and nonchalant about the experience and the amount of money I had spent in 24 hours. I furnished an entire apartment $600! I know several organizations and individuals who donated there also to support the cause. I don't think ppl would donate as much if they knew how they price gauge, damage inventory after sold and keep the money from customers refusing refund, store credits, or even taking responsibility. No apology was ever given. Smh. I will take the lost but I will NEVER spend another dollar there. I will definitely share my experience with the donators that I am acquainted with. There is another item not pictured that was also left in the store that they didn't bring out to loading.

I rarely write reviews, but this place deserves one. Please excuse my length. They went above and…read morebeyond for me, but did so in a way that makes me believe they would do the same for any customer that walks in the door. After this experience, I know where all of mine and my businesses printing and framing needs will be taken care of from now on. Here it is: The Print Shop handled a couple important projects and needed them done quickly, and they delivered. I came in with three prints, all distinctly different. One was a signed photo of five living presidents, which they helped me create a custom frame for. The photo, a gift for my roommate, is one of a kind in terms of dimensions, and I had been all over the place trying to get a frame for it unsuccessfully. Not only were they able to build the frame I needed, they added a beautiful red, white, and blue backdrop. My roommate absolutely loved his gift. The Print Shop staff were so curious about the photo and genuinely engaging in talking about it. The second was a print for my business, which I needed put on canvas to display in the lobby. I get compliments all the time on the print, so again, all credit is due to them. The third item may be the most important in forming my opinion of The Print Shop. It was a gag gift for a gift exchange, so I just needed a good frame, but not too expensive of one. I picked one out that I liked and we started to measure the dimensions. I was fully prepared to pay for the frame I had picked out (somewhere around $55 I think). Once the measurements were done, Becky, the employee helping me with all of this, stopped me and said she had an idea. She went to the clearance rack and found me a frame that worked. It wasn't as nice as the one we had originally picked out, but once she realized it was for a gag gift, she encouraged me away from the custom frame and we found one that worked for about $20. This showed me that above all, Becky was concerned with meeting my needs, not simply making the sale. Bottom line - it is clear that this business is run by and full of people who love what they do, and those are the kinds of companies I enjoy bringing my business to.

I couldn't be happier with the job the Frame & Print Shop did for me! The staff were genuinely…read moreinterested in my project and are clearly experts at their craft. I brought in three prints, each in a different color palette, that I wanted coordinated to hang in my kitchen. Ash was a great listener and spent a lot of time matching just the right matte color to the content and finding a frame that brought them together and made them look like they belonged in that particular room. I love how they look!

Wow. As if the available traditional-medium art in the Triangle is not enough, there's also a…read moregallery dedicated to electronic-medium art of the camera. I thought having books of pictures would be a reasonable facsimile of the seeing the actual photograph. It's like any art form really, I thought. Through This Lens proved me wrong. Where a book can group places and concepts, a gallery has to be a bit more selective, I think. It has limited space and time to capture and keep your interest as it competes with other medium and distractions. And in downtown Durham, during a weekend festival no less, TTL managed to do it. TTL has photos from all over the world. All are visually stunning in their own way. Each with a message, sometimes subtle, sometimes not so much. One can see snippets of objects, colors, movement -- all moments in time captured by the photographer-artist. In this one small gallery you can travel the world from the reservations in Arizona to the deserts in Africa. It's a mini-vacation. The owner, Roylee was very helpful in answering my questions and explaining the technique used by a photographer of one particular picture that captured my attention. There was a color photo of a dried well, the tan walls a sharp contrast to the two women in bright saris, there at the bottom of the drying well. The description by the photographer added another layer of awesome. Another photograph, a black and white photo taken at an abandoned church in Georgia, was stunning. I probably spent fifteen minutes staring at it from every angle. It hadn't yet been hung on the wall so I was able to look at it from all angles as I walked around the table. The lines and shadows just drew me in. There was such an unexpected symmetry in that picture, it was hard to believe it wasn't computer-drawn. And so it went for my entire visit. .

Lovely but small photography art gallery and framing shop. I've only visited the shop for the…read moregallery portion and have yet get to get something framed, but it's a nice stop during any of Durham's Spring/Winter Art Walks or on Third Friday. They usually have several bottles of red and wine wines along with a complimentary cheese/bread plate for gallery guests during their special events, which is quite nice. The photography is from all over the world, many prints I'd recognize as South East Asia but there are also some lovely local Triangle photos and those for the nature enthusiast. I'd recommend putting Through This Lens on your gallery hopping list if it's convenient, but it isn't large enough and, after a handful of visits, I've never received a personal greeting to draw me back if it's out of the way. Through This Lens rents their space from Durham Arts Place, around to the right if you're facing the entrance and up the stairs.
