TROY AUTO GLASS IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY! RUN (don't walk) IN THE OTHER DIRECTION! The absolute worst customer service I have experienced, EVER. After making an appointment for 8am earlier this week (they said it should not take more than a few hours (read 11am)), I arrived this morning only to be told that many other cars are "ahead of me" and that it would be well after 12pm, likely mid afternoon. When I asked what the purpose of the appointment was...they responded in a very rude "take it or leave it" manner. So, I left! In general the office staff is rude, condescending and almost arrogant. I will never use these idiots again and strongly recommend that you avoid the hassle (and their willingness to waste your time) and take your business elsewhere. After leaving Troy Auto Glass I called a few other companies in the area. Henderson Glass was outstanding! I called them up and they were focused on getting me in NOW! I did not have to beg them. They were wonderful, polite and helpful! They ordered my new windshield from their warehouse while I was on the phone and promised that it would arrive at my desired location by 11am. The work will be done by1pm! No appointment was necessary. Keep in mind, Troy Auto Glass does not really honor appointments even though they insist that you make one. Henderson was GREAT! EXCELLENT PRICE. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I used this place because of the reviews I saw from Consumer Reports about SafeLite and it scared me. Plus I couldn't schedule anything for a week. I had a major crack spreading on my windshield and needed assistance ASAP. I spoke with Joe (yes I got his name because he was so nice) at Troy Auto who was unbelievably helpful! I live near Troy but work in Novi so I mused about getting a coworker to take me to work while I leave my car at home for them to replace the windshield (mobile repair was free). He said nonsense, Novi was pretty far for them but that they'll come out anyway and BONUS they could come out in 2 days. Welp, the technician Mike just left and my car looks exactly the same, just without the huge crack. Mike was even.here.early just in case i needed to leave work for lunch. I've had issues with auto repair places in the past so this experience was a breath of fresh air. Oh yea, best part? WAY CHEAPER THAN SAFELITE. I almost forgot to write a review until I was in my car driving down the street with such a clear view with no obstruction from my newly replaced windshield!!! THIS PLACE IS THE BEST!! My windshield was cracked for a few months & then I went to the car wash & it cracked further & therefore was no longer safe to drive in my opinion. Since I had just recently had a windshield replaced on a Range Rover & the price was so reasonable along with glass that was precisely like the original factory glass I saw no reason to go anywhere else. I made an appointment for 9:30am. I dropped my GMC Terrain off & they called me around 10:30 & said my car was ready. I was advised to wait until 10:50 or after so that the glass was fully cured & I did. When I picked my car up it was better than I remember the factory glass ever being! My new windshield is very clear & the defrost works better than ever!! The price is right & TROY AUTO GLASS blows the competition out of the water!! Had Mr. Windshield do injection repair of a rock crack to my windshield in November. Feb 27 the repair failed, resulting in a 14 inch crack across my windshield. Went back to Mr. Windshield Feb 28 for a replacement windshield and was told there were no aftermarket windshields available for my car, it would need an OEM from Toyota. Also told that they would not order a windshield from Toyota and I would need to wait about 11 weeks just to see if something might come in on the next shipment. Called my dealership who directed me to their preferred repair shop, Troy Auto Glass. Called Troy Auto Glass Feb 28, they put an OEM order to Toyota that day, did a 3 way call with me & my insurance to set up payment. Was called by Troy Auto Glass March 2 that the windshield was in and had it installed March 3. The job was done quickly and all the cameras and electronics that were attached to the windshield were aligned perfectly. Troy Auto Glass did a great job and handled everything. I have used Troy Auto Glass twice for windshield replacement. Each time the only words that adequately describe the experience are: "it just can't get any better". First, they are very professional and disclose everything you need to know; the good and the bad. Second, they deliver on their promises on such things as when the work will be done. Third, they are easy to do business with. I decided to wait and do some work because I had my computer with me. They provided me with a work space in their waiting room [cleaner than a hospital] and a WiFi connection that worked great [the first time I attempted to connect if you can believe that], and I was able to get alot done while I waited. Finally, upon completion, the car was clean and the installation of the new windshield was perfect. What a relief to get that crack out of my line of sight. What a great experience for a change. I dropped my car off on Sunday night with no appointment scheduled and left my keys in the drop box. I actually woke up Monday morning with two messages from Joe telling me that a replacement windshield was already on order (I don't think he sleeps) and the car was already indoors getting warmed up for the replacement of the windshield! He explained pricing with and without utilizing my glass coverage and even called my insurance company for me for the insurance claim (with my permission and with me on the line) to get the authorization for the repair which took only about five minutes. The new windshield looks great, mirror is on straight and they even put my oil change reminder sticker (OMG even sent the recreational park sticker back to me in the mail. How great is that?). Best service I have ever received. My car was broken into (window shattered) and I needed to get a tow to Troy Auto glass but they were closing in just 5 minutes. Joe stayed open and waited until the tow truck arrived with my car so that it could still be brought inside the building because it was going to rain that night and I didn't want my interior ruined from the rain. Additionally, Joe called that night to confirm the car was received and inside the building then called again first thing the next morning and connected me with my insurance company to help submit my claim. He went above and beyond to make sure that I felt comfortable with the work being done and that everyone involved in the process was on the same page. I cannot say enough about the effort he put into making this situation the best it could be given the circumstances. read more

Honestly, this was the best experience from a bad situation I was on my way to work on the freeway when something crashed into and partially through my windshield. Scary! Glass and water was everywhere (yes, it was raining). No idea what to do and payday was not for two day. Long story short, called insurance company and my regular repair spot, both too costly. Online for local glass repair spots found Troy Auto glass. Gave estimate over the phone, allowed someone to pay for services over the phone for me, AND did repair at my job while I still worked. Truly affordable and convenient! Everyone I dealt with was very informative and patient. Which is what I needed Hope I never have this kind of issue But if I do, it will be Troy Auto Glass. People are very friendly and nice but didn't like the work. After first installation found the leak and took it back for fix. During the second fix technician put extra epoxy such that it came out of the side molding and out to windshield. After a week I noticed that moldings are sticking out and epoxy on my windshield. SO I went third time and technician told me that molding should be fine as they are and just removed the epoxy from my windshield. They sticks out. I don't know due to that or something else but the wind noise increases so much that I am looking to get that fix since driving on free way is more annoying. read more

I visited Troy auto glass to have my front windshield replaced. on my initial phone call they conference in my insurance provider and received approval to proceed. Their staff was knowledgeable in necessary work required for my 2013 FJ Cruiser including the replacement parts that needed to be sourced from the dealership. They notified me in less than 2 days my parts were at their shop and we had an appointment scheduled. They performed the work as described in the allotted. My car window was broken while driving on the expressway. I took my vehicle in they promised me that it would be ready in a few hours and it was done in less than two. what seal the deal for me was that the staff was so friendly and accommodating. The window looked factory new. What is important to me is that I had just purchased a car less than a month ago. Very friendly and professional place. After having my windshield replaced, a seal came loose near the driver side door driving back from up north. I called them, took the car in right when I got back, and they fixed it- they were very apologetic and fixed it quickly, haven't had a problem since. Even the technician came out from the garage to apologize and explain why it happened and what he did to fix it. I especially appreciated this as it showed genuine care. I was fearful of having my windshield replaced because I have a lane assist camera and rain sensors mounted behind the rear view mirror. Dave explained how they used only factory glass (OEM) and that they both would function fine without the need for recalibration. Others wanted up to $250 on top of the cost the glass. I scheduled an appointment over the phone to get my windshield fixed because I had a pretty large crack in it. They were able to get me in the following morning. I dropped the car off, and got a call a couple hours later saying it was all set. When I returned I got the keys and was in and out. The windshield looked great! Great service and fair prices.
