The HOA board members have open ears for any and all ideas for the building, which really makes a difference in creating a cohesive community, along with having courteous neighbors. The units here are spacious, with high ceilings and beautiful finishes. Oh, and one of the best parts? Every unit has its own balcony! Eastern-facing apartments have sweeping views of the New York City skyline AND the Hudson River. Could you ask for anything better? Well, there's more: A well-equipped fitness center, an extra large playroom for children, and a huge lounge with seating, kitchen and billiards table. Oh, and a giant outdoor terrace, complete with grills, tables and chairs for summer BBQing! Wanna get across the river to NYC? No worries there, either. The people at the front desk, the valet guys, and maintenance are all really wonderful. I do not know how they can possibly personally know everyone in the building and their dogs by name but they do and it makes it really feel like home. The actual apartment is quite big for a one bedroom in this area and the amenities floor is very nice. I've spend some time in the spa room and had the chance to check out the pool once. Though the pool is small the view is so nice you can't complain and there is an indoor and outdoor hot tub. We even had a kid visit and she really enjoyed the little kids playroom. My only complaint is that the building is getting a little older so that appliances are outdated and often breaking or just not working as well as expected (our washing machine makes a ridiculously loud noise and we already had to get outside maintenance for the stove) and some of the people in the actual management office are less than friendly (but the staff up front makes up for it).

I never had a single issue while I lived there. There is a super, who resides inside the building, and he was always beyond helpful and did an amazing job. Those that oversee the additional upkeep also do an amazing job. It was truly a bittersweet moment ending this chapter of my life. I cannot recommend this building enough. It was a wonderful place to live and if you have the opportunity to live here too, you will know firsthand how fantastic a place it is to call home. During Covid, the building held the line on rents, zero during Covid and 5% when rents were going up 20% and more in Jersey City. This exemplifies how the building always prioritizes the needs of the tenants. Again, it is a truly amazing building in an extremely convenient and coveted part of Jersey City.

The super, Rocky, lives onsite and is incredibly kind, positive and always helpful. No matter the issue, he'll come fix it right away. Similarly, management is incredibly responsive and understanding. The apartment is on a beautiful tree-lined street, close to the PATH, tons of restaurants, bars and parks. I live in Estuary for a long time…read more Pros: Proximity to NYC: This place is so close to NYC with amazing bus services during the morning and evening commute. So, it takes 15 - 20 minutes to be in Port Authority if there are no traffic jam on the tunnel. Sometimes buses are busy and there is a long queue, but 3 or 4 buses come at a time and clear the queue. This building has amazing NYC views and views from some of the apartments are breath taking. Apartments: The layouts of the apartment are good with adequate closet space as well as all apartments have good natural light. And the apartments have the best appliances, especially building 3 which is new compared to other buildings. And to top it off, there is Whole Foods next door. Facilities: There are 3 gyms and they are mostly empty. All of them have the needed equipment. The only thing missing in 3 gyms is the Free Motion Smith Machine, but that is not going to be there in any of the apartment gyms. The best part if you are working from home is you can get the party room open if they are available during the week days. And there is a kid's play room which is so big with lot of toys. To top it of there is a children's park next to the apartment. People: The people in the complex are very friendly and understanding. They smile and have a small chat, which is hard to see in the NJ area. We had a baby and I asked so many questions to many residents here and they all helped us with the perfect answers. Most of the residents are couple or just starting family. Maintenance: This apartment complex maintenance team is the best. All the issues are fixed within minutes the issues are raised. The team goes beyond their ways to make sure we are satisfied. We have raised a number of requests but they just come and fix them. All the hallways are really clean and tidy all the time. Concierge Desk: The concierge desk makes sure all the package requests are taken care properly. They also take other minor requests and every time you go to pick the packages; they are always welcoming with their smiling faces. Leasing Office: Everyone in the leasing office is friendly. They make sure all the issues are addressed properly. They organize so many events in the complex so as to make a friendly community. I have moved at least 7 times in the apartment complex with crazy requests and they always make sure that moves happen in the schedule I want. I know all the staff work here very hard to make sure that we live in one of the greatest apartment complex. Cons: Even though this place is so close to Hoboken, going there takes at least 30 minutes as there is always traffic as well as finding a parking is so hard. Even though it is so close to Manhattan, there is nothing near by. Yes, all the restaurants near are mediocre and you will get tired within a week or two. After a month, NYC & Hoboken seems very very far to go for a dinner and you feel like you live in a suburb and just order in Uber Eats.

The management company has always been extremely polite and responsive, with an online / app portal, you just put your maintenance request in before work, come home and it's fixed! It is also centrally located, just a 2 minute walk to the bus to Port Authority (at this stop you almost always get a seat and it's a 20 min commute!). Grocery store around the corner, plenty of food options in close walking distance. This quiet building is perfect for late 20s/30s NYC commuters!

The Lexington is not like other buildings - you'll find premium, high-end fixtures and finishes, including flooring, cabinets, and wood-slat blinds (not the low quality faucets and cabinets you find in the new large buildings), an extremely responsive and professional maintenance team (same day fixes!), immaculate hallways, grounds and public spaces, and the centralized location makes it easy to get uptown AND downtown (and Acme is steps away in case you run out of milk!).

We never received the renewal notice until a member of the management office "checked in" to see if we had made a decision. For a 12 month lease, we were offered a 45% increase. Eventually, we negotiated to an 18% increase for 15 months. This was about 13% higher than any renewal we had received prior. Since then, our neighbors have received renewal offers of 30% which the city assisted in negotiating down to 15% (2.5 times the CPI most reasonable renewals are compared against). The pool is great, the gym is fine, but nothing is worth the expense of living in a constant state of disappointment.

Even when confronted that there where available apartments bigger and cheaper than ours on their website, we where only offered one month concession. Upon terminating our lease we saw that our apartment was on the website $600 cheaper for a 18 month lease??!

Owning a unit here you do have to deal with building protocols which can be sometimes annoying (( you have to use approved contractors, you have neighbors and their problems can be your problems) but overall this is a great building in JC. As the neighborhood grows, the stores surrounding the area will grow as well. Since owning the apt a wine store, dry cleaners, a nail salon, a waxing place and Massage Envy all have popped up. Now we need a bar, coffee shop and restaurant and you will never have to leave your 3 block radius!
