I was given an excellent variety of bricks/blocks to choose for the wall, and the one I chose was competently installed. I was pleased to note the block I chose would be sourced from RCP in Chula Vista, where I have been a regular customer. The two workers agreed to relocate the existing pavers for my reuse as part of the original job. I really appreciated that. Although I was in no hurry, the job was completed quite expeditiously with the exception of the iron gate, the installation of which was subcontracted (and reviewed separately). The final results please me immensely. A&F solved a major problem, and I recommend the company to all.

In the process, Adam and team broke the stairs immediately, and reassembled them with screws sticking out and chunks broken remains used to "level" the remaining stairs (photos of all work attached.) While on site, Adam asked for "200-300$" outside of the scope of the signed contract for the same work that would have been done with or without the additional request. Through the phone exchanges and emails regarding these issues Adam was arrogant and dismissive, yet also took blame for the stairs and will not resolve the issue. Adam's team poured our concrete before a heavy rain, but failed to redirect a gutter (as it had originally been before construction) from pouring directly onto the concrete causing a water stain from the pooling water on the fresh concrete. Again, when confronted with this issue and asking for a resolution Adam denied blame and said "wait a year". As of 6/11/26 there has been no reply nor efforts made on behalf of this company to repair any personal property damage nor resurface the concrete stain/ finish the job as fully paid for. Green Turf was referred to me by my neighbor.  He and I have worked together on other various yard improvement plans and since he carefully looks into company's he hires, I took advantage of his recommendation.  The workers are their employees, they do not outsource. When we first started planning, I wasn't sure how I wanted to proceed regarding what type of a patio I wanted and how I wanted the turf to be placed.  Jose worked with me and gave me some good ideas.  There was no rush or pressure and we took our time to make sure the plans were to my liking. When they started the job, the workers arrived on time everyday and they clearly knew what they were doing.  Since I am retired, I watched a lot.  They worked hard even though the days were quite warm, and yes, I gave them water and Gatorade. As they did the job, there were a few details I questioned about and I requested adjustments.  They handled these easily and quickly. When they were about finished, they handled the clean-up very well and even took care of a few things that were not planned. The whole job took about 10 days to complete.  During a final inspection, there were a couple more adjustments needed so they handled those as well. I am very satisfied with the patio floor as well as the astroturf. I will use Green Turf for my future needs.

It is a flagstone patio in which he poured a concrete slab, let it set, then came back and set large pieces of flagstone on top in mortar while considering and making the drainage perfect. Not an easy task and needed an absolute professional and forward and smart thinker about the end project. Art Tarantino saw it all immediately and delivered in spades. I did get several other bids, he was the high end of the other bids, and had a longer wait time, but we are so glad we waited and went with him. His bid was true and we paid the exact estimate (no massive up charge at the end due to....you know the game). Can't recommend Tarantino Masonry enough, it's worth the wait!

Luis communicated well via phone and text, and came out to my house to measure the tree box and provide a quote. He also measured the existing bricks on another tree box in my yard so that he could find bricks to match. On both days of the project, Luis and his coworker showed up on time and did excellent, careful work. I love how they cut the brick into little triangles to make the corners look good. The tree box looks amazing and is a big upgrade from what I had before. The price was exactly as quoted, and Luis gave me a receipt showing the material costs.
