I was told it would be a 1 month wait for them to just come look at the door. Regardless, I booked an appt. There was some confusion with my first call and a very knowledgeable woman called me back and I could tell she was just like me. Very detailed, tenacious with an old school mentality. She went over everything with me (super appreciated that) and disclosed when service was done on my door 8 years ago, the repairman didn't write the part number down for the rollers. We both agreed that was inexcusable. Since the first visit was for diagnosis only, I'd need a 2nd visit for the repair so they could get parts and have a 2nd man on hand to change out parts. We needed all of this done quicker than 1 month, 2 months later so our real estate agent called Folkers Windows and Doors and they came by with only few days notice and took care of us. I called Pensacola Glass to cancel my appts. and a girl with a voice I didn't recognize asked me my last name and when my appts were and I had to say that I didn't have my note on hand. She said she'd try to find them and then hung up without a bye. Pensacola Glass is a huge company and you need to update your record keeping system. A paper book and pen/pencil is not how business should be done in 2025, in my opinion. I still would do business with this company if I didn't mind the wait.

Contracted with Aaron Trommelen of Specialty Construction to erect a metal carport from a kit I…read morepurchased from a vendor, and build a wooden platform for metal steps to abut to. This was to be shade and shelter from rain for my camper. After some delays ( Aaron seemed to be doing this as a side job and only when not working on his primary projects) the shelter was completed and looks good, sturdy. The project was abandoned when the camper was backed under the shelter and I went out of town for a month. Yes I know I should not have paid in full until the job was comlplete. I did however pay in full and gave him $3,400- $200 more than I agreed to because I felt the job was good and I trusted him. The platform was never completed by him although upon contact when I got back he said he would. I also discovered the shelter leaks significantly. Eight weeks after the original shelter was completed I finally paid someone else to move the partially constructed platform in place and complete it. The shelter still leaks. It seems Aaron Trommelen is now working out of town. The least he could have done is let me know what was happening. I feel I was very understanding of all of the delays but in the end he stopped responding. Aaron Trommelen of Specialty Construction is not a man of his word and not to be trusted.
