This place is located near State Farm Stadium just North of Glendale Ave. We weee looking for a place for the Fiesta Bowl. The prices were very cheap especially considering it was the weekend before New Years. We ended up getting a two bedroom suite with a kitchen (see photos). I could post all the photos but it was a very nice room. And considering the price it was a really good deal. The fitness center is located in the adjacent hotel North, basically 10 yards away on the other side of the pool. It has a machine, teeadmills, and weights up to 50 lbs. The complimentary breakfast is very good with eggs, potatoes, bacon/sausage, cereal, etc. They also have waffles that alternate between blueberry and vanilla. I posted a photo with the hours. Coffee is available all day. Service was great and again for the price awesome deal. read more

Great hotel, nice pool, nice mini put as well as nice corn hole. Although there's one major thing that really ruined my hotel stay. The front desk lady. I was with a few of my friends and we asked for the corn hole bags and right as a I said "Do you mind if we can have the bags for corn hole"? I got a "UHHHGGGG" in my face from her. Keep in fact that I'm a young teenager here who just wants to have fun and this lady is constantly making my stay worse. I finally got the corn hole bags after I got a grown and her breath in my face, then she starts almost like investigating me. Like I thought that I was here to play corn hole not that I'm a witness in a murder. And I know this isn't required because there was a guy a lot younger before her and he was amazing, 5 star for him. He always had a smile and was nice to everyone that came. And he gave it to us no problem and enjoyed talking with me and my friends. But really, this lady RUINS THE MOOD. Hotel amazing though, but you better pray she isn't your front desk lady. read more

If you advertise having wheelchair accessible amenities, staff members should be educated enough to know the difference between an accessible room and a regular room. Making matters worse the power curtains did not work in either the bedroom or the living area after a call down to your front desk of course they don't know how to fix it. The overall cherry on top was the fact that I picked this hotel as the pool harness was being advertise as a wheelchair accessible amenity available on the property and wouldn't you know it the poor harness just had to be down during the time of our visit. But that wasn't the case that pool harness was not used or had not been used in a very long time. After speaking to the front desk and being told yet again, they did not know how to use the harness and that she would need to call the maintenance man to do so she walks across the yard to the sister property talks to that manager comes back like 20 minutes later a maintenance man is there, but he was nowhere to be found until another motel guest offered to help me as I was trying to figure out how to work the harness so that my husband can get in the pool. The maintenance man appears as we're finally able to release the harness into the water. He then proceeds to tell us that the harness is water powered. He goes and grabs a hose and connect it into the pump for the harness. It's there connected for around 20 minutes as we sat there and waited. I watched the maintenance man get on his phone a couple of times and have conversations now 30 minutes has passed since the water hose has been connected to the pump for the harness now by this time my husband is pretty much telling us to flip him into the pool from his wheelchair. I walk over and ask the maintenance man is the harness ready he then proceeds to tell me that it's not working now an hour of time has been wasted when they could've simply said at the front desk the first time I asked about it that it was not in order because there's no way that harness had just became out of order. It's been out of order. I'm sure all staff members are well aware of the harness not only for the pool not working and being out of order but also for their hot tub isn't that a coincidence to the separate harnesses and neither of them worked Yep they both were out of order some coincidence. Now let's turn our heads to the administrative side of things as I've made several calls since our visit in April and left quite a few messages for the manager who was of course, not there as we were checking out, but I was given her contact information where I proceeded to call and leave several messages, however, since April, I have yet to receive a phone call back in regards to my family's unpleasant visit. I would definitely never be coming back and for the future references I'll make sure to call and check on amenities that are for wheelchair accessible people being fully operational and in good working order. I hate places that claim to be wheelchair accessible they make sure that they include pictures of amenities that are wheelchair accessible friendly as in the handlebars in the bathroom and also harness is for the pool but yet their employees should be able to tell me if the accessible room has a fold down chair or if they have shower chairs under the sink for a quick install falsely advertising the pool and Jacuzzi being wheelchair accessible, friendly, however, neither harness worked, and the fact that there had been a nice amount of webs and debris buildup on the chair I know for a fact, those harnesses have not been in use for a very long time, and if they knew it was broken, why still advertise it take it down. read more

We came to stay at the Residence Inn Phoenix Glendale Sports Entertainment District for 2 nights Saturday 16th & Sunday the 17th of December while in town to watch the 49ers play the Cardinals. This place is about .9 miles away from State Farm stadium, & 1/2 a mile away from all the action at the sports entertainment district. One thing we loved was the size of the room, it was big with a couch and relaxing area, and also had a full blown kitchen basically with a full size fridge, dishes, cooktop, perfect if you're staying there with kids and any length of time. The breakfast spread was nice! I really think other places miss the boat on this and don't offer anything worthwhile for breakfast. This place had coffee, apple & orange juice. Then bagels, toast, cereal, yogurt, eggs, bacon, and more. It saves you good money being able to get some grub in the morning and not have to pay for an expensive breakfast. My only knocks were noises in the room, the ice maker & AC unit were both so loud, we woke multiple times both nights we were there, kind of put a damper on things a bit. Not sure if all the rooms were like that, but maybe I should've asked for both of those items to be checked. read more

I am not sure if all the rooms are this way but my 2 bedroom suite was really dirty. if they vacuumed in there it was hard to tell, and it was obvious that certain areas had probably not been cleaned in a very very long time (bedboard, counter corners, under the bed etc). what made it worse was that they seem to have renovated only part of the room as only certain furnishings were updated while the rest were run down (for example there is a nice new bathroom sink, counter & mirror but it's mounted on a gross worn down vanity with really gross drawers). The carpet throughout the 2 bedroom suite is not something I felt comfortable walking on without shoes. Staff was perfectly nice and I did not feel unsafe at all, but sorry this place is nasty. read more

This was our first time staying in Arizona. I'm very picky about where I stay. This place was great. We booked a 2 bedroom suite and it was fantastic. Super clean, the room definitely looked like they took their time to clean in every spot of this room and I go around and check everything before I sleep in a room, if it's not up to par, then I won't stay. From the moment I walked in the room, it was nice, comfortable and all the amenities were great. The staff are nice and super quick, I had to call housekeeping twice, but only because once I wanted an extra blanket and then decided to also use the pull out couch for the kids, so I called for a sleep set that came with nice clean sheets, a pillow and blanket and all of the linens smelled fresh and clean and each time they were so quick to bring the items to our room. We had a wonderful stay and I was super pleased, if I'm ever in that part of Arizona again, they are definitely getting a call from me to reserve a room. The hotel is in a nice location, the AC worked great, the bed was comfortable and shower was nice, just a little more water pressure would have been great, but I believe our other bathroom had the better water pressure, but that's just me and how I like my shower, everything was great for our stay. It also had a kitchenette in the suite, so it was great to put our drinks (sodas, juice and waters) in their refrigerator and they had a freezer, plenty of clean dishes, glasses and if you decided to have a movie night, they even supplied a popcorn bowl if you wanted to pop popcorn. 1 minor thing is I'm used to having some sort of disposable cup for certain uses, but they did have actual glassware which was also nice. I highly recommend this hotel for your staying pleasure. They also offered complimentary breakfast, but we didn't go down for the breakfast since we had other plans. read more

One of the worst customer service experiences I have had in a LONG time. Horribly rude treatment by employee who stated they were the current manager when I asked. We stayed here based on recommendation from a friend that lives in the area. The first night when we got back to the room we found out the heat was broken in our room. Even when set to off position on the thermostat it blew cold air all through the night. I had to get up to start the gas fireplace 60 minute time 3 times during the night to keep a decent temp. They attempted to fix it and the tech was friendly and made a good effort but could not get the heat fixed. When I asked to be move to a room with working heat the first offered solution I got was to have my room downgraded.... that's right not a typo DOWNgraded. Finally got moved to a similar room only to find many problems with this room as well. Front door so hard to open that my petite GF was unable to open the door. Bathroom door unevenly mounted such that you could not even close the bathroom door without tremendous effort and noise. nob missing on stove, fireplace switch only semi functional. To top it off when we asked to have checkout time extended to noon we were told no. When I went down to speak to the manager to address all of these concerns I was told "you are only a BASIC Bonvoy member" as the reason I couldn't get treated properly. This was said like a basic member was something disgusting to be scraped from your shoe.... I was absolutely shocked to be treated this way by the person stating they were the manager of the property. I have a call into Bonvoy support team who says I should be a call from general manager or district manager in the next week or so. I am hoping to get a better result and will update this review when I hear back. At this point I would DEFINITELY never return there are plenty of other nice locations in the area. read more

This place is nice! My wife travels a lot for work and racks up a lot of points, so when it came time to booking a hotel for spring training, Marriott was at the top of the list. We ended up being able to get a last minute upgrade to a suite which made for an enjoyable two nights since we had a kitchen and fireplace. The room was clean, the continental breakfast was good and the spread changed each morning and the people there seemed happy and helpful. They also have a small market should you need any snacks, drinks or cold beer. The best part about this place is that it's within walking distance from Westgate district that'll afford guests a wide variety of food, drinks and entertainment. read more

First of all the bed had some brown dried liquid on the mattress that we pray wasn't vomit or some fecal matter. Then in the bathroom, the tiles were loose and coming out. This was our first time staying at this place. We reserved our room online, it was pretty easy to do. Upon arriving to the hotel at about 9:30 in the evening, we were tired and ready for our room. There seem to be an entire Army Troop from China checking in just before us. So the lobby was rather busy. There was a man and a young lady working the front desk. The really were not very friendly, which is the reason for my 4 stars instead of 5. The rooms were very clean and at the same time pretty large. There was a pull out bed from under the couch which my child slept in and said was very comfy. My husband and I were in the king size bed in the bedroom area, it really was an amazing bad. The lid for the AC unit in the room was broken but other than that the room was very nice. The main complaint that I have about this room, is the fact that it was right above the fire pit near the lobby and pool area. The problem with this is they keep the fire going apparently all night long. I was woken up multiple times from people talking and laughing from under my window. As long as the air was running I could not hear them, but II the air turned off - I heard everything! The free breakfast that was offered in the lobby had quite a variety of food. Everything from croissants and toast and bagels 2 eggs and sausage and Waffles. The breakfast area was also kept very clean and they were on top of filling the food as it became low. Sylvia at the front counter was incredibly rude. As a platinum member I was shocked to see this behavior was tolerated. It felt that we were disturbing her just by trying to check in. When I asked for her name she said I was arguing with her. I hadn't spoken to her until then. First and foremost, there is no booklet that shows hotel amenities, a map of the complex, restaurants in the area... all because of "COVID-19"... I guess maps spread viruses but the book of Mormon and holy Bible do not LMAO what a joke. For the most part the rooms are nice however, it is not very pet friendly. Online it said that it was which is why I chose this place. The pet area is a 8 x 8 square plot of grass in the corner of the parking lot. Even though the complex has pads all through it but no maps, this is where they have us bring our pets. There are no bags for waste. I always bring my own so that isn't a concern... The garbage can there wise. The garbage can where you're supposed to put the dog waste after you're done is full. This area is completely ignored. I don't think anyone even maintains the garbage in this corner. It is disgusting. Thank God I'm just staying here while I'm having repairs done to my house before I put it on the market. I can at least take my dog back to the house to go to the bathroom. I am very disappointed. Also, if you're planning on working here and using their Internet, don't. Devices like iPads and iPhones connect just fine. Computers do not. I will also be going home to work during the day since I can't use the Internet here. Just kind of ridiculous because all the reasons I got this room aren't really viable for me. It's great if you just want a place to crash and go shopping. read more

Nice stay while in the Westgate area for the night. Our one bedroom suite was spacious and the fold out couch was nice. The room also offered a kitchen with plates and utensils. As for the pool area, there was a large heated pool but the spa was pretty small for catering to two connected hotels. There was a little putting green but unsure if you need t have your own putter. The hotel offered a free breakfast which is always a nice bonus. The real draw to this hotel is the great location to the Cards Stadium, Coyotes Arena and all Westgate options. Overall, a nice hotel for an affordable price. read more

It was easy to book the room and the check in was also quick. I was disappointed that they sent us to the room on the other end of the hotel since they were not at all full only to find that the phone and television did not work. Luckily I didn't fully unpack before we moved to a room not to far away. That room had a fridge with a broken seal and a lamp shade that was taped with electrical tape to stay crooked. The linens were clean and the breakfast was the best we've had in the past 10 visits to other hotels. It was the highlight next to the courteous cleaning and maintenance staff. The pool was too cloudy to go into in our personal opinion but we ended up going to a concert and the mall instead and had a wonderful time since it was within walking distance. I'd stay here again after I clarify that I want a room that is ready for a guest. read more

Really excellent, except for some of the little details. Broken window screen , deteriorating pool side cement, broken pool planters, no hot water at pool shower, broken card key gate at pool and entrance from parking. One other thing, pool grounds were left unkempt overnight. Room is everything and more that you could want with amenities and comfort. The staff is professional and discrete. The grounds outside the pool are perfect. The location is close to everything. We had dinner at the Yard House, five minutes away, and two thumbs way up. If managers will correct the Marriott's minor distractions, this will be five star all the way. So good, we're coming back next week. Great reason to come South from Williams to Phoenix. read more

In the time of covid - that's very scary. Garbage piled up in the halls and the tub did not look like it had been cleaned. Noisy. Walls paper thin and could hear every word the neighbors said. No posted instructions for turning fire on/off, 30 secs of wasted water (at least) before ti gets hot. I feel like they go out of their way to make their guests feel at home and welcome. Everything was very clean and modern. The room had a kitchen that with a dishwasher, sink, coffee maker, toaster, stovetop, and full-size fridge with icemaker. A full breakfast was included each morning. Monday through Wednesday evenings they had some appetizers and beer/wine... For free! The hotel is within walking distance to the Westgate entertainment district where there are many restaurant options. It is also within walking to the Tangor outlet mall. The outdoor pool is heated and fairly large. There is also a hot tub. The fitness center was a good size and had ellipticals, treadmills, stationary bikes, and free weights. I would definitely go back to this hotel if I was ever in the area again! read more

This place was great! After months of research, I finally found this hotel and on top of that got a great deal on their website! There were 5 of us girls and we stayed in the 2 bed/2 bath suite for $120/night! There was a full kitchenette and a pull out couch in the living room. Also, they have a complimentary buffet breakfast until 9am. Their food selection was really good, too. They also have a pool and a mini market in their lobby to purchase snacks, beverages and even beer. This hotel is conveniently located just a couple of minutes from Westgate Mall. Tuesday night. 2 bedroom suite spring hill suite and residence inn share a common central drop off. Nice pool common to both and a nice bbq area/ covered patio. Well maintained facility. Looks like it's relatively new or recently refurbished. Nice happy hour in the evening and decent breakfast in the AM. Not thrilled with the lack of separation between smokers and non smokers in the outside common areas (patio, pool, etc). To me, that downgraded the experience. read more

MIL passed unexpectedly so we had no reservations when arrived in town. Me, my Mister, our daughter and 5 months old grandson. I clicked MAPS on phone searched hotels. This came up for $108 for a studio that slept 4 or a one bedroom for $112. We booked the 1 bedroom when we arrived 15 minutes later we were all checked in to a room that we would probably pay $250+ for where we live. We slept in the king bedroom. Our daughter and grandson stayed in living room with sleeper sofa and his pack and play. There is a fireplace, 2 tvs, dining table, full kitchen. Dishwasher, stove oven, fridge with ice maker in freezer, microwave. Everything you need pots pans, service for 4 people coffeemaker, toaster, popcorn, coffee, tea. Vanity area with separate bathroom. Beautiful pool area, putting green, everything was Beautiful. Free breakfast and evening snacks. Everything was spotless not only in our room but the whole property. Everyone who worked there was friendly and made us feel welcome. Will definitely stay here next time! We knew it be busy and didnt want to fight traffic there and back. However we started our search late (the night before). It was booked everywhere in the area. I was here the first week in April for a US soccer match against Mexico. I used 2 gift certificates, for a 2-night stay on a Tuesday and Wednesday night. Considering the Renaissance hotel across the street was an extra 20,000 points per night, it wasn't a bad deal. I should also note the Renaissance hotel across the street's a category 6 hotel, and my gift certificates were only valid for categories 1-5. This hotel is ideal for those attending an event at the University of Phoenix stadium. It is across the street from the Westgate center (movie theatre also available), so there are bars/restaurants to eat before or after your event. The walk from the hotel to the stadium is probably about 20-30 minutes or so at a leisurely pace. The hotel itself was okay. There were a lot of USA soccer supporters, as well as Mexican fans. Breakfast was ample. All the fixings for breakfast tacos were available, and being from Texas, I very much appreciate this. There were so many different kinds of condiments and spreads; I think I counted at least 5 different kinds of jam to choose from, which is very unusual! Although I typically give Residence Inns three stars, I added a fourth just for the wide variety at breakfast alone. If you wish to workout, you have to go to the Springhill Suites across the semi-circle. This is also another Marriott chain hotel. Your room key will work for the gym in the Springhill Suites. To enter, go through their lobby and turn left. The fitness center will be on the left. You can also enter/exit directly from the outside, but for your first time, go through the lobby. Residence Inns are like an upscale Homewood Suites (Hilton chain). They come with a fully-stocked kitchen (plates, mugs, drinking glasses, stove, microwave, big fridge etc), which I very much appreciated when we ordered pizza after the match. A light dinner is also provided on certain days of the week, although we were never around to take advantage. I should note the free gift certificates were earned as a result of Marriott's MegaBonus promotions from the past. From July to September 2013, October 2013 to December 2013, and January to March 2014, you could earn one free gift certificate when you stayed two times at any Marriott chain (to up a total of two gift certificates per earning period). The gift certificates are valid from one year of earning. Not bad! Be sure to continually check your Marriott rewards account for promotions! read more

I would go three and a half but I can't. The place was clean and the room was nice. The dishes they supplied were not clean enough to use, but a quick rinse made them fine. The floor plan of the actual building was stretched out and a lot of the rooms, mine included, are far from the elevator. I didn't use the pool but it was clean and nicely appointed. It is near a lot of restaurants and shopping. It is also close by the University of Phoenix Arena and you may find some traffic problems during events. Not too big a deal though, wide streets, just stay off the highway right before and after the games. The sheets and towels were spotless. Minor issue, they didn't supply moisturizer as most hotels do, they do supply shampoo and conditioner. Maybe the moisturizer was an oversight on my housekeepers' part. Probably so. The breakfast was typical, but free so they got that going for them. the food they put out at night was not very high quality, but don't expect gourmet food to be served free off of hot plates in a hotel lobby. I have my own 4g hotspot so I can't speak to the wireless quality. Safe bet for families and business travelers who only need a day or two. read more

The good: The rooms are nice (especially the 2 room suites) and very clean. The hotel is in a good location, right across the street from the Westgate Center and University of Phoenix stadium. The bad: Internet is wireless but extremely slooooooww. I think dial up is faster. You can pay for "premium" wireless internet (very pricey) but it's not worth the cost. I decided to pay for the "premium" service only to find out that there is no noticeable difference between the free and "premium" internet. I called the front desk to complain and they credited back my account. The outside patio and pool area is very nice but it's shared with the Spring Hill hotel directly across, therefore, it always seems to be busy with kids running wild. We arrived late night after driving 6 hours. The late night lobby attendant was on the phone for 10 min he didn't greet nor say one sec or acknowledge us. Nor apologize. He wasn't personable and wasn't great with customer service in general. We were tired not good. There was no bellman to take our luggage we lugged it all up ourselves. The room was very nice and modern. It was nice to have free hot breakfast in the morning, I asked the same guy did they have vanilla ice cream. He said yes I put on my clothes go all the way down stairs and they didn't. I loved the hotel but the hotel lobby attendant kind of made the time sour. We stayed at the Residence Inn July 2012. Our experience was nothing but positive. The rooms were clean and modernly furnished. The staff was extremely nice and the free breakfast was fabulous. It was far more than I expected for "free breakfast" Also, a variety of shopping and places to eat are in close proximity. If you have AAA, you can get some really good rates. Overall, you will get your money worth. This is now our official hotel of choice when visiting the Phoenix area. Book a room, you won't be disappointed. read more

We live in Tempe but decided to book a too here since we were attending a concert on a Friday night. It was kind of a last minute decision for us but I'm so pleased that we chose this hotel! Free wifi and free parking is always a bonus. Check in was simple and quick and they had 3 gals working at the front desk during check in time. I was given our keys and headed right up to the room. The room was nice a cool when I arrived (which is nice in this AZ heat). There's a nice sized kitchen area with a full fridge and dishes and everything. If you want ice, turn the ice maker on right away because they don't have ice machines in their hotel (not a big issue for us but might be important to some people). The rooms are good sized with a full couch and living room area. We got the room with a kind bed and it was so comfortable. We actually discussed that we need to go mattress shopping after sleeping on their bed there. Bathroom and vanity area was clean, plenty of towels. The room smelled really good too. I've never wrote such a long review but this has been the most worst experience ever and have already taken a lot of my time mines well. If I can give this hotel no stars I would but unfortunately that's not an option. Horrible horrible customer service ever !!!! I stayed at this location on 4/7/2017 and checked out 4/8/2017. Everything started good we checked in okay.Rooms were good.Breakfast was good. I am from LA and my family and I were in Arizona for the weekend for a family surprise birthday party. My brother in law looked at different hotels and decided to stay here so he booked 2 rooms under his name.1 room for him and his family and 1 room for my family and I once we got there to check in room 209 was ours and room 211 was there's so he paid with his credit card and we paid for ours under our own credit card. Check out time was at 1pm so my brother in law asked the front desk representative if we can check out from room 209 1 hour earlier which was at 12:00pm and add that hour to room 211 so we can check out at 2:00 pm and she said that was okay to do so. I called on Saturday 4/8/2017 morning to check out from room 209 exactly at 12:00 pm and then called to check out from room 211 exactly at 2:00pm from 211 as agreed.Trusting that the front desk representative would write notes on the system of that approval that way other employees would be aware why we were checking out 1 hour later. Wrong wrong wrong she did not leave notes on the system. This is were the nightmare began. I always like checking my online banking when I'm out of state because in case there's something wrong,I can fix it at the time and not when I'm back home and hours away. About 1hour later I received a email from my bank that there was a charge for $230 which I had authorized, but I notice that there was a 2nd charge for $182.30 which I definitely did not authorized so I called the hotel and spoke to a young lady asking her why they had charged my card again for $182.30 and she explained it was due to a late check out I told her that is not correct and explained to her I had called to Check out at 12pm to check her cameras and the last time my card was swipe in room 209. She then said that there was nothing she can do until Monday when the manager is there . I explained to her that is not acceptable.I needed resolved by that same day which was Saturday because I will be leaving back home Sunday morning ,she then said okay I will call my manager and see what we can do for you. She called me back within 20 minutes and said that the manager will be calling me on Monday so they can look at the cameras and the last time the card was swiped during that time I was still calm and okay with that. On Monday 4/10/2017 I receive a call from the manager Phillip and explained to me that his housekeeper Maria,stated she saw us leaving from room 211 at 3:10pm which is clearly not truth because there was no reason to stay longer than what we had to. Phillip the manager explained to me that was the reason there was an extra charge on both cards which made no sense because why would you charge both cards if he said the house keeper Maria saw us leave from room 211 at 3:10 pm but then he said that she wasn't sure from what room she saw us leave . At this point I was extremely upset because not only is my card getting charged an extra $182.30 but he is assuming were lying about the time we checked out. I told him to look at his phone records ,cameras and the last time both cards were swiped. I also explained to him due to the lack of his employee not putting notes in the system we're paying the price which is unacceptable. He agreed to refund both credit cards for the extra charges which at that point it was $206 and we left it at that. Well to be surprised on Tuesday morning 04/11/2017.I checked my bank and had another charge from the hotel for an additional $182.30 so at this point I've had it ,in total there has been $594 taken out of my account which originally there was only suppose to be $179 for 1 night that we stood there!!! I then extremely upset call the manager Phillip and explained to him that there has been a total of $594 taken out of my account and that this was the worst experience ever as I stay in hotels often I had never had such a horrible experience right now I am currently waiting for my $206 refund and $182 that was taken out today. I escalated to customer care which is the highest department for complaints and there were helpful. I am hoping everything gets resolved and never have to go thru this experience anywhere else. Its also very upsetting that I had to take out time from my job to resolve this which should have never happened.I will never stay at this hotel again!!! read more
