We really like this hotel. It has everything we need when we come to St George for hiking. It's always clean, the staff is really friendly and great at their job and the hotel has everything we're looking for on our 2 day get aways from Vegas. This was our 2nd time here. We don't need much as we spend very little time at the hotel when we visit St George. We come for the hiking...full stop. We don't expect luxury, spa, fancy dining or any fluff. We love the simplicity of the entire Tru brand. Let's discuss shall we? Check in-Simple. Download the app, check in online and receive a digital key sent to your phone to access your room. Literally zero human interaction Room-Small but efficiently designed, always clean with a few toiletries provided. Bed & pillows are very comfortable and offer a great nights sleep. Toiletries-Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, body lotion all in large bottles attached to the walls. I actually appreciate and prefer this model vs the mini bottles. Most people bring their own products, myself included. Also, most people take extra home with intentions of using them and guess what, they collect in a random drawer in the guest bath for years until they move or die then someone throws dozens of wasted plastic and expired products in the trash. Ty hotels for saving is all the headache! Also, the brand Tru offers smells so good! Gym-24/7 access which we love. It's on the smaller aide but offers an impressive amount of equipment. 2 treadmills, an elliptical, 1 weight bench, weights 5-40 lbs, stability straps which I loved, a Bosu, 3 stability balls, several matts and a box for jumping. Think I saw a few Kettles too. Free Breakfast-Always impressed with what's offered for free at the free breakfast here. Scrambled eggs and some type of breakfast protein is always offered. Oatmeal with tons of fixings, yogurt, cereals, several juices, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs and the most popular item...the mini pancakes! There are 2 pancake machines you simply wave your hand in front of and makes you a little hot fresh pancake! There were multiple toppings including sugar free syrup. Refreshments-24/7 regular & decaf coffee and hot water for tea. 2 flavors to choose for cream, a few types of sweeteners. It's really great coffee too! In the morning there ice water & citrus infused water. Common Areas-For as small as the lobby os it has several seating areas to sit and work on your lap top, eat, or play games with the family. Tru does a great job at providing family entertainment too with big screens to watch tv on, a pool table and lots of games to play too! We don't spend mich time at the hotel outside of sleeping, a workout and a quick bite before hitting the road but we're always hapoy with our stays. We will be back! read more

No greeting when we walked in. The front desk clerk watched the television and watched us walk by. If you are going to stare, at least speak! Blood stained towels in the restroom. What on earth!!! It was visible when I picked the towel up, so I don't understand how it wasn't noticed when it was placed there! Unacceptable! We are Diamond members and this is what we pay for????? Trying to get in contact with the front desk is a hassle so I decided to write this review while I wait for a response!! **UPDATE** No response received, so I went to sleep. Next morning, still no response. Called the front desk and Jenna answered. I informed her of the towels and how I reported it the night before (to no avail) and she just stated: "I'll bring new towels for you." I asked Jenna for a late check-out and she replied: "unfortunately, we don't offer late check-out." We found out later that another guest was offered late check-out. I am thoroughly upset and confused. I will be providing this review to Hilton directly as well. read more

We were warmly greeted upon arrival from Cari and she recommended Ahi's | Asian Noodle & Rice Bar for dinner. It was nearby and tasty. Upon our return Tysha greeted us with full of energy. Both times were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and hotel was quiet, with comfortable beds. Moani & Kaydee assisted us in the morning and were pleasant and ready to serve. For our first night "on the road", we were able to stay here. They're pet friendly. They have a special area that's easy to park large moving vans. There's a huge lobby area that's perfect if you have DoorDash delivered, or if you're a happy group wanting to play games. (there was a huge Connect 4, pool tables, and more. It was great seeing families have fun) There was a nice heated pool and jacuzzi. The wall near the elevator banks had hand written notes welcoming groups and notifying people of things going on. Our room was a single King and wasn't very large. There were hooks instead of drawers. And that was okay since we kept most everything in our luggage. The people at the front desk were super helpful (we needed another large towel and we bought some things at the front desk). There is a "shopping" area where I got water and an ice cream bar. Breakfast was quite good. The high top tables did have charging. There was an area where you could plug in, and hot spots where you could place your phone to charge. But, not all worked when I was there. There were some nice little places where you could curl up with a book if you wanted. It was overall a very nice stay. read more

I stay at this property every 2 weeks for business since driving back to Las Vegas is not an option and too far. The staff is always very nice every time I walk in and especially during breakfast as well. Their location is new so their facilities is nice and well kept. Their rooms are nice and they have games in the lobby area like pool and table games if you want to play with your friends and family. Their workout room is nice as well! They have a wide verity of snacks which is nice and in the lobby area and there are quite a bit of food options across the freeway if you are hungry. The price point is very affordable and there is Diamond member parking in the front which is very nice! Highly recommend this location if you are visiting read more

I must say, St. George is a beautiful place to be for a weekend getaway! As soon as I arrived, I was able to obtain a park immediately. As I walked in, I was greeted by Katie at the front desk. I would like to give a special shout out to the Katie at the front desk and their staff at Tru by Hilton. I explained that I needed a room that was semi away from the noise because I needed to study for an upcoming exam, and they delivered! In fact, I even had 2 sets of ear plugs on my night stand. In full disclosure, I'm a Hilton Honors member. Having said that this is my first visit to one of their Tru properties. I'm very pleased. The property is minimalist excellence. Would give a 1 star but atleast they had availability and clean rooms. The room was extremely loud throughout the night and it was very hard to sleep. You can hear every door slam, we were next to the maintenance access door. You can also hear every car on the freeway. There is free breakfast. Found a hair in the oatmeal and a piece of plastic. This was my first experience with a Tru Hotel by HIlton and I loved it! Hotel Lobby and Staff: The check in was effortless, easy and friendly. In the lobby, there was a pool table where families were playing. The front desk looked like a round cashier station at an airport gift shop. The desk was surrounded by snacks, candies, water etc that could be purchased. This is a very casual, family oriented hotel which I was fine with. Rooms: The decor and furniture gave a very contemporary, artsy modern feel. The rooms felt like model rooms you'd see at Ikea. The bathroom was spotless. The water pressure was strong and there was plenty of hot water. (Pet peeve of mine) Breakfast: The Hotel lobby also acts as the morning breakfast dining area. The lobby was packed with full families enjoying the complimentary breakfast. I went with scrambled eggs, sausage and bagel. All was well. The location right off the highway is fantastic. This hotel was packed with traveling families during my stay. The accommodations are fun, very casual and they do it well. Don't expect any upscale services are offerings and you'll be fine. Clever well appointed hotel with youthful attitude. Nice staff. Comfortable bed. Clean. Not only is the wall mounted ventilation unit in our room noisy, it lets the freeway sounds right in. You need ear plugs to sleep. It is frustrating that this hotel gets so many things right and then gets the most important function wrong. read more

Had a stay at Tru by Hilton for a religious convention the weekend of August 9-11th and let me tell you these folks are great host! The check in process was very easy being that I had processed majority of my check in on the downloadable Hilton App. When I arrived at the front desk the transaction was smooth. The host did asked me if I was there for the convention and handed me over a welcome letter, a well though out welcome card that demonstrated the pleasure it was for them to have us in their facilities... outstanding! This is the second time I stay with Tru by Hilton because I really enjoyed my stay there. The rooms are clean and upkept, the amenities are cool, the breakfast hours actually started a bit earlier for convention attendees which again, thank you! I'll certainly be coming back and I suggest you give yourself the opportunity to enjoy your stay. read more

We are loyal to Hilton and appreciate their Hilton Honors program for accumulating points. So when we were planning to be in the St. George area we decided on this hotel. The location seems convenient and easy to find. We use the Hilton app and Check-in and obtain the digital key which makes it nice to simply go straight to your room versus stopping at the front desk. The lobby area looked clean and well stocked and we headed to our fourth floor room. We've stayed at Tru's several times and the room and amenities were similar. The room was clean and well setup for our luggage. Our only complaint for the Tru by Hilton's is the rooms are on the smaller side. We slept well and our room was quiet and comfortable. You can hear the traffic from I-15 but it didn't bother us. read more

As someone who always uses Hilton's hotels/Inns wherever I go, I would like to say I did not have a good experience with Tru. The morning receptionists that greeted us and do the check-ins were really nice ladies, friendly and humble. Everything was smooth till I got to my room. Honestly l, there was a weird smell in the room. Also, I did not check the other bed but one of the pillows on my bed was covered in hair... I do not know how and they also had a different smell that made me sleep without any pillows. (I do not know if it was the detergent that smelled very unpleasant) The room was dusty... and I thought it was a good idea to stay at the top floor to have a better view but unfortunately I could bot get enough rest and enjoy my stay. Although I was receiving texts and updates about my stay and I appreciate the assistance I received, but as I said earlier if I compare Tru with other Hilton resorts .... i had my worst experience and was really disappointed.... Unfortunately, I did not take a picture of the pillow because I was so uncomfortable to touch it ..... Other than that the front receptionists are great and doing their job amazingly! read more

I've stayed here every summer for a few years. It was always a great stay until this summer. After a seven hour drive, running on four hours of sleep, I checked in my room and showered then fell in and out of sleep. Starting around maybe 7? I started getting phone calls and knocks on the door. The caller left messages that sounded like background noise in the lobby, no actual message was left. Every time I checked the peep hole through the door, I didn't see anyone. I assumed some kids were playing a prank. Around 1am I heard a very heavy knock from a couple cops at the door. Apparently I'd been accused of making enough noise to elicit that kind of response? I hadn't made a sound my entire stay. They agreed my room was quiet. The TV wasn't even loud enough for someone else to hear. I had to be up early that morning, so that was two nights in a row of four hours of sleep. I don't know what was actually going on at the hotel, but it felt chaotic and out of control. read more

Don't stay here. I am in hiltons 150-200 nights a year. Lifetime Diamond Member I booked this two nights but after one, while out hiking, the hotel modified my reservation without me knowing it, canceling the second night since they needed a room. I returned and was told "sorry you only have one night" despite my reservation and email proof. She tried calling the manager who was unavailable, and then advised me if I didn't take my stuff and leave so they could clean the room at 7pm, she could contact the police for trespassing! I have never had this happen. I ended up packing up my stuff and moved 1 mile away to the Garden Inn. DO NOT STAY here. This is my first time staying at a Tru by Hilton. Having stayed at a few other Hilton properties, I'm definitely leaving with a sense this is the lower end of their offerings. Room was modestly sized and echoed badly. Bed creaked a lot and a I was worried it would collapse the first time I sat on it (I'm not a large person and don't encounter this). It's not all negatives, however. The breakfast area was all stocked and continuously monitored for cleanliness and availability. The pancake machine was fun to watch and it's a big hit with kids. Also, the desk staff was always friendly and greeted me upon return and said "Have a good day." every time I left. Not something that I've gotten even at high end hotels. I'm leaving here having slept a few nights, but none were restful. Despite the amazing desk staff, I can't say I'll be back or look at Tru again. read more

My 1st time at a Tru. I liked it! It's minimalist-- that's part of the charm. The rooms are relatively small and lack frills (eg: no closet, no big desk, few lights, simple controls), but the bed is surprisingly comfortable with decent pillows, the HVAC has better controls than many, the bathroom is decent sized. There's a fridge & iron. The common areas are substantial for a small hotel, with seating, tables, work areas, even a number of games & activities. There's a pretty normal-sized pool & gym. The intention here is you don't spend a lot of non-sleeping time in your room. There's plenty of free parking at this location. Breakfast (included) was more substantial than I expected. Good building design allowing easy access to parking. This location is a little south of St George downtown, and immediately next to the interstate. Staff were pleasant and did a better job of acknowledging a loyal customer than many larger Hiltons do. Very good: Great bed. Effective light-blocking blinds & sunlight screen. HVAC controls allow setting speed & continuous fan. Good water pressure. Plush towels. Competitive pricing. Free parking. Courteous check-in. Good parking design. Good: Substantial breakfast. Nice use of limited room space with rolling desk. Comfortable room chair. Decent shower. Adequate WiFi performance. Bad: Could use a shelf in the bathroom. Walls are thin, if you have a noisy neighbor you'll be hearing them. Minimal lighting in the room doesn't provide any decent reading light (either too dim or too bright for reading in bed). Very Bad: Nothing. One potential negative, which didn't affect me this stay, is there's not much sound-proofing. If you have noisy neighbors or hope to sleep in that could be a problem. You can pretty clearly hear people talking or music playing in other rooms. I'm an experienced traveler / Hilton Diamond member. I think others who had less positive experiences may not have done their research on what kind of hotel this is. It's evocative to me of the simpler urban hotels I've seen in Europe, but with more emphasis on common area. The smaller room & low frills design might not be ideal for a longer stay or if you need a lot of space (family traveling together, larger people, etc). But for my two day solo stay while exploring the area, it was perfect. I'll definitely consider Tru for similar future stays. read more

I believe I have stayed at every Hilton property in St. George, and this one might be my favorite. First, it is dog friendly! And, not limiting. My yellow lab felt at home! Second, super easy to find and a large parking lot. Third, I was welcomed as a Hilton Gold member and treated to some extras. Finally, a good overall stay! My only issue is that with my dog, I was unable to access the breakfast buffet since dogs cannot go into the food area. Having some quick bags for guests with dogs would be helpful. read more

Our second visit to St.George but this was our first to stay for a few nights. We decided on this location when searching as it seemed a bit central in town and It was a day after Christmas so we weren't too sure if it would be extra busy & to our surprise it was not. We got into town a bit earlier than check in time and we had called to see if maybe an early check in was possible and we were greeted by Ava over the phone who was more than happy to accommodate us. We were so happy to know of this as we wanted to just relax before dinner time. We were welcomed with open arms and super friendly atmosphere and service. Not even 5 minutes and we got checked in and made our way up to our room which was very clean and perfect for our family of 4. The daily hot breakfast was a perfect variety and staff was always keeping an eye on when to fill up again. It was great to have a microwave accessible in the lobby too as we had heated up our left over dinner from the night prior. There was a good amount of snacks, drinks, ice cream available to buy although we did not during our stay but just nice to know it was there 24/7. Once again the friendly service was above and beyond and honestly that's what made our trip so memorable and pleasant. Even being greeted in the hallways from other team members meant so much. Fast forward to our check out that was a breeze and to a customer service gesture offered for a slight overcharge we had noticed. Becka was so sweet and prompt to help us with that. We stayed here over presidents weekend and this place was full because of all the sports tournaments. The bathroom comes with a squatty potty, can it get better than that? I tried it out a few times and it's as good as advertised! The rooms are a bit small but not terrible. There is not much storage and they advertise to hang things on hooks throughout the room for more space or hide things under the bed. The beds and pillows were comfortable and there were plenty of outlets to charge your devices. I liked the tubes of shampoo and soap and they smelled nice. It sure beats the tiny bottles you get at other places. The breakfast was good and they served you hot items like waffles, eggs, and sausage. There were lots of toppings too for the yogurt. The lines at breakfast could get long. You could hear the kids out in the halls running around but we were close to the freeway and we could not hear the cars. So we were happy with the noise level. The kids used the pool and said it was warm enough. They have a fitness room but it was full every morning so we didn't use it. read more

So far so great!! The lady at the front desk was very nice, like most Hilton properties she created us, offered us a couple water bottles and even gave us a Hershey's chocolate bar with our name on it. The lobby was funky but at the same tine kind of nice. There was another lady Cleanning the floors and she too was very nice. This is a new brand for Hilton and I have never stayed here before but I have to say the management is doing a good job because we have been treated really nice so far. The rooms are small so that was a little disappointing but I get it. The hotel world is moving in a direction to be more like hotels in the EU. Smaller is better and most likely more profitable for the company, again, I get it. Again, small rooms but they are nice. Everything was clean and still looked new to me. The pool was great, they have towels ready for you and your guests. I really can't say anything bad about the pool. The water was wet, the water was clean and best of all the water was nice and cold because it was 113° This is a very unique brand, I'm not sure it's gonna fly with some of the older Hilton HHonors members. It's not as nice as a newer remodeled Hampton and it's nowhere near as nice as a Hilton but it is funky and refreshing and I will personally stay here again. read more

Hotel staff was always available, nice and accommodating. The rooms and property has all the amenities it need, pool, fitness center w/ modern working equipment and the most impressive Continental breakfast I've ever seen. I don't usually wake up for free hotel breakfast but I did for this one, I am getting hungry just thinking about those waffle boats again. I really like this hotel. It's clean, fun, and convenient! It's the perfect place to take your family. There's games, a pool table, a real pool, and a monthly open mic for stand up comedy! The ambiance is awesome. There's a nice continental breakfast with a gourmet waffle bar, fruit, juice, yogurt, and donuts! After hours, there's a convenience store full of locally sourced goods. The rooms are minimal and clean. Everything you need is in your tools or the hotel lobby. Best of all, they even have a squatty potty! If you're wondering what that is, look it up. We are staying here for Labor Day weekend and of course we walk into our room and we have a one queen bed for 4 people. Our reservations were made over a month ago and just our bad luck and there BIG MISTAKE and of course TRU is completely booked due to Labor Day weekend all four of us are stuck sleeping on a queen bed. We didn't even get an apology from the man in the front desk. (COLE) We are traveling thru and we checked in super later. I hate to think that they gave our room to another guest even after the fact that our room was booked in advance. We even went to the front desk and showed COLE our reservations specifically stating two queen bed. We are coming from a long all day hike and all we wanted was to sleep comfortable and now we have to sleep like sardines. This is very unprofessional and this isn't any way to run a business. He was very rude. Somebody needs to show him how to improve his customer service skills. read more

We stayed at this hotel on our first trip to St. George. At first glance from the outside it is not very impressive. It just has a very plain look to it. Going inside you can see it is a very different kind of hotel. There are bright colors, a pool table, tons of games and different kinds of seats all over. The atmosphere feels more like a health club than a hotel. The interaction with the employees feels more casual than you find in most hotels. There are several outlets with USB ports around the tables. The rooms are very simple and modern. The whole closet consists of a pipe along the wall with hangers on it. There are no drawers to speak of. There are several hooks to hang bags and such. The tv is large for the size of room. The biggest plus of the room is they have lots of wall plugs and they all have USB charging ports built in. Every morning they have free breakfast. It is a decent spread seeing how it is included with the room. They have a good pool and hot tub right out back. We downloaded the Hilton app and with it were able to unlock the hotel entrance, gym, pool and our room with the app. It is a cool thing to have and recommend the app, especially if you stay at Hilton's very often. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would stay again. We would only stay here with the room rate being under $100 cause while we enjoyed it, there are better places once you get to the higher rates. Big plus is that it is very family friendly. This hotel is very modern and if you prefer more tradition style then it may not be the right fit for you. read more

This was a new hotel when we visited and it was very clean inside. Kids loved the snack area down at the front desk and we also enjoyed the pool. The prices compared to the other hotels in the area was reasonable only a few dollars more and this one definitely seemed more of a nicer hotel for us.
