Stayed here on 11 August 2025 on my way to Colorado. First time staying at this hotel and so glad I chose it. The hotel was located right in the heart of St. George. There are restaurants in every direction and easy to get to. You definitely have to drive...the road isn't really walkable and especially in the dead of summer. There is ample parking all the way around the building and multiple exit doors and elevators at each end. This BW has clearly been renovated. The lobby was impeccably decorated and had an open coffee/tea bar and ice cold water with fruit added. There is also a well stocked market right near the front desk. When we checked in we got the floor I requested and the front desk person told us all about the amenities including a daily free happy hour in the building across from the lobby. We made our way to our room and got settled in. The room felt and smelled clean. The room was just what I wanted with two queen beds and an AC unit that worked to perfection. I love when there are multiple lamps around with different brightness settings including on the nightstand. The room was also equipped with a wet bar with fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Bathroom was stocked with loads of towels which is always preferred. We did check out the happy hour which was pretty good and yes included cocktails. If you stay don't skip it! The beds were super comfortable and I slept like a dog on a log. We got up early and departed. Our one night stay was just what we needed! Thank you, BW Abbey Inn! read more

Dog owners beware! This property was easiest the worst hotel I have ever stayed at with my dogs and I can confidently say we will not be back. There is no sound proofing of the walls. From 11 PM to 3 AM every few minutes you could hear people entering/exiting their rooms and the slammed door that followed. It would startle my dogs awake who would wake me up. Then the early birds are up around 6 and you can hear every single door. I got maybe 2-3 hours of sleep. Not ideal. Thankfully, our second night here was much better. There were more considerate neighbors that weren't slamming doors all night, but I still think that the general point stands that noise reduction needs to be improved at this hotel. I don't know why they would put the dog friendly rooms on the main floor where the most traffic is right by the ice machine. Terrible planning. You can hear every word of conversation that's happening outside your room. We were by the parking lot and had several car horns for locking and conversations overheard in the early morning hours. If I was the manager, I would put the dogs on the top floor as far away from noise and other people as possible. The room was supposed to be comfortable but the bed was hard and the pillowcases were like sandpaper. I am so glad that I brought my own pillow. The a/c unit that runs is so loud it can be disruptive when it clicks on in the middle of the night. The room advertises black out curtains. They are not. (See picture) as soon as the sun comes up the curtains are not black out. The only saving grace for this place was the breakfast was way better than your average bnb. The staff is friendly but the overall experience here is the worst I've had when traveling with my dogs. I highly recommend booking somewhere else. read more

Comfortable beds, fluffy pillows, and a great central location in St. George made this a convenient place to stay. The toilet paper, however, appeared to be sourced from the bargain bin of a 1980s gas station. By day two, we found ourselves genuinely excited to use public restrooms just to give our poor behinds a break from the trauma. The complimentary hot breakfast smelled absolutely amazing every morning and had us rushing downstairs full of hope. Unfortunately, after closer inspection, the quality didn't quite match the aroma, so we ended up dining elsewhere. On the bright side, the room had a nice big TV, which came in handy while recovering from our breakfast disappointment and toilet paper injuries. read more

This Bestwestern puts all the other Bestwestern Plus locations to shame. The decor was modern and well lit, the buildings and facilities were well maintained. The staff was above and beyond with their customer service. The breakfast food was amazing including the fresh omelet station. They had many other options as well. The room was spacious and very clean. The beds were your standard expectation of a hotel bed. read more

We stayed at the Abbey overnight twice during our road trip (up and back). It is a nice, clean and affordable place to stay. Breakfast was ok, omelet bar was good, bread products a little on the stale side. Overall a good place to stay in St. George. read more

Our room was perfect for what we needed. A little worried that the old fashioned air conditioner at the base of the window would not keep the room cold, but it was hooked up to a regular thermostat on the wall and did just fine. The staff was nice, we slept through breakfast, so can't comment. There were a TON of construction vehicles in the parking lot and it seemed quite full, but there was still plenty of spots. Beds were EXTREMELY comfortable, with lots of good pillows. There is a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and bar sink. Would stay again. read more

We stayed at this place for one night, for the St. George Half Marathon and Marathon the following day. Bedroom: Clean sheets. Soft pillows and memory foam type mattress. The air conditioning and heating were functioning properly. Bathroom: There were enough towels for 2 guests. Clean sink and shower. Hair dryer in the cubby. No hand soap though, we had to use the face soap provided. Service: The front desk staff was friendly. Early breakfast in lunch bags and shuttle transport were available for the St. George runners. They were able to accommodate our late check-out request. Parking: Free in the parking lot. read more

We live in Vegas and hubby surprised us by booking a weekend trip to St George. He said he had found a good deal on hotels.com and cross referenced Yelp. (Proud moment inserted here). I'll just list all the pros and cons to make this review easy. Pros: 1. Free parking with lots of places to eat nearby. 2. Checking in was super easy with friendly employee. 3. Room was clean and beds were very comfortable. I'm a germ freak so I still have to wipe everything down with Clorox wipes. 4. They had shampoo, conditioner and body wash hung up in the showers if you happen to forget your own. 5. They have a pool and hot tub with lots of seating all around. My kids had a blast in the pool. 6. There is also a gym and laundry facilities. 7. I have to say their free breakfast buffet was EPIC!!!! Like the BEST free breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. They had so much to choose from and the omelette station was awesome!!!!! Cons: 1. The room was a little outdated. But I heard they were in the process of remodeling. 2. The water pressure in the shower was terrible. It was like taking a shower from a faucet. That was a big miss for us, especially with 2 kids. 3. There could be more towels in the rooms, but that's just us. I'd stay here again, but fix the water pressure. read more

If you say it's a pet-friendly room, then you should probably specify that you only mean dog-friendly before I show up to my reservation with my cat that had just been in the car for 10 hours and hadn't been able to eat or use the bathroom all day long. And then inconvenience me by having to go find a different hotel that allowed cats. read more

I booked a very last minute stay at this hotel on my family's road trip to Zion. I haven't really stayed at Best Westerns in the past, but the price was decent and the hotel had solid reviews so I booked it. Out of all the hotels we stayed at through out our road trip, this was our favorite! The hotel room was spacious and very clean. The staff was very friendly and the amenities were decent. I checked out the gym at night and it was very clean. They even have a happy hour from 5-7p where they offered nachos, salad and free drinks. In the morning, they offer free breakfast and even had an omelette stand. I highly recommend this hotel if you're in the St. George area. read more

My 1st impression was outside . But once inside the building is Old. Talk about the rooms . They just remodel them but didn't fix much just paint on top of everything else. I had pre registered when in the got my room key. When we when upstairs the room was filthy it was dirty. When I had requested to make sure everything was well clean with alcohol and alcohol, due to my son having allergies. To have the sheets well clean no stains. The room was so small and everything was over crowded. It was totally the opposite. Of what they put on the pictures. They didn't attend my request online. Had to go downstairs to the lobby to complain. I was about to cancel my stay when the gentlemen in the from was nice enough to change my room to a luxury suite. On the other side of the building, Well we stayed. We got there everything was okey it was more spacious yeah it look clean. But I had to take out my cleaning supplies to do a Through cleaning. We left came back at 11pm the people next door were having a huge party throwing bottles in the walls making so much noise. We decide to go to bed when. I notice one of the beds where so stain disgusting!! The sheets were staying with yellowing hairs inside the sheet. Omgosh I had to just lay on top of the bed took out my own sheets. I call the front dest see if they can do something with the noise on the other side. Luckily they did and they brought New sheets but I didn't even bother to sleep in them. We stayed for 2 night over the weekend in a 2 queen beds. Breakfast was good. It's Like having breakfast at Dennys. Won't be staying here again. I use to work in housekeeping hotels and cleaning houses . So I know how the hotel system works. They don't clean half of the rooms ever. All The staff in the front lobby only were really polite and friendly specially understanding. But the manager needs to be in top of the cleaning groups. ASAP and change those beds. read more

When we arrived, there was only a very small amount of toilet paper in the bathroom. There were no backup rolls for our three day stay. There was a large hairball on the bathroom floor. Hairs were also found on the pillowcases and carpet. The paint and wood was badly chipped all over the room, and the wallpaper was also peeling. The light switches and plugs were grimy dirty, as were the doors and walls. The bathroom sink was stopped up and drained extremely slowly. The mattress made noise every time you moved, and it was terribly uncomfortable. The problems were reported to the front desk as we were leaving for dinner. When we returned from dinner, the front desk handed me a roll of toilet paper and when we got to the room, the hairs were still all over. They had not been cleaned up. read more

We were passing through and traveling to Colorado with our dog. The front desk staff were great and friendly. The room was very clean and to our surprise a dog bed, dog bowl eating area and dog treats and toy awaited our tired long journeyed dog. The breakfast was amazing as most included breakfast don't have an omelette station. Came here for a conference. I have to say, I'm super impressed. Next time I come down to st George I'll definately stay here. Everything was very clean, beds are comfy and AC is cold. What more could you ask for? Breakfast? Well, they have hands down the best breakfast I've had at a hotel. The biscuits and gravy and chicken fried steak are awesome! Like, it might be worth staying here just for the breakfast. The customer service I received was top notch. The gentleman working the check in desk was super nice and accommodating. At bed time my wife was cold, I called the front desk to see if we could get an extra blanket, within just a couple of minutes someone was at my door with a nice fleece blanket. This hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. We stayed in the older building that has not been renovated yet and although the rooms are dated they are very clean and well maintained. The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast with an omelette station, waffle station & tons of other options. The waffles were very good! The pool area was very fun with plenty of chairs to enjoy the beautiful outdoor weather and towels for guests to use. I would stay here again but I would probably pay the extra money to be in the newer tower. read more

This is our second time staying at the Abbey while driving across country with our dog. The place is amazing for a lot of reasons. First, they provide a dog bed, water/food bowls, a chew toy and some dog biscuits upon arrival. The rooms are very clean, towels are big and soft, and the bed comfortable. I have stayed at Best Westerns throughout the country (only Best Western Plus) and they offer the best breakfasts. They have an omelet station that is wonderful. They also have plain Greek yogurt (my favorite). The staff was very nice. I will definitely stay there again the next time I am in St. George. read more

During Covid times this is a great place to stay. I felt very comfortable here everything was clean everyone was doing their part to keep their distance and sanitize We stopped here on our long drive from the Bay Area CA to Arches National Park and was pleasantly impressed with our stay. For our first time in Utah that was a great place to stop everyone was hospitality perfect We had a king suite room rate was great the room was big enough and more for me and my husband We had room to social distance too not due to covid just after a long car ride nice to social distance if you know what I mean lol yeah been together for 36 years breaks are needed Their are plenty of places to grab a bite to eat within walking or driving distance. The breakfast buffet was great the hotel employees serve you they even have an omelette bar score along with scrambled eggs and bacon oatmeal cereal coffee. Did I mention coffee yes they have coffee which I needed desperately If your ever in need of a place to stay in the St George area this is a good choice read more

Best Western's have a pretty good reputation, so my expectations were along those lines. This particular King room far exceeds my expectations. Parking is ample and easy. My wife booked a room through suiteness.com and was told she was getting a 2 bedroom suite. They charged her 395.00 for the night. We arrived and found out it was a one bedroom suite, which would not work for 2 couples. They would not refund us a dime and offered us a 2 queen standard room instead. I also found out that the room we were given would have been 130.00 per night if we would have just walked in and booked the room instead of booking online. Was told management has no control over prices and bookings, and I have no choice but to suck it up and accept paying almost 400.00 dollars for a room that ultimately should be around 100.00. I never expected to be swindled so badly at a hotel with the best western name on it! read more

I stood here for a night very clean a nice pool area right off the freeway. The price was right, had the breakfast here this morning. GLEN was prepping everything I love people that go above and beyond and put love into what they do. The food was awesome. This summer, we stopped here for the night on our grand adventure and boy were we glad we did. We were in the separate building and our room was gorgeous. I loved the archway and the seating area near the window. It allowed the three of us to stretch out. Beds and pillows were comfy. Everything worked well in the bathroom area. You could order a bottle of wine to be delivered to your room when I was there. I did. It took awhile since they needed someone who was over 21 to deliver. So I wish I'd put in my request before we went to dinner. Parking was easy. The Abbey Inn is centrally located and easy to go off to other places. And we were impressed with the breakfast buffet. There were choices for everyone, and we left comfortably full. My daughter stayed here on her way back to SLC and felt safe even though she was a young woman on her own. Staff went out of their way to be helpful both times. We would stay here again. read more

We did a small weekend trip to St George and stay in this best western. It was a great place, freshly remodeled and we stayed in a 2 room suite that was great for families. Zach at the front desk was really polite and really helpful. They included breakfast and you had a HUGE variety. You could make your own waffles and they had a omelette station. This was an excellent hotel. The rooms were modern and clean. The breakfast in the morning was well rounded and probably above what you'd expect from a hotel breakfast. There was an issue with the billing and reservation when we extended our stay, but the front desk staff was extremely professional, friendly, and they fixed it without issue. Great hotel that is conveniently located 2 min drive or 7 min walk to lots of fast food and restaurants. The family fun center is minutes away. The hotel is older but very clean, beds are really comfortable. They offer a nice free breakfast, fresh and lots of options. My family all loved it. They also offer a happy hour certain nights that offers free sodas, nachos and a salad bar. The heated pool was great and they also have a large jacuzzi. Staff was all friendly and very helpful with everything throughout our stay. Overall a great experience we will be back! read more

Looks great on the outside and is also fantastic on the inside. Hotel met my expectations and I had a wonderful stay.

Outside the Best Western Abbey Inn looks like an older hotel and inside continues that trend. It is definitely dated and could stand for a complete overhaul. But despite the dated architecture and furnishings the hotel is still clean and pretty nice inside. I stayed here a few weeks ago on a business trip to St. George and my stay was A-OK. My room was a little more modern than what I saw of the rest of the hotel, with newer, more modern looking furnishings. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were too thick and being a side sleeper too thick for my neck. I ended up using a blanket for a pillow which worked but wasn't ideal or very comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly as was the breakfast staff. Speaking of breakfast the Best Western Abbey Inn serves up a lot more than your usual continental breakfast found at other hotels. For breakfast they had eggs over easy and scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles (that you make yourself), fruit, cereal, yogurt, juices and milk, coffee, and a bunch of other stuff I forgot. The selection was impressive but in my opinion the food wasn't. Maybe I'm just picky but I've never particularly impressed with hotel breakfast buffets. The food is always pretty mediocre and it is rarely warm or hot... I think eating barely warm eggs is gross. But they did have a lot more to offer than other hotels, so it is a good value for the price I guess... If you are usually content with hotel breakfast's you might enjoy their buffet well enough. Like many hotels the Best Western Abbey Inn offers an exercise room and pool area. If I remember there were two treadmills, maybe a stair machine, and some weights? The room was pretty small so there wasn't much equipment. The pool was outside but it was heated and actually pleasant despite it being January. The hot tub was located in an adjacent room off the pool deck and because it was inside it got really steamy in the room. I would have preferred they had an outdoor hot tub, but the indoor one was fine. Every time I've stayed in St. George the Internet has always been terrible and the wireless at the Best Western was no exception... it was REALLY slow and pretty much unusable. Thankfully I could use my phone for answering business emails but having workable Internet for my laptop would have been nice. Hotels in St. George really need to get that figured out. All and all the Best Western Abbey Inn was a good hotel. Next time I stay in St. George I will probably opt for someplace a little newer such as the Wingate down the highway a few miles or the Hilton Garden Inn. If you're looking for a decent hotel and the price for the Best Western Abbey Inn fits your budget book it. I think you'll be perfectly happy (unless you need to use the Internet or are picky about breakfast.) read more

My aunt and I stayed here for one night just passing through and paid around $130 including tax for the night. This room looks like something out of the 1980's. The microwave had a windup dial situation going on..which was weird. The bathroom lights were on a timer..haven't seen that in a long time either. The beds: Back pain was real waking up from sleeping on an old SPRING mattress. Spring mattresses should be outlawed. Pillows didn't bother me, but weren't anything above average. My aunt did complain of neck pain when she woke up. My major issue with this hotel room is that our door didn't properly latch. With enough force you could pull the door straight open. We just kept the deadbolt and security lever shut at all times. It was a little weird when we arrived to our room that the door was already open! My aunt made the executive choice to not go back to the front desk and swap rooms. Just be aware strange things like this happen at a hotel that obviously has never been renovated. For $130 we could (and should) have stayed at a more reputable hotel chain. Employees were nice. WiFi, parking, and breakfast are all free. Overall won't stay here again. :( read more
