Overall Treatment Was Disappointing and Dismissive -- While my orthodontic treatment led to improvement, the overall experience left me disappointed. Throughout treatment -- and even afterward -- it often felt like patient feedback wasn't truly welcomed. I understand orthodontists are the experts, but patients know what they're feeling in their own mouths. Bringing up concerns or suggestions shouldn't be viewed as controlling or being difficult-- it should be met with guidance and collaboration. Even an assistant at one of my appointments noticed the same issue I was seeing. However, it seems like with the doctors, I have to mention the concern over 2-3 appointments before they believe me and any action is taken. That process became mentally exhausting and emotionally draining. A friend who was also treated here mentioned feeling uncomfortable asking questions, and I completely understood how she was feeling. Even possible suggestions on treatment plans came across as being a nuisance, and that made it hard to feel comfortable speaking up -- which shouldn't be the case when undergoing such a personal and expensive treatment. At the end of the day, patients deserve to be heard. I was respectful and reasonable throughout. But there seems to be a perception that both doctors believe that I'm being particular or being too difficult. Dr. Taz and Dr. Elhady are skilled and knowledgeable. But the overall experience was very negative. While the doctors were outwardly polite, it often felt like the friendliness was just surface-level. I couldn't shake the feeling that behind the smiles, I was being labeled as difficult simply for trying to understand my treatment better by asking questions and raising the concerns I had. The overall experience was very negative and draining. It seems like this practice cares more about metrics and getting cases done as fast as possible instead of being patient-focused and truly listening to concerns without judgment. I hope this review prompts the practice to prioritize genuinely listening to patients and addressing their concerns with greater patience, empathy, and a more positive attitude. read more

This is for the front desk service. This is the 3rd time I have to come back to fix my daughters brackets. The front desk wasn't helpful at all after I clearly explained that my daughter was upset as it hurts and she need to keep coming back before her regular appointment. Front desk keep saying you don't want her to come in. Really???? Again she is upset on my car. They keep saying when they call her in and she goes to her chair you can talk to the Orthodontist. Still here waiting 15 minutes later. What's the whole point on having an appt. I also called the after hours number yesterday and no answer After taking my daughter back a few times they finally put in her braces. Apparently the glue doesn't work well on her. If you are looking for good results there are many better orthodontists in NOVA. My advice for whichever orthodontist you choose is don't go with invisalign because it's not nearly as efficient at correcting the bite as traditional braces. With metal braces it's possible to create a perfect bite whereas invisalign its very hit or miss. I had invisalign treatment with Dr. Elhady and my bite became very misaligned. Since then I've started metal braces with another doctor and my bite is much better. My rating is based only on the results of my treatment. The prices and general friendliness of the practice is great. read more

Dr. Elhedy was my daughter's orthodontist, and I wish my son had him also - he's very professional, nice, and has an organized system in his office. He took over from Lina Johnson's practice, and she was well-known to be a top orthodontist in our area. My understanding, from her personnel, who continued on with Elhedy, is that she was very particular about who she was transferring her business over, and Elhedy made the cut. After taking my son to another Orthodontist, I wish we had found this practice sooner! What a difference! My daughter had a number of complicated issues including an oral surgery. Everything was straightened out so quickly, I am amazed. She still has a way to go but her smile is already beautiful. The staff has patiently explained each step and made her feel comfortable. Love this Orthodontics office, I'm only sad I didn't know about them when I first moved to this area. I called the office today in a panic! I had braces in my 40's and really had to put alot of effort and attention into by treatment program. Eight set's of rubber bands and intensive headgear at night. When I got them removed a year ago I became obsessive about my retainer. Well Friday morning I left my retainers on a restaurant table and they ended up in the trash! I was besides myself. This morning I called Elhady orthodontics, I had heard about them from a friend of mine, almost in tears. The front office could not have been nicer and helpful. They got me in this morning, I got my retainer made and am elated. Lynn, Debbie and Tosha were amazing! Just FYI, I had contacted another Orthodontist in the Springfield area and they told me they couldn't see me until Wednesday and they were going to charge me an additional $150 for the same retainers!
