A few friends of mine recommended Power Tan, and their reviews online were the best in the area. So, I gave it a try. When I walked in, I met the gal at the front desk: Martha. What a sweetheart she is (!), and knowledgable about their equipment and why they stand out over their competitors a block down the street. She did recommend the monthly and VIP tanning packages and explained why spending more money would actually save me money in the long run. But, I'm not one who wants to have dark skin like I did when I was younger. I just like the relaxation of tanning and hope it will help control my eczema. Martha never tried to power sell me or push any fancy lotions on me. She respected my wishes and helped me find the best package for my needs. She answered all of my questions and was patient with me, and I got a free tan for my first time! The place is small and the decor leaves something to be desired, and the rooms themselves could use some cheering up, but the facility is clean, the service is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Power Tan is a great place to beat the winter blues!

I had surgery back in 2022, and I was able to put my package on hold until I was able to tan again. Right now, I bought a package several days before I broke my ankle. Again, I was able to put my package on hold. The attendants are very nice and helpful. I tan, not just for my vanity, but because I suffer from depression and find tanning, even once a week, helps tremendously. There are tanning salons all over nearer to me, but will continue to patronize Aloha. Their bulbs are always like new, and the variety of bed levels is impressive.​

Lovette has been cutting my hair since I was 17 years old and has become more then just a hair stylist over the years she is a trusted riend! I am super picky about my hair, but can safely say that I would trust any one of the stylists at the Strand to work on me if I can't get in with Lovette. The Strand offers, hair cutting, styling, highlights/lowlights, perms, conditioning treatments, tanning and manicures/pedicures. They also sell a lot of great professional products as well. I feel that the Strand's prices are fair and are pretty comparable to other similar salons. They also have a great referral program. FIVE STAR Michelle and the team gave us the whole salon in the morning to get ready for my wedding - even opening the tanning rooms for extra changing rooms for my girls. They took photos of us while we were getting ready that we wouldn't have gotten to have otherwise and made us feel so at home - even providing breakfast! When we were finished we were invited to wait in the salon until the limo showed up and didn't feel rushed at all. The hairstylists worked with any style we wanted and my bridal updo as well as all my bridesmaids and MOB were beautifully done and stayed in place all the way through the reception. I couldn't have asked for a better hair team or day-of experience. ONE STAR Unfortunately, I have to give their makeup services one star - two of my girls were near tears with how they looked after their makeup was applied and felt that the stylist didn't listen to what they wanted at all. All my bridesmaids ended up taking the makeup back off and my MOH and I helped them with what I'd brought in my makeup bag while the artist gave us the stink-eye. The artist also sprayed hairspray in-between the layers of the girls' dresses to help with static and ended up leaving a huge spot on my MOH's dress that she couldn't get out. OVERALL I would say go here for hair! But do your own makeup.

I've never had any issues, my lashes are always full and beautiful. They always last a long time you do not need to get them filled all the time. Lacey is super nice and always listens to your wants whether you want more natural or very full and voluminous. I have never had any issues with scheduling my follow up appointments even though she has a lot of clients. She's always flexible in regards to your schedule. Morgan is extremely nice as well! I haven't gotten my lashes done by her but whenever I'm in while she has a client, everyone is very satisfied with how their lashes turn out. I definitely recommend!!!!
