Tanning beds are great, but DO NOT go to Avon location. The manager is aweful. She is argumentative, cold, and just plain rude! My husband bought a big package and due to health issue she would not let him transfer credits to me. Had a membership due to i loved the place. Had emergency situation arise due to Domestic violence and had to move 1.5 hours away within 3 days. Owner would NOT refund the monthly membership they took out before i had a chance to regroup and stop it. Very non empthatic. read more

What a HUGE disappointment! This year, they talked me into a monthly $29.99 package, cancel at any time, charged me an additional $20 sign up fee. They told me to cancel before the end of the month to not get charged for the next month, which I did. So, thinking I had a full 30 days to tan, they let me tan for 2 weeks, but I paid over $40. Today they said, well, you cancelled your membership. Seriously? $40? I will not tan there again, I will not recommend. What a bummer. read more

This is the only place I go! Staff is always very kind, NEVER PUSHY, which I love! Place is always clean, especially during Covid. I usually go in the late morning so there is rarely anyone else there. I can't really speak for any other time. I also think the places are reasonable, especially since they have new beds. My friend said she had a bad experience when trying to get a spray tan -- said girl wasn't very helpful or knowledgeable. I've only done a spray tan here once or twice but never had a problem. The staff was very helpful and polite when helping me decide what package would be best for me, and they even ended up saving me a few bucks based on their recommendation. The staff showed me how the beds work and explained the different levels and timing. The facility, beds, and the overall atmosphere is clean and welcoming. I have been going here for about as long as they've been open. I have the VIP package and spend a good amount of money here each month. I used to LOVE to go tanning not just bc of how much it helped my pain and fibro but bc the customer service experience was amazing and the girls always made me feel so welcome and like family. HOWEVER, I'm not sure if management has changed in the past few months or what but now I completely loath going here. I have to psych myself up just to go.. the lady at the front desk is so insanely Rude and makes me feel as if I'm a nuisance and a bother to her. I always leave there feeling down instead of uplifted and positive. If there were any other tanning places around I would switch for sure. Tired of giving SO much money to someone to just be treated like a bother. The equipment is nice and it's a clean facility but to me customer service is everything. JUST BE NICE !! read more

This place is conveniently located on Detroit, with plenty of parking. The girls that work the counter are typically friendly, and will answer questions about the beds. The salon is clean clean clean. They have a good selection of bed types/levels. I have been going here a year, and have had to wait ONE time for a high end bed. Product prices are typical for a tanning salon..crazy high. However, they offer specials frequently, and I'm sure there is still a profit for the salon. They also have generous hours. I have not experienced a time where I was disappointed that they were closed. read more

Where do I start with this place, I've been going here in the winter for 2 years now, in that time I've had more aggravation then you could possibly imagine. To start I wanted to cancel me and my boyfriend's package for the summer because it just wasn't necessary when I want to do so I got major attitude from the manager and was told I could not cancel my boyfriends package because it wasn't in compliance with State Board. Listen I get it, State Board can be a pain in your rear but they had absolutely no problem ignoring state board when I signed him and I up, weird how when I'm giving them money their attitude changes on following state regulations. She said the only way she could override this was by getting approval from the owner, great then, why don't you give him a call? She said she could not do that....makes sense may I call him then? They did not disclose that information. Of course. So I asked the "manager" who had no authority somehow what I was supposed to do? She said she would speak with the other manager, in which don't get me wrong has always been very nice and accommodating. She called me back about 10 minutes later apologized for the situation said she would discontinue the membership for us both And put the credit back on my account for the membership fee that had already been payed for the month. Also small disclaimer this went down at the Rocky River location in which...it's safe to say I never went back to after the shenanigans. Fast forward to next Fall I go to the Clifton location to restart my membership for the cold months ahead. I decided to go down to the "Gold" package after the incredibly rude woman recommended it to me because I only use the medium level beds and I didn't need to pay for the "platinum" package. Sounds awesome so I hand over my credit card once again....then I immediately get a charge for $10...what's this? Oh it's an activation fee in which I didn't have to pay last time I signed up, she claimed the rule had changed and there wasn't a thing she could do, so I continue signing up...you win some you lose some you guess. That was a huge mistake, considering the very next day I got a text about their "New Years sale" in which the activation fee would be free, so why couldn't she of told me to just come back tomorrow?? There is strike two kids. Now mind you I don't tan much, maybe once a week and the beds are cleaned and all in working order including new bulbs so I just put up with the rude staff. Until today, I get into the room after signing in with Sara which in my opinion is the only person there that has ever been truly nice. And I get a charge for $4.70 so I do my tanning and I inquire on it as I left, she said my package did not include medium level beds...only low level so it was an extra charge, super weird considering I was recommended this package because I only use medium level beds and I was promised it would be included in the "gold" package. She did her best to accommodate the mishap but at that point I had had enough today I canceled my membership there and I will not return. It's really a shame because there tanning equipment is top notch and the location is killer for me, but I just can't put up with everyone being so wishy washy. I have worked in customer service for years and it's truly not hard to be semi decent to people, maybe that's something that should be taught to the staff. read more

The beds here are the best in the area. Living near downtown Cleveland I have to drive to get to any tanning salon making me want to find the best high level beds. And they delivered. Air conditioning, misting, and I can plug in my own tunes?! Sign me up. The staff has also always been super helpful and honest. I appreciate them also taking my no for an answer! I like to visit Neon Beach Tanning when I need a spray tan. I have been a client here for years, and I keep coming back for the sales they offer when you buy several spray tans at once. I also like that you can upgrade your tan with a primer and moisture spray if you would like. There is only one spray tan booth (Pura Sunless) available but there is rarely a wait for it. The staff are attentive and the facility is always very clean. More recently they "fixed" the heater in their spray tan machine which has greatly improved the experience. read more

Overall a good atmosphere to tan. My bed is always available and ready when I go tanning and the staff is very friendly most of the time. Natalie (associate) does an excellent job of selling tanning lotions and offering promotions to customers who do packages. The bulbs are always hot and changed relatively often. They do provide discounts on lotions and tanning packages when purchased. Make sure to prepay or get a tanning package if you tan often. It will SAVE YOU A LOT OF MONEY. If you buy lotions you get 30% the lotions and free upgrade in tanning beds. I usually come up 2-3 shades darker when I go in. The beds do vary between the Rocky River location and the Avon Lake location so beware when tanning. read more

I was looking for a decent but not to expensive tanning salon in the area. I wanted to get some color before my up coming wedding. This salon is the best I have ever been to. Always clean, staff is super friendly and courteous. I have purchased both the regular bed tanning package as well as the spray tan package. I prefer the Clifton location over the Rocky River location. The low pressure beds at the Rocky River location are older style which isn't a big deal but along with the older style.. they seem to not have as much power so the beds don't get as hot as I am used to. The more powerful low pressure beds at the Clifton location cost the same amount. read more

While the beds are top notch and the salon is sparkling clean I have a issues with the staff. While I did my time in customer service I always made it a point to make sure that I greeted everyone that walked through the door and I don't feel like that's the priority of the staff at the salon. The prices aren't awful seeing as how they use high end beds with bulbs that are replaced pretty regularly and the Pura Sunless is amazing. But again, none of that matters if the staff isn't creating the right atmosphere. I've left on several occasions where there is a group of girls at the front talking rather than making sure the beds are clean, guests are checked in and don't need anything else, etc.. I've been going to Four Seasons for some time now and they recently just changed over to Neon Beach. My issue- I usually buy an individual tanning session each time I go, but the lady convinced me to buy a week package of unlimited beds, meaning I can try whichever one each time I go in. I bought it on the 8th, went in on the 13th and was told my package expired. I tanned only once during my "week" & it was on the day I bought it. The lady argued with me saying no I bought it on the 5th. When I didn't and even checked my bank account and showed it to her as I was standing there. They gave me a "free" tan but said that it did indeed expire. Well for one, that's a really shitty deal if I'm going to pay $41 for a week of tanning and not actually get it. Two, if they think a week of tanning means that you have to go tanning consecutively for 7 days, then they're out of their minds. That's unhealthy to go 7 days in a row. Three, the lady who convinced me to buy this package said I'd be saving money, cause buying ones individually everytime I come in equals to about $15 a session, but in reality I just paid $41 for one session. I will not be continuing my business here. I already miss Four Seasons. It's a shame. read more

I have been searching for the best tanning salon since I moved to the area and I have finally found it! By far the cleanest place I've ever tanned, friendly and courteous employees, virtually no wait time for beds, perfect tanning results EVERY time (it is very hard for my skin to tan), new bulbs frequently, clean towels and eyewear with every session, they have multiple levels of beds for each skin type, everything always works (music, bulbs, sprayers, fans, sound, etc.), AND they have reasonable prices. I pay $40/month for unlimited/any bed tanning and an automatic discount on lotions! Love love love love this place :) read more

I have been tanning at neon beach for probably 7 years now, and it's the best tanning salon. The beds are awesome, and they replace the bulbs frequently. They also keep it pretty simple with their packages and levels of tanning beds. I don't think that you can beat the $40 a month deal for unlimited tanning in any level bed while also getting 40% off lotion. The girls are always super nice! read more
