Sorry, but I had to write a review after seeing True Blue attack some fellow Yelpers accusing them of "fake" one-star reviews. Well, here's another one for your collection. I tried this service in my quest to find a new housekeeper and they did such a poor job that they were not invited back for a second visit. The initial cleaning, which was supposed to be thorough, was anything but. They did not clean under furniture or wipe down the trim as instructed. The one thing they DID do was something I explicitly told them not to... they wiped down my antique wood floors with Murphy's Oil Soap after I told them in very clear language not to put anything on them and to only use the Swiffer wet mop I specifically put out for that purpose. When I came back home and saw what they had done I was horrified... not only is it terrible for my floors, it filled the cracks with oily gunk and made them so slick that they were a safety hazard. I had to wipe all of the floors down with vinegar after they left so we wouldn't fall down the stairs. All I can think is that the people writing five-star reviews have either very low expectations or don't have any experience for comparison. read more

They really are as good as it gets. They are a small, family-owned business, which is what made me choose them. We have them come every other Friday and I wake up those days and can't wait to get home! My mother, who is disabled, lives with us and is at home when True Blue comes to clean. She has nothing but nice things to say about Lynette and family. She has quite the eagle eye and can be tough to please when it comes to a clean house, but True Blue meets her standards. They are always kind to her and take the time to say hello. True Blue really goes the extra mile. They move the tables to properly sweep and mop and they've even cleaned the inside of my 'fridge. It's such a pleasant surprise to come home from work and open up a nice, clean 'fridge. If there is ever a problem where you feel they missed something, you can simply email them and they'll promptly respond and make sure it doesn't happen again. read more

This is by far the best cleaning company I have ever used! We are about to sell our house in Altadena, and needed a deep cleaning. My husband called a few services in the area.Most were not available when we needed them (we waited too long to call). A few gave us very high bids. Then my husband called Lynn. She was so friendly, cordial and patient with him! She not only was able to work with our schedule, she bent over backwards to make sure the job would be able to be completed in the time frame we needed. The place sparkled like I had never seen it, and all I could think was, "I wish we could move back in!" Tue Blue Maids and the owner Lynette have to be the worse cleaning company that I've ever come in contact with. 1 star is giving them too much credit but it looks like that's my only option. When I called for a cleaning service quote, Lynette was charming and made it clear that she meets with her staff and fully informs them of the services requested. She quoted me a price, which I accepted and we made the appt. The staff showed up 1 day early than they were supposed to, which should've been a sign. She had emailed the details and date to me. oh well maybe just a mistake... Her staff showed up and didn't do what was requested. I'm going to assume that took a wet towel and wiped over everything because that was the extent. My bathrooms were left uncleaned, literally. The kitchen counter and such were wiped over I guess, but the stove, refrigerator, cabinets...weren't cleaned. I was VERY clear & detailed on the specifics of the job.I wasn't home and Lynette assured me that everything would be as requested. Lynette used excuse after excuse and had a very strange demeanor about herself and didn't seem to understand how unhappy I was with the results. I would never recommend the services of this company. Lynette's communication and customer service style is very strange to say the least. I have never written ad negative reviews of any company prior to this because I look at it as perhaps they just had a bad day, just a fluke. This time due to the extremely negative experience I had with Lynette and her company, this was something I had to do. read more
