I expressed that these nails were for an important event and that didn't change the way they kept rushing us out. Ultimately gave up and fixed whatever I could by myself at home. Nails also came off 48 hours later.

Both women have done my nails in the past and they always come out great. I get a regular mani/pedi and it's less than $30 (without tip). You can't beat that! I like that the salon is cozy and low-key; there's only usually Sophie, Maria, and two clients inside at a time, so with COVID, I feel a lot safer. Also, Sophie is really meticulous about sanitization and cleanliness: she makes everyone wash their hands right when they walk in the door, and wipes down every surface after a client is finished. Both of them wear masks and have plastic shields at the nail stations so there's a barrier between the two of you. They also do waxing here, but I haven't tried it since I do my own waxing at home. But it seems like there's a good number of people who come in for waxing services. Logistics: Appointments are needed, so make sure to call ahead before dropping in. Street parking is available, but during peak business hours you may need to park down the block a bit (I've always found a spot). You won't regret coming here and supporting this small business!

I called the salon to find out why since I hadn't been called or told why. The woman who answered said it was because of my history of cancelling my appointments, upon telling her the circumstances of why I had to cancel my previous appointments, she was rude, demeaning and chose to berate me on rescheduling and then cancelling and thought I would cancel again so didn't want to take my appointment. She didn't want to even give me a chance. I honestly felt sad that I was treated this way, I was sad for all moms and I was sad that a primarily women focused business would choose to treat prospective customers like this. They could have called me to ask if I would make it, they could have followed their own policy and if I did cancel again, charge me. But instead they chose to berate me for taking care of my child over running to my nail appointment.
