I had a referral from my doctor to see a dermatologist at True Dermatology on Tuesday afternoon. When I arrived, the check-in process was simple and quick. After a few minutes, a nurse called me in, took my information, and told me to wait for the dermatology practitioner. The practitioner, Jason, came in and I showed him the skin problem on my back. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the visit. He briefly looked at the rash, told me to come back next month for a skin biopsy, and said they would send the sample to a lab. The whole appointment lasted only a few minutes, and I left without a clear explanation of what caused the rash or what I could do in the meantime. Overall, the experience felt rushed and not very professional. I expected a more thorough examination and better communication about my condition and next steps. read more

I've been seeing Dr Sung to take care of some skin issues recently and all I have to say is he's knowledgeable and is quite helpful. His staff is courageous and somewhat knowledgeable but ultimately you'll need to ask Dr Sung and he'll give you his professional response and guide you to a positive end result. I've been here roughly 10x and in each appointment he and his staff are professional and has explained each procedure to me and what it entails to improve my well being. The outside of the building may look old but entering into the office it's clean and it's modern. Though I'd have to say after each time I've gone in to do a procedure I've noticed some dead skin from other patrons that I wish they'd clean up after each procedure. The protective eyewear I feel hasn't been properly wiped with disinfectant which kinda bothers me at times but I just go with the flow and disinfect my face after I leave just in case. Ample parking in the back and they have their own dedicated pharmacy downstairs to pickup meds they prescribe. Come and give Dr. Calvin Sung a try for your skin care needs. read more

Went to go see Dr Sung last week for hairloss.I tried minoxidil from Costco didn't really work. Iv been shedding since I had my first kid. I called couple places and only this place offer injectable hairloss. I've never tried PR but they have hair injectable that doesnt require blood draw. Really glad tried true hair therapy because it works. Previously I Had gone to multiple doctors who just tell me to use topical rogaine. Dr. Calvin takes his time to really figure out from my hair loss history while other so called hair loss experts just tried to sell me their supplements (which I regret falling for). Their $8/u Botox special is the real deal! The location wasn't upscale like a med spa but rather an actual medical clinic (most patients there were there for medical reasons). Tbh I Was expecting an upsell or package or catch, but it was straight it's $8 no package or anything. It was the real deal. The injector was super gentle, they used a super tiny needle that was smaller than anything I have ever seen, although I am not exactly scared of needles but it was 0.5/10 in terms of pain but hands down 10/10 experience. Entire injection was only one minute long, quick and painless and no wait. read more

This is my new dermatology clinic. Dr. Sung takes the time to examine my conditions and provide the appropriate treatment. Very professional and knowledgeable. I had a different dermatologist a long time ago, but was unable to get an appointment until months later, I can also go to USC as well, but again, the appointment are long. I thought I give Dr. Sung a try. Made the right decision. I had a few spots which I was concerned it was skin cancer. He use nitro oxide and frozen it. It all fine now. Ive been having problems with my hair and begin researching different clinics. I made an appointment with True Dermatology and scheduled for Saturday morning. The process was very straightforward, i signed up on a tablet for the initial registration confirming my personal information. After confirming my appointment, the assistant drew blood for my PRP treatment. It took around 10 minutes for the PRP machine to finish processing. After, Dr. Sung performed the PRP treatment. The process was very quick. After a couple months, the recommendation of medication and PRP treatment by Dr. Sung has increased my hair growth significantly. It is not so much as the main office but one particular doctor Calvin Sung dermatologist. He is the epitome of young, couldn't care less for his patient, in and out rush, egotistical doctor. Went for an appointment for a scab on my toe and I swear he came in, talked fast, recommended a treatment and tried to walk out all in less than2 minutes. I would rate him negative stars if I can. horrible place, the rooms are all hot. my experience in clinics and hospitals are usually cold places, I didn't even have a sweatshirt on and I wasn't cold. cause my whole nasal passages to flare up to where I started having attacks, so the procedure coldnt be finished. they wasted my days pay from work, I got shaved and cut open just to be sent home with a big whole in my head, no stitches ,on the way out they said keep it dry. hope I can post photos read more

Dr. Sung was able to take my husband in for a concerning mole on his face that came back benign. My husband was very concerned about it but Dr. Sung put his mind at ease. I had a bad milia breakout that wasn't going away and I went to Dr. Sung for treatment. He prescribed me a gentle retinol that helped make it disappear completely. I also talked to him about starting tretinoin but since it was my first time using a medical grade retinol and because of my concerns with purging, he advised me to start with a more gentle retinol and then eventually work my skin up to the tretinoin. I really appreciate how he took the time to address all my concerns and helped me find a good plan for my skin! Will be going to him again when I start my tretinoin! read more

I was recommended here by my family doctor, overall i had a pleasant experience. They told me i was misdiagnosed for ringworm when i had scalp dermatitis. The receptionist who picked up the phone was very nice, and unlike other offices there were no forms to fill out as a new patient. The staff took me to the room and did the questionnaires on an IPAD, which i thought its very new. I was in and out in 10 minutes which is perfect because i don't want to be gone too long i am working from home after all. He may come off nice at first but that's just a con. Dr. Sung was an absolute game changer for me. He was super attentive and listened to my concerns when I mentioned I noticed hair thinning - he very confidently and quickly had many amazing innovative solutions that a year later has had outstanding results. He did a new injectable form of minoxidil and put me on a maintenance dosed medication and I'm so happy with how everything's turned out. Many MDs are quick to RX DHT blockers, but Dr. Sung explained very well alternative options i was conformable with. I was also late to my appointment and his wife who runs the front desk was so kind and understanding and managed to get me in promptly. Best family run Derm I will forever go to!
