Our venue was in Easton, WA (right outside of Cle Elum area) and it was hard finding local vendors since Easton really isn't much of a city. We came across Gather Leavenworth on Wedding Wire, hopped on the phone with them, didn't look elsewhere and went with Gather. They were more than happy to travel! We hired them pre-pandemic with an original wedding date of 9/26/2020, but then had to postpone to 2021, and they were super easy to work with! Even though we hired them for day-of-wedding coordination, they had a lot of wedding tools you can utilize months before, that I wish we utilized more. But with the pandemic, we were thrown in to a bit of a funk with wedding planning. Gather sent reminder emails throughout the planning and they were so helpful! They came out the day before our wedding to run the rehearsal and go through all the decor and everything. Then day of wedding, everything went so smoothly! Not only did she help us with the basics of day-of coordinating and decor, she also ordered and rented any decor items we decided we needed and allowed us to ship items to her in order to reduce our workload. The week of the wedding she took over all vendor communications and was committed to ensuring our week was relaxing and stress-free. She helped us run a quick and smooth rehearsal, and it felt like she and her assistant, Rachel, were absolutely everywhere on the day of the wedding. We ended up buying their cheese and cracker plate which was delicious and so much better than their neighbor winery - $1 for 1 ounce of triscuit or rice crackers to clean our palates! The neighbor winery charged $50 per tasting while Larc charged $15. Their wine was so much better! The owners were so friendly, open and were great storytellers. So much fun spending the afternoon with these folks. This was definitely the best winery that we experienced in Chelan and we ended up loading the car with cases of their wine.

We utilized the lake, Shoreline jet ski rentals on site, outdoor swimming pools and the playsets for our younger kids. They had trailer parking for our friends boat which was nice and we could rent boats and jet skis there too. No restaurants on site. The town of Chelan has some good places to eat and so does the town of Manson which is a short drive from the Condo: We loved our view from the Condo. Super clean and super friendly place.

Another nice surprise was the "continental breakfast" actually turned out to be a full breakfast. Our stay was Memorial Day weekend, the room cost was $490 per night. The hotel became very crowded quickly, the parking lot was overfull, the breakfast lounge had consistent lines with food/drinks running out ongoing rotation. The main bedroom sits directly against the outside walkway so you hear a lot of noise, if you open the window blinds everybody who walks by can look in & the AC unit cooled the room well but was obnoxiously noisy to run. The location is too far outside the town of Chelan which makes it a long unpleasant walk in the heat. I would still recommend this hotel, ideally not during such a busy weekend.

My family has been coming to Darnell's every summer for the past 11 years. This place used to feel…read morelike a second home to us, but over time, we've watched the quality of service steadily decline--and it's been heartbreaking. The staff have become noticeably colder and less accommodating. Something as simple as asking for basic kitchen utensils--items you'd reasonably expect in a unit with a full kitchen--is treated like a huge inconvenience. We've had to ask for things like spatulas or pots just to cook a basic meal, and each time we were met with eye rolls or annoyed tones, as if we were asking for something outrageous. One moment that really stuck with me was while we were filling out paperwork in the office. I was joking around with my adult children--just laughing and enjoying the moment--and the woman behind the desk shot us such a nasty look, it instantly soured the mood. That kind of attitude has become more and more common with each visit. The location is still beautiful, and the property itself has a lot of potential, but the way guests are treated now doesn't match the price or the experience we used to love. After 11 summers, we've decided this was our last. It's disappointing to say goodbye to a place that once held so many good memories.

Customer beware! Our contract was written to put entire burden on us while allowing LCWR to rent…read moreequipment that is not fit for grass (unstable) or moisture (not water/weather proof) assumed during an outdoor wedding. Our wooden picture frames (designed for indoor use but they were inexpensive so we didn't mind using them) were not damaged from rain but somehow their wooden equipment (advertised as adequate for outdoor wedding verbally, via email, and on LCWR website) was damaged and the burden was put on us weeks later - possibly after renting to other parties. LCWR admitted to not having insurance or a warranty on their equipment. The contract seems to be set up for LCWR to profit from weather related "acts of god". The contract calls for LCWR to be immune from "acts of god" but consumer assumes "full responsibility for weather related damages". Read VERY CAREFULLY before signing. Other detailed concerns: 1) Bar was poorly assembled upon delivery. Unstable and falling apart. Groomsmen had to spend 1/2 hr fixing the structure of the bar so it could be moved / hold drinks without falling apart. 2) Dance floor was not assembled properly upon delivery. Groomsmen had to spend 1/2 hr taking floor apart and re-securing pieces back together. Orange caution tape was applied by groomsmen in order to avoid trip hazard created by dance floor which would not stay together. 3) Flatware was delivered dirty and stained by rental company. This was discovered upon wedding day. Groom and family had to wash each piece by hand with cold water and cloth the day of the wedding. 4) LCWR crew was witnessed tearing table cloths from tables and throwing them with all contents from the tables onto the wet grass. Candle holders were on the tables and were broken from being thrown to the ground. 5) LCWR owner admits that dance floor was not meant to be set up on grass. Dance floor pieces would not lock together properly and were unstable to walk on, creating safety hazard and preventing proper use of equipment. Based on research (interview/online resources), best practice when setting up dance floor on grass is to put sub-floor underneath in order to improve stability, keep pieces dry and together. Lake Chelan Wedding Rentals failed to provide/set up a dance floor that is usable for an outdoor wedding. Feel free to send me a private message if you have questions about this review. They were kind enough to send us photos of what we could expect things to look like as well! Jeff and Gwen were really kind and worked within our budget to help us plan the perfect set up. We really wanted the dance floor in between two tents with string lights hung across both tents and we were SO happy that they could make that happen for us. They accidentally delivered the wrong color chargers which we realized the evening before the wedding but were very responsive and delivered the correct ones by the time we arrived on the day of the wedding!
