Santiago is a kind gentlemen, an honest businessman, and a knowledgeable mechanic. These qualities are hard to come by in the same person in car mechanics these days as it seems. Costs of fixes are always reasonable. Labor is $100/hr and seems like they don't even charge for diagnostics. He's helped me diagnose things that he thought wasn't necessary at the moment, and just charged me for my oil change. Nobody is perfect though - there was a complicated EVAP issue which required me to come back quite a few times for him to finally figure out the root cause, but he was so kind and helped me out by charging me minimal hours of labor as compared to the time he and his team had actually put in. I first had my car service at True Family Auto after my alternator and battery died. Santiago was helpful, affordable, and fast. After being told the wrong information by a previous mechanic, Santiago gave me the information I needed, and a ride home! When I left, he told me I would need some suspension work done. After he repaired a headlight for me, I bought new tires and need a wheel alignment. But before I could get my alignment, I needed suspension work done! So back to Santiago I went! I stopped by there today just to have Santiago look at a potential problem and he diagnosed that my rear bearings were shot (Toyota Prius with 190,000 miles).
