I suggest what I felt the car needed and explained my situation to Robert Johnson, Store Manager. I told him the car was pulling for a while now and I had messed up my tires so much so that the car would slide in wet pavement. I needed to leave the car to my son, who is a new driver and couldn't leave it in that condition. He asked me to let him look at it and he and his team would make an effort to get me out by 1:30 He set my up in the system and explained I would get an email soon after the check by the mechanic. Sure enough that came quick. He took the time to explain how much everything would be but not to worry they had specials and coupons. He applied all he could and did see my concern so he went one step further and explain what is urgent and what could wait. I felt so reassured and was very happy with the affordability of all the service provided. My amazement came when I sat there... oh yes I forgot he let me set up my mobile workstation so I wouldn't miss work ! But I was in awe of how Mr Johnson really managed the store! He accepted tire orders , placed parts and tire orders, took phone calls and a large amount of walk in customers. The patience and ability to keep order with all of theses things going on was very impressive. He literally explained everything to each and every customer. ALL this in 4 hours because his team stepped up and got me out of there so fast! I was able to go home, eat before heading to O'Hare. Thank you Hillside Firestone and especially Robert.

So I left went to a spot called techo auto in maywood my car was pulled in almost immediately and found out my control arm was bent and now my car is being repaired immediately cause this is a quick fix. It needed a new camshaft and we went with a Non-OEM camshaft. As it turns out, Jabob had to do the work twice becasue the non-OEM camshaft was not manufactured correctly. You would expect that the new part would be manufactured correctly - but there were visibile differences when compared side to side. Jacob spent a lot of time before diagnosing that the replacement camshaft was bad and I was not charged anything extra.

I was told what I need and what General Motors recommends I get done at certain intervals. No pressure to buy services. They explained what is urged and what can wait. I LOVED that they offer supplies from their shop OR bring in your own and they will change / install as needed. Compared to local mechanics in the area they were a great deal. Less than $60 which seems high but I used a high mileage and 8 quarts for my truck. Great value! They take cash or card. Tap is accepted too. I owe you pics fellow yelper, sorry.
