A large restaurant in Green Hills with healthier food options and free 2 hour parking. The food is pretty tasty - I got the pepperoni pizza, which was a great combo of flavors on thin sourdough crust. Unfortunately, the prices are exorbitant for (in my opinion) too small a portion size. I guess that's what you get for dining in Green Hills though. Also, FYI they don't have the typical sodas (I guess it's not a true food!). The service and atmosphere were great though! An enjoyable lunch but you might still be hungry afterwards

Very nice place to grab lunch or easy meal. Huge indoor and outdoor patio section located on the corner of a multi complex. The food is really good and tastes fresh. Large menu worth a try. The service was really good; lot of nice folks on the staff.

This place was great, the lunch combo is absolutely worth the price, and our server, Matthew, really took care of us. It's in a great spot across from the mall, and we were in and out. We will definitely be back!

Stopped by on Saturday evening with the family for dinner. Was surprised that it was fairly empty at 6pm on a Saturday, nothing like it used to be. It used to be hoping at the bar, patio and restaurant. We were seated outside and seemed they didn't assign us a waitress. Fortunately one of the wait staff asked if we had been waited on and notified our waitress. We were underwhelmed by the food on this visit. The price has always been on the high end, but used to be really good quality. This time, not so much. Two of the entrees had chicken added, one was chopped salad and the other was the pasta with chicken added. The chicken was dry, almost like it had been cooked earlier in the day, chopped and placed to the side to be added to the entrees. Not freshly made for each entree. Basically same cold dry grilled chicken pieces on each. They advertised the air fried French fries, but were very skimpy on the side of fries with burger and included a good number of overcooked fries too. Almost like I received the end of the basket leftovers. I would suggest sticking with salad side vs $2 up charge for the fries. Overall, it seems that the smaller crowd may be an indication that the quality of food and service has gone down. Unfortunately, we all said this will be our last visit.

I've been to several True Food Kitchen's in various states, it's arguably my favorite chain. As someone who generally steers clear from seed oils, I really value TFK's mission of using whole ingredients and avocado/olive oils in their dishes. I love that the menu is always changing, as I've never ordered a meal I didn't love. I typically order the grain bowl with tofu or chicken added, but today I decided to try one of the summer dishes: the watermelon salad with grilled chicken. It was a pretty good portion for being a starter and the grilled chicken only made the salad more filling. The passion fruit vinaigrette paired delightfully with the avocado mousse. To add an extra flavor kick I asked for jalapeños for a sweet-spicy combo. The staff are always so casual and friendly, making you feel right at home with every visit, wherever you're visiting from. The vibe is casual yet sophisticated and fun. This location was in a little suburban-luxury apartment complex, where it was easy to park and had parking validation. I will definitely be back, and hoping to visit all locations!

This is our first time visiting this restaurant, and I am impressed. The service has been pleasant from the moment we walked in. Our server Jess was so sweet and recommended great selections. The food was flavorful! I love spicy food and my curry bowl had a nice mild spice. The open restaurant is nice but it's a little noisy. I will visit here again.

Pretty decent food quality for vegetarian centered health food. You can order your proteins including meat. The dishes are well made with balanced flavor- I usually enjoy less salty dishes and this hit the right spot. We also ordered butternut squash pizza- I really enjoyed it. Ambience is super nice. We took outdoor seatings- when weather is good, you'll enjoy outdoor seating more. Service is great but the price is a bit on high side for the ingredients. Would come again for the pizza and the Penang curry bowl.

I set my expectations too high based on the menu and concept of this place. My wife and daughter had raved about this place, so I decided to try it for lunch while in town for an appointment. The edamame dumpling was plain with limited flavor. The teriyaki quinoa bowl with chicken looked amazing, but the chicken was dry. Our server was relatively new, but did a great job with service. There is ample inside or patio dining to accommodate your preference. I will go back and give it another chance because of my wife's and my daughter's previous experience. Everyone can have an average day.

First time back here in probably 6 years or so because I wasn't impressed with the food and the price the first time but I decided to give it another chance after a friend suggested it for lunch. We went Thursday around noon and it wasn't crowded at all. The service was decent but could use a little improvement when it comes to going over specials (I wasn't made aware there was a lunch special and would've loved to get that but oh well). I added chicken to the noodle bowl but honestly it didn't really need it. The mushrooms were hearty and actually my favorite part of the dish. I love potatoes but skip the french fries. They were hard and kind of like chips. The ketchup was unique though. My friend and I spit the bill but my card was swiped twice and I'm still waiting on the adjustment. The server was apologetic and said it was an honest mistake but it's still an inconvenience to me. They only have paid parking in that area now but True Food validates up to two hours. The menu has improved since I visited last but this definitely would not be my go-to.

Soggy fries after waiting 30+ minutes past my order quoted time online. Gross.
    WatermelonGuy ..

Online order was 30 minutes late and customer service was super lacking and inattentive, unfortunately not the first poor experience here which sucks because I used to hold TFK to such a high level of respect, sad days. Sat inside for 30 minutes and had to ask someone where my order was, no one ever even came back up to ask if I was waiting on something. Clearly poorly managed, with poor training, and bottlenecks somewhere in the service line. Overpriced and underserved. Won't be returning. Oh and even better the fries are soggy and undercooked after waiting all that time. Also legit had to ask two separate people to even talk to the manager.

We had the best brunch! Started will shrimp cocktail and butternut squash soup. Entrees were turkey burger and hamburger with seasoned fries. Outstanding menu and drink options. Our server was fantastic. We will be back!

    How do we make reservations?

    We used Open Table online.

How is parking here? No more valet?

Valet service is available Friday/Saturdays and for Sunday Brunch. Parking is very available in the four-floor subterranean garage attached to the property. No charge.

Do they have a happy hour like other True Food locations?

Happy Hour is finally here! Mondays thru Fridays, 3pm-6pm. Excellent deals on both food and drink -- might I recommend a Peach Mojito and Grilled Cheese Dipper pairing, both coming in at a stellar $8 HH pricing ea.

Special hours on the weekend ? What does that mean?

Normally the restaurant closes at 9pm, but on Friday's and Saturdays they're open until 10pm!

Do they also serve the full menu during weekend brunch hours or only the brunch menu?

I went during brunch hours & they served the full menu. Enjoy!

Is there free parking? Where is the best place to park?

As stated above, there is "free" valet parking. However, if you choose to forego the obligatory payment upon that free service, you my use the free public garage at the…

Appetizers, we got meatballs and wings. We also got a chocolate lava cake with cookies and cream ice cream as a dessert. 10/10 across the board! The wings are definitely a must - it's super light / airy crunch with great flavor. Their sauces are definitely homemade. The shrimp and grits... wow! Super buttery and creamy with amazing shrimp and gravy sauce. Must ask if they have dessert because the lava cake was SO decadent and warm. Will definitely be staying at the Hilton hotel and coming to this restaurant every time we come to Nashville! The roasted chicken wrap I was kind of disappointed by. It was mainly the fact that the chicken was extremely extremely under-seasoned and wasn't leaned well leading to fatty/gritty pieces to bite into. In the end I picked out the chicken and the wrap tasted a lot better with everything else inside. All in all, dinner options might be better than the lunch at this point. HEADS-UP the happy hour menu is bar-top only, so plan accordingly if you're going specifically for those deals. Limited seating available. Happy Hour & Spice Level I had the happy hour cocktail it was bourbon, lemon and honey. The food was flavorful overall, but I do wish the menu clearly noted which items are spicy. Most of the happy hour dishes seemed to have some kind of chili oil or heat element. That may be great for people who enjoy spice, but it would be helpful to know ahead of time, especially if you're sensitive to heat. For dessert, we always come back for the chocolate panna cotta with graham cracker crumble and burnt marshmallow, which was a nice sweet finish. This one is a must! To put this into next level I recommend adding the pretzel bites instead of graham cracker and a few salted flakes. We also tried the almond butter cornbread with blackberry, but I would avoid it. It was pretty dry and didn't have enough balance. The manager? Said it was a new item they were trying. I think it would be much better with ice cream or a salted caramel sauce to add moisture and richness. It was dry even when I mentioned it they didn't comp it we only had a bite and immediately decided it wasn't worth it. Final Thoughts Overall, Answer is a nice spot with a great happy hour, but clearer spice notes on the menu and a few tweaks to the dessert options would make the experience better. If you are seating by the bar it gets loud I wish the bartender doesn't just throw the drinks/plates so aggressively that it clanks. We had never been there and had questions but she would just point at the menu. I ordered a Diet Coke, which came in a can, one person with me ordered an old fashioned which was more glass than drink and the other people picked a beer from the list the bartender silently pointed at. This would have been a cool place if at least 1 person working here didn't look like they hated being there. Because of how we had been treated from the start we only ordered 2 appetizers, the dip and the flatbread. The dip was fine but the flatbread was like cat food on burnt toast. Oh and don't bother ordering a tea, I saw them serving bottles of gold peak tea, can't even brew tea. I do not recommend this spot unless you are okay with feeling like a burden and eating subpar food.

We had a party of six and started with several appetizers: truffle fries, braised rib pot stickers, Brussels sprouts, and crab cakes. Honestly, all great choices! There was a good variety, everything was flavorful, and there was plenty for everyone to share. The appetizers were definitely a highlight of the meal. For my entrée, I ordered the salmon with a side of mac and cheese. The salmon was fantastic and cooked perfectly medium. It was tender, flavorful, and definitely something I would order again. The mac and cheese, however, was just okay. It wasn't bad by any means, but it was pretty mediocre compared to everything else we had, so I probably wouldn't order that again. Dessert was where things really picked back up! We ordered the molten butter cake and bread pudding, and both were delicious. The molten butter cake was served on a very large plate, so presentation-wise, the dessert felt a little lost on the plate. But the cake itself? SO good. The little pieces of pretzel toffee added the perfect crunch and really took it up a notch. It's definitely rich enough to share, which is probably a good thing because you're going to want to try it! The bread pudding was equally delicious and another great choice for the table. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at The Henry. Great food, a relaxed atmosphere, and plenty of options whether you're dining with a group or just looking for a nice night out. I'd definitely recommend it and would absolutely come back!

Instead, we spent a fair amount of time looking at the menu trying to figure out what actually appealed to us. And when the food arrived, I started to understand why. The food was good. There's no question about that. We enjoyed the chicken, but even there, I found myself thinking that there was just a little too much going on. A little more sauce. Another ingredient. A garnish. Something else for texture. Then something else for contrast. At some point, I start wondering if the chef is trying to make dinner or win a culinary scavenger hunt. I prefer my elegance with a little less. Sometimes the best way to elevate a great ingredient is to give it a little room to breathe. The menu felt somewhat limited, and the food didn't quite live up to the very high expectations created by the restaurant's reviews. Everything we had was good, but I didn't walk away thinking it was as exceptional as I had anticipated. Overall, four stars. Etch is clearly a talented kitchen with a lot of creativity. I just think they may be trying a little too hard. Sometimes less really is more, especially when the ingredients are good enough to stand on their own.

All these healthy people make me embarrassed as to what I've done to my body over the past 60+ years. My daughter says that it's never too late to turn it around. But like an oil tanker plowing through the ocean waves, that turn is going to take awhile. The first bend in that turn came in the form of Ginger tofu on a bed of kale and brown rice. Boy is that stuff ever good! Fresh, and if I'm at liberty to say, healthy. So I'll be crossing the threshold of Sunflower in the future. I'll get what my daughter had. Beats me as to what it was. She raved about it, so whatever she had, it'll be in front of me soon. Quick Tip: Look out for the cat.

The Sweet Potato Casserole was disappointingly bland. It lacked both flavor and sweetness, unfortunately. The Collard Greens were actually very good! From what I tasted at the cafe, these were the best. The cafe itself has a very welcoming aesthetic. There was a man who welcomed me as soon as I entered. He was very nice and helpful. There was a salt and pepper haired woman who had an extremely unpleasant and unwelcoming attitude. I even asked a question and she ignored me. So believe those reviewers who speak on this. There's a large covered patio in the front of the restaurant, regular inside seating, and a smaller uncovered patio in the rear. I was really hoping to have a better experience here. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things, but nothing made me want to give them another chance.
