As I waited in line to order, I perused the menu, which included breakfast items, coffee, and a variety of sandwiches. Even though there were only a couple of customers ahead of me in line, each meal was made-to-order before the next order was taken. This meant that the staff prepared about half a dozen coffees, a couple of smoothies, and several meals before it was my turn to order. When I finally placed my order for a Cubano sandwich, I waited about 20 minutes for my food to be prepared. My sandwich was served piping hot, and I eagerly took my food to go so I could enjoy it at the beach nearby. Despite the wait (about an hour from the time I arrived at the cafe despite the short line), my food was delicious. The sandwich was stuffed with crispy shredded pork and ham, and a generous amount of mustard, melted cheese, and pickles pulled it all together.

I used to go there often for their Chocolates Croissant and Cookies. They are amazing! really good! 1/ No Creativity anymore: I am a little disappointed because I feel like they are selling the same pastries and bread over and over. No new things, or seasonal items! I am customer since they opened the shop a couple of year ago. We need more / new pasties/bread 2/ Taste "good" but not "great". Besides the Chocolate croissant and the cookies, I d say it is only average 3/ Overpriced. I dont feel like I have the quality that I should get for that kind of price. So...I get it...we are in Miami Beach....but at least I am expecting a "wow" when I buy a 8.50$ piece of pie. When you buy 6 items and the check is close to 40 bucks with tax.... 4/ Service. We walked in with my wife...while the staff was friendly, the owner seemed not to care. He looked at us, from head to toe, without saying anything....I think the word you were looking for were : "welcome to True Loaf" or "thanks, have a nice day". We are not impressed. I have seen some bad review in here that talk about bad service in that shop. I dont think it is bad. I mean it is Miami Beach....I dont expect great service in here anymore. But one thing though...if you want to staff to be friendly....you should lead by being exemplary. He is not. At least , if you dont wanna talk because you feel superior, just acknowledge us. Eye contact Man! 5/ Germs. Last thing that I wanted to mention is the fact that a lot of pastries that they sell are in front of you, the customer. There is no glass protecting them from people. I've heard amazing things about this place, so I decided to pass by and check it out yesterday. I went in around later in the afternoon and walked right out after seeing a display practically empty and the girls working told me it was on a different display and they brought a tray over to me with different things, I couldn't even take the time to look myself and decide. Customer service was lovely 100%, but the way things were displayed in a different part of the bakery where customers couldn't see what was what unless you're standing outside in this horrible miami heat is honestly disgusting. I don't want to have to stand outside staring at a window in 90 degree heat in order to decide what I want to eat. I appreciate the girls in the front apologizing for it, it wasn't their fault. Do better True Loaf no one wants to stand outside staring at a window because you can't even see it when standing by the register so there really is no way of knowing what there is or what there isn't I would rather go to Maman where everything is inside. The cashier with glasses was extremely rude to one of the clients when the client was asking for her reimbursement. That cashier woman was very rude, called her in a a very disrespectful tone plus threw a yogurt at her. This was unnecessary. This reaction from that cashier spoiled the entire vibe. I had a business meeting and was happily surprised to find a European style bakery here in Miami. Enjoyed my flaky croissant. Nice little outdoor setting. A little bit pricey I must say but hey its South beach after all and businesses surely dont pay cheap rents, especially in this neighborhood. I ll be back for more. read more
