Keough Chiropractic is close to my home so I decided to give them a try. I was really impressed with their office staff from calling to schedule my appointment on through to my first few visits. (Megan at the front desk is really so friendly and helpful!). I like the extra care the office as a whole as well as the Dr's place around total wellness. First appointment included a few photos to document my current alignment and then a short video to cover chiro care (helpful if this is all new to you). Upon meeting Dr. M she was friendly, even though she did confirm I had received chiropractic adjustments in the past, she still treated me as a new patient. Explaining details to me and everything she was doing through the initial appt. During my second visit Dr. M reviewed her findings with me and also discussed the care she recommends for her findings. Again she used charts and diagrams to really help me understand exactly what was happening with my body and how she would anticipate the course of treatment over time will help. After my adjustment I proceeded to the therapy area where I laid for about 10 min on a table that rolled up and down my back to set the adjustment I just had done. Overall I cannot say enough good things about this office. Their focus and care for total wellness, including infant and children is reassuring because I know that I can continue my care with this practice once my baby arrives. A little background to help you understand my perspective. I am in the healthcare profession and super picky about who I chose for any healthcare provider for my family or I and I do a ton of research on them, read all reviews, etc before deciding one. My 10 year old son was diagnosed with generalized anxiety and panic attacks when he was just 5 years old after a major life event. His pediatrician recommended a high protein diet, sleep schedule, among other things all of which I did and my son did not show any Improvement. His doctor then recommended CBD. While it was effective, I didn't want my young son to think that every-time he had an issue/panic attack that turning to "drugs" was the answer. I felt it was setting him up for possible future issues thinking substances were the answer. During all of this, he was seeing a counselor, who my son loved. When I didn't feel like the counselor was making any progress as there wasn't any change in my son, we switched counselors who gave us several helpful strategies, such as "telling the bad or the "bully" thoughts to shut up and to replace those thought with positive ones. This was occasionally helpful. You see, when your own child is having these thoughts, on the verge of a panic attack and you, as a parent, tell him to do as the counselor suggests, it appeared to be too late as he "wouldn't listen" or take my advise to stop the thoughts, etc and would still have a panic attack. Bringing us to two months ago. Dr. Lynn at Core Chiropractic and Acupuncture was recommended to me by a friend. I did not hesitate to take my son there. I have been through 5 years of anxiety, panic attacks, and all of the above mentioned changes all which felt like all resulted in wasted time. Dr. Lynn listened carefully, asked me and my son questions. She really took her time to understand the full situation. (Not many doctors or healthcare professionals do this anymore). It is really hard to find one who does. Anyway, Dr. Lynn gave my son an adjustment and performed acupuncture on him. As of today, my sons has had 3 or 4 adjustments and acupuncture at the same time. In that small amount of time, she practically erased 5 years of anxiety and panic attacks. I am not kidding! My son went to an overnight camp where previously he would have never spent the night anywhere out of fear. He started a new school this year since he is now in 5th grade. While he was nervous on his first day, he did not show any signs of anxiety or have a panic attack like he would have in the past. Furthermore, he has been in school for 2 weeks and absolutely LOVES it. He used to hate school because of the anxiety it brought him. As a mom who has spent 5 years trying at what felt like absolutely everything and not seeing anything work, I felt helpless. Lynn is a miracle worker! I cannot believe the changes in my son. He is like a new kid!!! I literally cry tears of joy and relief at the changes in him. The other day, I asked him what he thought helped his anxiety and what changed.
