Showed up on the day to rent bikes and they allowed us to try a few before deciding. The bikes could be in better condition, most of the fleet were showing significant wear. One of our e-bikes had low battery charge and even though someone was able to bike out to where we were to delivery another battery, the replacement was also low and wouldn't be enough for the time we rented. We also lost time waiting for the other battery. However, kudos to the staff and owner because they made it right for us when we returned the bikes. Spot has good staff and a great location. I used to recommend them, but things have changed. I purchased a Rad 2 foldable e-bike in 2022 for…read moremy wife for $1,800. Liked it so much I purchased another one in 2024 for me. My wife's came with a set of road tires and mine with off road nobby tires. We primarily camp in beach and fire road locations so we wanted to upgrade her tires from the street to off road. Made appointment and was then told they could do a tune up and change the rear tire but they couldn't change the front tire because it's a "Quick Release" front tire on the front fork. Note that this is a foldable bike with stock original quick release front tire for transporting, no modifications. II said I don't understand, I'm in the Huntington Beach store where I purchased the Rad bike and you won't change the front tire with another Rad tire? ANSWER: No. you purchased the bike from "Rad Power Bikes Inc" which was sold to "Rad *+%#!£¥€! Corporation" and we no longer service those old bikes with the quick release axel on the front fork due to "Safety Reasons". Safety reasons? Whose safety? The service technician or the owner? If it's the owner was there a recall??! Sounded to me like another strong case of Corporate Winnie BS so I left with my bike and went to my local bike shop who was more than happy to change my tires. Bottom Line: Buyer beware. I purchased from this company when there was a lot of start up companies selling cheap Chinese crap for far less believing a large company would stand the test of time and stand by their product. I even recommended them to 4 friends who purchased their bikes from them. Now I get to call them and say hey I'm so sorry! If they won't even change their own stock tire imagine what they won't do with something more serious. I'd go down the street, there are plenty of other e-bike companies out there.
