I was set out to take the bike out for a ride. As i was riding I felt like it was a bit flat. I asked for the nearest bike shop and stumbled on this shop. Sorry I didn't get the names of the young lady who helped me. But I knew I needed a special thing/attachment for my bike to get air into the bike. She was so helpful and so nice. After the purchase two young gentleman helped put air into the tires and I was ready to ride again. I totally would recommend this place. Everyone was so pleasant in helping me. read more

Went into test ride a new bicycle. Was denied a test ride because I did not have my ID on me. However, I did have my hospital ID which cleary shows my picture, my name and that I work at Huntington Beach Hospital. I was still denied the test ride as that apparently was not adequate. My truck was parked in the parking lot where they do the test rides. I also offered to give them my debit card as well as collateral. Will take my business elsewhere. Sometimes, a policy can be bent a little to make a sale and reasonable accommodations apparently aren't that common here. read more

Bought a beach cruiser on Amazon and it turned out horribly so have been looking for a cruiser but everywhere I go most of the bikes are electric but they actually had regular bikes here and cute ones too but was only looking until I get my refund back anyways Jordan who was working was awesome, let me just look with no pressure but very nice and friendly and when he saw I liked one of the bikes was very helpful and knowledgeable. The guys here are great at knowing their product they had an answer for every question I could throw at them, which lead to my first HBBC purchase I got my cruiser for my everyday commute to work and I'm confident with the help and understanding I received from them that this bike is going to be with me for a very long time. They have cruiser bikes, roller blades, and custom skate boards and long boards and their prices aren't crazy high which you would normally expect for a business in downtown Huntington Beach. read more

SCAMMIDY SCAM SCAM SCAMMERS Seems like a nice day for a bike ride right? Well How about GETTING TAKEN FOR A RIDE!? If you have the misfortune of getting a flat tire during your ride to the beach... SAVE yourself the TIME, TROUBLE... AND THE MONEY...& DON'T GO HERE! PAYING EASYRIDER to FIX YOUR BIKE IS NOT GOING TO GET YOUR BIKE FIXED & it's NOT GOING TO GET YOU HOME. We were on a casual bike ride Sunday afternoon May 17. My husband got a flat tire. No big deal. There was Easyrider, a bike shop, just 1 block from where we were when we realized the flat. Perfect!! .... Or so we thought. Well, we walked his bike in, & Asked for a new tube. They had US WAIT OVER 30 MINUTES while they PRETENDED TO DO A TIRE REPAIR They charged $17. Which would make sense for the work if pulling the wheel off & doing the tube replacement, & also for the cost of the tube. We paid it, no problem! Then we Rode just the couple blocks from the shop to the pier. Locked the bikes up & walked down to the sand. When we came back, the tire WAS COMPLETELY FLAT. He waited there alone for an hour as I had to rode all the way home... ALONE...& tried to find someone with an SUV big enough to come pick up both him AND THE FAKELY REPAIRED BIKE. The next day I called EasyRider. I called & called. I thought they could tell me what to do... bring it in for them to check out... something...Anything. But the phone was always busy or just rang & rang. Next day I called right when they opened & then a few times throughout the day... same story. No answer. Memorial Day went by... still flat. Still no use of our bike that we had SUPPOSEDLY had REPAIRED at EASYRIDER. Still I call and call. Still no answer. No way to leave a voicemail, nothing. It's almost like..: they Know they're scammers, so they really don't want to take any calls about the imaginary work they charge for. Well today, I took the wheel off, took the tire off the wheel. Took the tube out... you know... all that "work" EASYRIDER has charged us to do so that I wouldn't have to. Wow! WHAT A SURPRISE NOT ONLY was it THE SAME TUBE I PUT ON A YEAR AGO.... THERE HAD BEEN NO REPAIR MADE TO IT!!!! No repair. No patch. Nothing. JUST A Nice HISSSSSSSSSSSS of LEAKING AIR any time I put air into it. Still I couldn't believe it. I marked the area because I intended to show the people at EasyRider where the hole was so that they can patch it. So I called... AGAIN. AGAIN. AGAIN. 3 times I called today... until i came to my senses. THEY DONT CARE. THEY DIDN'T REPAIR THE TUBE. THEY DIDN'T REPLACE THE TUBE. THEY JUST FILLED IT WITH AIR, CHARGED US, and then Sent us off on our Merry little way. I'm sure they do this all the time. Otherwise why would they not take a call? I FIXED IT MYSELF AFTER A WEEK AND A HALF OF CALLING. So believe me. IT'S NOT WORTH YOUR TIME. IT'S NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY UNLESS YOU ENJOY GETTING RIPPED OFF. So really... if you do have the misfortune of getting a flat tire... Save yourself all the trouble, and just start calling around to find a friend that can pick you up. First off, the frames and craftwork and overall designs of HBBC are off the chains (no pun) Always got compliments on my bike and so when my first one got stolen (always buy a sturdy lock!) of course I had to go back and buy another HBBC. Shane assisted me with EVERYTHING. He was intuitive towards my needs and his customer service and attention to detail were second to none in the area. I forgot my bicycle lock at home and didn't want to leave my vintage bikes on the sidewalk while we shopped. Since we're near the beach I knew I would find bicycle shops nearby. I stopped at this store and they had exactly what I was looking for a long U-lock that gave me enough space to lock both our bikes together. The young guy assisting us was beyond helpful and very knowledgeable about the products they sold. read more

Went to HBBC to get my back wheel tightened and left buying handlebars, lights and a few other things. The service was so good I felt I definitely needed to write a review. Shane (turns out he just became assistant manager) helped me out. This young kid has great communication skills and work ethic! They definitely made the right decision to make him assistant manager. He was very helpful and quick. I tried to offer a tip to him for his work and he said "it's my job, just leave a nice yelp review". Tip top service! All the young kids at this store were great and I appreciate seeing that. I'll definitely go back to that place. read more

As a new biker, I'm learning the in's and out's, do's and dont's of playing with my bike. I learned the hard way, trying to fit my bike in my 2017 Honda Accord to not take off the back wheel if you have no idea how to put the chain back on. I had plans to drive to the beach on labor day and ride to meet my goal of riding for the Great Cycle Challenge raising money to fight against kids cancer. I pledged to ride 75 miles in the month of September. I called ahead and spoke to someone to see if they can help me put the chain back on when I made it out there, they said they could help. I got to the shop, and it was busy, but Jacob approached me and offered help. He was able to get the chain back on, and check on my brakes all while helping others as he was working. The process took no more than 10 minutes, I could tell he was a pro. I just want to express my appreciation for the assistance in such a last minute fashion. I was able to get on the road and meet my daily goal for the challenge. The store itself was beautiful, clean and friendly. I'll definitely be back as a go-to for any biking needs when I'm out in Huntington Beach! read more

This place is super cool!! When I picked up my bike I asked last minute if I could have my tires chgd from white/black to pink/pink and the Manager kindly did it for me!! Even though he was busy with other stuffed. The 2 hr drive here was totally worth it!! The employees were totally friendly and welcoming, made me wanna come back with friends. I plan on getting more bikes later on , there very classy and I was shocked to find 95% of bikes in store we're already sold! So if u want a bike , I suggest pre ordering it online . read more

Well this weekend was exciting while on our way back from HB to LB my bf broke his chain on his expensive triathlon crazy bike .. eye roll! So we walk down main after someone recommended this place due to covid they weren't doing repairs and Jacob and the other sales guys helped us we didn't even have to beg !! I give this place two thumbs up also and an A+ for customer service. I needed my crankshaft removed from a bike I was painting and I called in and talked to Eric the owner. Then he told me to bring it down to the shop. As I walked in I saw the mechanic very busy, but I went to the front desk and told them I was there and that Eric told me to come in. I was taken to the mechanic and he looked at my bike and immediately took it in and removed the crank shaft quickly. He was very nice and I wanted to give him recognition for the excellent service he provided. The whole staff at the shop was helpful. I'll be back for anything I need for my bike going forward! read more

I went in on Saturday just looking for a electric bike for my son and walked out with a great bike. Jack, Brad, Logan were fantastic very knowledgeable and there to help and the whole process was quick and easy within 15 minutes we were out the door with a brand new bike and a smile on my son's face. This is review is based on my visit on March 21, 2015. I've been here before to get air in my tires on my beach cruiser and the people here were very friendly and courteous, so I told them I'd be back in a few weeks for some whitewall tires. 1 month later I returned and asked them to install tires, handgrips on my bike and a horn and handgrips on my wife's bike. They had our bikes ready when promised and did a great job, their prices are good too on their accessories. I will be back here soon to get tires put on my wife's bike. The only thing holding this back from five stars is the fact that it sits in the busiest part of the beach (for obvious reasons) so parking does not come easy to find or cheap as you either must hike from a nearby housing track track allows parking or use a neighboring lot of meters. But we spent alittle over $300 there on everything! There is a $35 or $45 entrance fee depending on when you come. It's just to come inside the lagoon. If you want the obstacle course it's an additional $10 per person for 55 mins (super short). If you want to kayak, use the aqua bike or use the paddleboard it's an additional $10 per equipment/item. There is a kiddie area for small and young children. They DO NOT allow outside food or drinks except water! There is a small shop that sells misc. items, snacks & drinks (overpriced). They also had a foodtruck inside that was expensive and the meals didn't come with drinks. They do have plenty of staff and lifeguards there. The entrance fee should of been $15-20. The obstacle course atleast 90-120 mins instead of the 55 mins. Wish the foodtruck came with drinks and was a bigger portion.

Too hard justifying $85 per month, year 'round, and soon to increase...again. We'll miss the tennis courts...easily the best part and most under used part of the club. Decided to surprise my wife with a relaxing duffy boat ride for our wedding anniversary with some friends. Went straight to Yelp to do my research (thanks Yelp!). Originally, I was going to book with a rental company for Newport Harbor, but then came across a Groupon for PCH Electric Boats. After checking out their website and reading the glowing reviews on Yelp, I immediately booked. I called to book a white duffy boat on the day before Thanksgiving. The person on the phone was friendly, courteous and really easy-going. They asked if I had a Groupon and if I could provide the voucher number. BOOM. done. all set! I received an email with VERY DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS (including photos) of where to park and where the meeting area was. Additionally, a link to the waiver form that every passenger is required to fill out (even your babies) was included in that email. On the day of our booking, we were met by the owner Grant who I'm pretty sure was the same friendly, courteous and easy-going person I talked to on the phone days earlier when I booked. He provided specific instructions on where we're allowed to go and what to avoid. He saw we had several small children in our party and recommended everyone use the restroom nearby before boarding since there is not place to stop out in the harbor. After we came back from our potty break, Grant lead us down to the dock and got all the kiddos fitted for their life vests (all in great condition btw). He assisted us with our bags so we could focus on boarding the kids safely and even took a group photo for us! The boat was clean and easy to drive. The sound system was bumping and all the windows easily lifted up for that nice harbor breeze. It was a beautiful and memorable day. On our return, Grant was at the dock with one of his employees ready to receive us. He guided us in smoothly and as we were gathering our belongings and cleaning up, he helped all the kids out and grabbed our bags. We handed Grant a tip and immediately he passed it over to his employee who was going to do the post-ride cleaning.. what a great boss!!!! Definitely will be booking with PCH Electric Boats again! Thanks Grant!!!!

I bought my bike here almost 2 years ago because it compared in price and quality to other well-known namebrand electric bikes. The coup d'état for me was I wanted to support local businesses and at the same time make it easy for me for any future possible repairs; they offer lifetime free tuneups! That's the bomb! I brought my bike in yesterday because my back brakes were shot. I thought I might need new brakes or new pads at the minimum. When I brought my bike in and explained the problem, Jordan immediately got down on the ground with his flashlight and inspected my rear brakes! He informed me of the good news that my pads looked fine, the brakes were good and I only needed a little tightening down of one of the parts! Imagine that; no expensive repairs or parts needed. He also asked me if there were any other noises or wobbling's or anything that I have experienced and I did have a little bit of friction on a right turn, I told him. I picked up my bike a little more than an hour later, brakes working perfectly, a tuneup and a tweak here and there for a couple of loose things (I ride my bike hard! I'm a So Cal native Roadie cyclist currently living in SF, was down in HB for a few days and decided to stop in to this place. Up til that moment I had zero interest in a beach cruiser. My memories were always of some goofy stoner zig-zagging around on a Schwinn smoking a cigarette. Not my scene at all. BUT, After checking out the bikes in this place, I can't stop thinking about getting one and doing some cruising around. My whole perspective on beach cruisers has been changed due to the uniqueness and creativity of these bikes. Design, colors, accessories, all really cool stuff. I also have to comment on the prices. Single and 3 speed bikes were a really good deal compared to the prices I see up here in the SF Bay Area. That was ultimately the final straw for me to buy from this place when the time comes. I plan on moving back to So Cal soon and wherever I land, I'm gonna drive to HB and get one of these bikes. Also, the guys in the shop seemed cool and non-pushy. Hopefully the shop comes thru when I arrive to buy one. Til then, I rate 3-4 stars based on awesome looking bikes and a pleasant/neutral staff. After purchase, if all's well, it'll be a 5 star ride. read more

Brad was super helpful in helping us pick out some additional items that would go on our new bikes. He helped explain different bike locks to help us protect us from theft. I found the muffins and donuts, but it took a little longer to find a great bike shop. I stopped by several of them in the Huntington Beach area and I found one that has a real passion for the customer, Huntington Beach Cycles on Atlanta. They recently had to make a tough decision. They got so backed up with service work they needed to lock the doors to focus on repairs which created no bike sales or parts sales for the few days they had to close. I know it's tough on some of us that had bikes in behind closed doors, but I respect a business owner to keep his commitment to service and repair the bikes that he had taken in and focus on his service. During the last several weeks they lost a technician and that put some extra workload on the rest of the staff. Mike did a great job servicing our bikes. I also noticed that the owner of the shop, Kevin, has an outstanding relationship with his team and they all share his passion for the customer. I remember going in our 1st time when it was first opened with different owners. They were fantastic & made me feel comfortable. They were not intimidating and the service went great. We took our bikes there a 2nd time, I don't know who the owner was at the time, and everything was fine. This is our 3rd time taking our bikes for service there. This time our experience was not the same under the current ownership. No shade to the owner. He was very nice & pleasant. I'm glad to see a lot of good reviews but that was not my experience. We dropped off our mountain non-e bikes for general service as they weren't running great at the end of the week. He mentioned that they'd be looked at the following Tuesday with an estimate (week 1). He mentioned that it'd be possible to adjust recommended repairs to suit our budget. Great! No problem. Very considerate suggestion. But we didn't hear from him on Tuesday or any day that 1st week. We tried calling a couple times that week but no answer. We tried stopping by at 11 (posted opening time was 10) and there was a note on the door they open at noon. We stopped by another day & it seems there was a family emergency so he'd get to us the 2nd week. We got busy and another week rolled around and a 2nd Tuesday with no news on the repair estimate. We called a couple times the 2nd week & there was no answer. We stopped by around 4:30 and it was closed (posted closing time was 6). We called again that weekend & he said his tech would come in the next Tuesday, the 3rd week, to look at the bikes. At this point, the bikes are sitting in the shop for 2 full weeks going on a 3rd before anyone even looks at them for an estimate. This does not inspire confidence that the bikes would even be done that 3rd week. While maybe they would have finally been repaired in the 3rd week, we decided cut our losses & take our bikes elsewhere. I truly hope this business succeeds, but we're probably not going to go back.
