This is a new review based on the last few months. Since August I have been going to Helen for my nails. She's very nice! I started with acrylic nails and liked them but changed to hard gel. Writing this on behalf of my mother who has no Yelp account. A couple months ago she (mom) went to get a pedicure and get her ingrown toe nail out. She felt pain the next day, returned and was told everything was fine. She returned the following day and was told by the apparent "owner" that they would check again after paying a fee ($15), which she agreed to and nothing wrong was found. The next day (4 days after the initial pedicure) she was still in great pain and went to a podiatry specialist who said her toe nail was infected. Total cost to correct the issue was $321 dollars! Too bad I'm just hearing about this now (two months later) because your establishment was RIPE FOR A LAWSUIT since the doctor could prove there was a mishandling of her toenail. Fast forward to today, Mom made the mistake of going back. She got the gold pedicure and service was rushed and did not receive the same attention she can clearly see given to others. There was a clear distinction of service like getting only open person doing both feet and hands vs two people doing feet and hands separately. I've counseled my mom to simply not return to establishments with poor work and that don't treat her right. Plain and simple, don't go back read more

Update: my nail chipped the next day, and then my other nail 1/2 came off, and I had pockets of air underneath. I went back fully expecting to not really be helped but thankfully they gave me absolutely no grief and redid my nails, and really took their time and I am completely happy with it! So thank you so much for my pretty nails! I have been here before, my hubby and I get pedicures together and they were really nice and did a really good job. However, today we went here and did pedicures and I also splurged and did the gel nails. Boy am I not impressed by the gel nails! Not only are they uneven, she burned my fingers in the uv light thing, I'm guessing, bc she painted my skin under my nails. From a distance they look nice but they are super thick and it's like she put too much polish on some nails that it dripped during the drying thing and then she didn't cover all the spots and so they are Rough in spots .... it was enough that I won't be doing that again! I dropped into this establishment, being in the area, it was getting late, so I didn't go to my normal spot. HUGE MISTAKE!! The girl that provide services was named IVY. She did a basic manicure and pedicure (no color or anything crazy), so it was very simple. She RUSHED through everything, wrongly cut near the edge of my toe and one finger. It was overall a horrible experience. My big toe has been throbbing all day and I believe I will have a hang nail on my index finger. I attempted to call today, and asked for the Manager. Paid $58 for a full set. Asked for Coffin shaped Plum Matte Nails. The color was not 'plum' it looks much more brown. The polish is uneven & very lumpy, the matte finish isn't over all the nail, the bottom of my nail was left very messy. The shape is uneven and square verses the coffin shape I asked for. In the salon, I didn't notice the flaws but in natural lighting it just looks really really bad. read more

I first came to here on February 16. I originally came in for a regular pedicure and gel mani, but after the technician insisted that dip powder was better and stronger I decided to do it; it was an additional $10 which made it come out to $36 but I don't mind paying for quality. First, the color I got was NOT the color I chose, but I didn't speak up and therefore I take partial responsibility. I was told this lasts 3+ weeks. By Sunday the 18th, 3 of my toes had chipped. A $30 pedicure that lasted 2 days, first strike. By Tuesday the 20th, two of my dip powder nails had chipped also and 3 were already lifting. I call in Tuesday afternoon I call and tell them that the nails had chipped and what could be done. They tell me to come in anytime. I go in Friday, but what they forgot to mention is that the girl who did my original manicure was supposed to fix it "because they work commission and can't be fixing work for free" Im sorry but i was not told and frankly I didn't care, i paid $36 for something that lasted 4 days? No mam. After 15-20 mins someone takes me and once again reminds me she's not getting paid because she works commission, not my problem. I paid for a service advertised to last 3+ weeks and was not delivered. I decide to give them another try on March 2nd, only 2 weeks after, instead of the 3+ because most of the nails were chipped and lifting. It is now March 6th the exact 4 days before my last set chipped, and one finger has chipped once again. Either the girl doesn't know how to properly do dip powder, or the quality of products are not good, needless to say I will not be coming back. I am a receptionist and don't do a lot of heavy work, so there is no reason for chipping to happen. read more

I was hoping to fall in love with this place considering I am still on the hunt for a salon to frequent. In a nutshell: nice polish choices, pretty set up, nice receptionist, inconsistent service/quality The receptionist was kind enough to let me bring my preschooler in despite their "no children" sign. I did ensure he was as behaved as possible considering many customers, like me, just wanted to relax after a long work week. Wait was average for a Friday afternoon (about 30 minutes). There was a good variety of quality nail polishes. The gel polish selection seemed nice too. So when Lisa called me over to get my pedicure, I was excited to tell her my color choice but the selection she gave me was different. I didn't want to insist on more options after asking her 2x if there were more (she said no). My pedicure overall sucked. She hardly filed/trimmed my nails & cuticles, the massage felt more like a rub down and her polish job was poorly executed (see attached photo). She was kind enough to offer my preschooler a drink but never was I offered anything. My gel manicure on the otherhand was a bit more pleasant. They do a good job with the final presentation, lathering your hands with both lotion and cuticle oil. But not exactly anything I could fully brag about or urge for someone to try. read more

I have been coming to this nail salon for over a year now and I will definately NOT be back! Some of the ladies are nice and some are NOT and the ones that are NOT nice need some etiquette classes and need to learn good manners when working with customers. I am there to relax not to be interrigated! Van does a nice job on acrylic with gel overlay, what she seriously lacks is manners adn tact! Dont "scold" me and tell me my cuticles are dry and show me the skin on your clippers, with her saying to me "tisk - tisk" this is not good! This is why I come to the nail salon to get a manicure and my nails done?? The gal that did my pedicure, doesnt know how to listen to the customer when I told her three times, no thank you I do not want gel on my toes. Then she had Van the gal doing my nails suggest I get gel on my toes too?? WTH!! To top it off a fullset of acrylic nails with gel overlay is $35, and the same price for a fill?? Van also charged me an additional $5 for a cuticle trim and $3 to shorten my already short nails?? No thank you, I do not want to be nickeled and dimed, nor do I want to be scolded for having too much skin on my cuticles (I get my nails done every three weeks) and I dont want to have them shove their additional services down my throat until I say yes! read more
